You have to hand it to Bioware, if they didn't bring legion into the story to put a face and personality on the Geth everyone wouldn't try to defend their actions against the Quarians in the Morning War.

I seriously hope Tali is a long-term squad-mate in ME3. She's quirky and I love her character! So does my Shepherd... But seriously we need to get the gang back together...Tali included! I need my tech-spec.!

True, if Legion wasn't there the geth would still probably just be an enemy type to kill by the thousands.

I know I've seen her in the E3 demo, but Casey Hudson has kept his lips tight about all of the characters. You see them, but they might have other things to do... :(

Well, with the amount of people that really like Tali and want to see her face finally revealed, I'm pretty sure she'll be in the game.

@Paragon she has been confirmed to be a full squadmate, do not fret.

Looking at her old suit reminds me of how different it looks. She must have gotten a new one while shepard was dead.

Considering how any playthrough of ME1 will often have Tali changing her suit about 12 times before the game is over, I imagine that it's not really that big a deal for her (the suit changing that is, not Shepard dying).

What do you guys think BW bringing back the sex scene like ME1 for ME3? I've heard it but I don't know if it's a rumor or if it's been confirmed.

Also, if it is confirmed, do you guys think BW will take us to that level of Romance with Tali?

They better or they'll be hell to pay. My shep will buy plenty of anti-histimine beforehand to deal with her allergic reaction after a nice evening on the beaches of Rannoch:police:

honestly if it is just like ME1 I would be more then satisfied maybe a bit longer and more passionate though like you see Shepard take off her helm and see her face before he goes in for a deep kiss initiating the love scene :)

like i said before in another thread, I hope they go all out on the sex-scenes and give us a godofwar-like button sequence thing to go along with it. With the dramatic music, intense camera angles and everything. Sort of like this man making a sandwich, except with more sex.

slow-mo tali pounce button sequence ftw.

Technically the Quarians didn't "attack" the geth at first. The Quarians panicked, tried to turn the Geth off, (Which would constitute as an attack by the geth point of view, but its just turning off your assembly line to the Quarians.) The geth didn't take kindly to that, and it sparked off from there.

It was a logical move to make. The only other options effectively amounted to standing around while the geth got smarter and more organized and thus more dangerous. Too bad the quarians were already too late.

It really bugs me that whenever this is brought up in game Shepard is never allowed to agree with the quarians/Tali.

Agreed. I am not condemning anyone here. I have symapthy for the Quarians, and I think they have paid enough as it is, but what can ya do?

I just think everyone needs to sit down, shut up, and listen to momma/poppa sheppy as s/he saves them all from the reapers.

How is attacking a specie that has never showed any agression towards the Quarians at all logical? The Geth asked if they had a soul they were just trying to understand their place in the world with their newly aquired sentience and the 'logical' move is to try and kill them? If the Quarians were affraid the Geth would attack them than why in god's name would they do the one thing that ensures that they're going to be attacked?

Like I said once before, the Quarians didn't start with killing. The Quarians tried to turn the Geth off. Thats not attacking, at least not in the proper sense.

Someone made a good analogy no long before, the one with the toaster. You finish building you toaster, you put all the cogs and gears in youself... then suddenly after many long years using that toaster, it suddenly asks you what its purpose is, why you are shoving bread in its face, etc.

A normal person would unplug the thing and find out whats wrong. However, you find as you try to unplug it the toaster burns your hand and forces you out of your house...

Its not really a comparable analogy though. Skynet and the Geth were both built differently.

Its not like you can unshackle the geth, they were not even true AI's to begin with.

do you think tali ever wonders why nobody thought the super-advanced artificial intelligence sitting in the room would one day think it was alive?

I think AI's already know they're alive.

I do wonder what Tali thinks of EDI by the end of ME2, though.  Tali never talks about EDI or has a conversation with it, so we can't really tell if her opinion on artificial intelligences has softened throughout ME2.

All computers are machines made to think. In fact computers are highly intelligent, they just have the problems of following instructions to literally.

There are computers today that can "learn" but they are not sapient, or even sentient. For example look at this link.

http://www.popsci.co...rces-each-other

While it might seem impressive, those machines are not thinking, they are not alive. They are just doing their job, following the instructions programmed into them that gives the illusion of human intelligence.. Thats what the Quarians were doing with the Geth, that is until some sort of mistake allowed the Geth to become sentient.

From the sounds of it, the Geth were not even made to learn. The Geth started out as VI's! They only became AI's when networked together, hardly a situation they could have forseen.

That will be Joker's advice to Tali and the Quarians after Rannoch is returned to them in ME3. Wise words.
