Difficult to decide which one I like more. The purple-y skin gives her a more alien and exotic look, while the human-y skin also makes her look just as beautiful.

 Well I'm usually kept busy despite my relative lack of life, so I can read a few pages, have to do something, but by the time I'm back there's been another 5 pages. Weekend, though so hopefully won't fall behind

How is how often we talk about Tali an off-topic talk? And if you notice the wall high pictures of Tali all over the bar where there's no window - and the subtlety carved glass vigil in one of the observation windows - then you will notice this bar is very on-topic. Right down to the Emergency Induction Ports.

Since it's the ending, I think it should end with a epic conclusion.  As good as it can get.

That line crushed my heart.

As heart wrenching as that conversation was, there's a significant amount of beauty in something that can make you feel so emotionally invested in something of fiction. I was impressed, to say the least.

People seem to gloss over other parts of the conversation though.  When he responds "I know" and then is all "Whatever happens" and her response?  "I know".   The whole conversation is dripping with meaning in those few words.  I found it interesting that the Tali romance conversations seem to imply a lot more communication on a non-verbal level.  And yes I know you can say they just wrote less, but I'd like to think it emphasizes the fact that Shep and Tali are very much in sync and understand each other to the point where they don't need all the exposition.

In other news, and on subject of Tali'Zorah vas Normandy, the photoshopped pic really didn't clear up the skin issue. What's your (anyone) take on Tali's skin? What color is it? is it scaly? or latex-y? What do you guys think?

Too creepy? .____. I mean this in the most platonic sense.

Considering the one novel states they are human-like.  I assumed the skin is like human skin in texture but a light shade of purple.

I concur, very light purple, mostly skin colour. Fits pretty well I think.

The awesome thing about Tali'Zorah fan art is that 25 percent at least tops the Bioware face picture and 90 percent is more original an idea than that. I keep getting the feeling they never wanted her to matter. They accidentially made her the cutest girl of the universe, and they never got to terms with it that it beat their poster child, Liara, and that their other poster child, Ashley, basically flopped in the eyes of fans. I believe the writers and developers showed some flexibility, but not enough for those very flexible times, the internet makes it to highly volatile a surrounding.

Preferably not while unpacking, but sure, that's what it's there for.

Oh, and to chip in on the skin color issue - she's wearing a mask that filters light, at least, and the rest of her skin is covered completely. For a human, that would make her white as snow. And the purple of her mask, would it not filter the red and blue light spectrum out? Her having purple skin never really occured to me. A slight tone, maybe. But all in all I see her as white as a goth loli.
