No explicitly, but some of them do give Shepard crap for being human, in Tali's loyalty mission. I wouldn't be surprised if at least one of the quarians in ME3 disagreed with Shepard's relationship with her.

At which case you take a hint from tali and call the guy a "Bosh'tet'" .

That would be awesome if that happend.

The "LI saves Shepard, for once" would be indeed a nice idea. But then also there should be a neutral alternative for who didn't romance anyone to still give them the chance to play the sequence. Maybe the Shep's XO?

I'd be fine if the VS rescued Shepard and had a non-intimate conversation with him, for new players (I doubt old players would pass up all romances). It wouldn't be that much work, either; Low risk, and the priiize!

But I don't think is going to happen, the intro is the rescue mission.

Gotta show my Tali love in the new forum thread! Hopefully we'll have a lot more freedom in our mission selection this time around (more akin to ME1 than ME2) so I can pick up Tali sooner rather than later. :3

I read somewhere that you visit Rannoch and another location(Palaven?) early in the game, I don't remember very well.

Some of the text accompanying the E3 stuff said that Shep was checking out that base with the Reaper hidden in it at the request of the Flotilla. It could be there are a couple of things we'll be doing for them.

If you put aside my delicious sarcasm, all that post really did was point out that it's actually very hard (if not almost impossible) to see her facial expressions because her visor is so opaque. Which is true, because, you know, it is. I know it's to preserve her appearance ambiguity and so forth, but realistically she should be bumbling about like a blind chicken and running into walls to the left and right with that hard-to-see-through visor.

Yea, I'd guess at least 2 missions centering around the geth/quarian subplot. The first one one is where you can pick up Tali (if she's not alive, the mission still has some value towards resolution of the plot), the second one occurs later on in the game and resolves it.

I wanna recruit Tali (and Garrus) from the beginning, not from half the game like in ME2.

And show her face... I don't care what bioware comes up with. It's the surprise/revelation/reward that matters to me. My preconceptions are neither right or wrong.

Hello there!
There's an uncanny number of new faces around the Tali thread recently...

I'd say yes, it would be cool, but I'm not certain the game will allow you to choose your second-in-command/ XO, just like you couldn't in ME1 (where it was Pressley) and in ME2 (where it was Miranda)...

Given what we know, I believe the second-in-command will canonically be the VS (whoever that is in your game), then again we still don't know how the game will handle these things and, like I said, it certainly would be cool...

VS is this forum's jargon to indicate the Virmire Survivor, that is either Kaidan or Ashley depending on your game...

And having Tali since the beginning is a hope that's shared by many in this thread...

I am in a quite difficult dilemma here...

Seeing as I hate tali with a passion... should I have her killed in ME2 or wait until ME3, hoping that it's possible to whack her off there?

She's just so annoying to me. Whiny little brat...

But, for all those who love her so much, I hope you get what you want and that we are given the opportunity to both romance her to death and... well, bludgeon her to death

I'd have to agree with this.

Miranda might have been keeping an eye on things on the ship (since that's where she stayed for all but a couple missions.), but Tali was always my second in command. Brought her along for the majority of missions. Especially being able to get her near the start of the game (thank you Gibbed).

Along with Zaeed and Shepard, it was an almost perfect team. In my opinion, at least. Then, on a number of missions, I'd replace Zaeed with Garrus. I really don't think Tali is as useless on the field as some people make her out to be. I've blitzed through Insanity several times with Tali and Garrus. Can't say I've ever had a problem.
