Another hint on some of the more...critical theories out there, that you do not see your LI, in my case Tali, but standardized Liara. A very, very rare, if not the only moment where your decisions do not change a cutscene with reminiscence. That alone made it...strange for me. As if it was hastily made, and not adjusted to the varieties like the rest. Not seeing Tali in the flashback made it also very stupid for me. Took me right out of the game. No way my Shepard would not see her - he'd even forget Anderson and Joker, Tali would probably the only thing on his mind.

Personally, would have preferred a the three shots to all be of Tali.  A pic/image from each game.
Only reason my Shepard went to hell was to save her, no one else mattered.

Exactly, your imagination mode should kick in there at the end. We all know Shepard is a BADASS, and ended up in Valhalla! And Odin has promised Shepard a reserved spot for Tali!

I had a similar experience while playing through the series, I made Liara my LI in ME1, and once I realized that Tali was romance-able in ME2 I dropped Liara like a sack of grain and latched onto Tali. Been happy ever since...

Yeah, first game Liara was my LI, too. That is, first playthrough. I didn't drop her, it was more like...she dropped me by being Shadow Broker and all. I'm a loyal kinda guy, if she had been around, switching to Tali would've been a much harder decision. The game made it easy for me.

Multae causae sunt bibendum. And the three colors of the ending are as good a reason as there ever will be. Still is a shame. What a great series. Not perfect, but would've been a huge step for the entire industry towards even greater series. And then...this.

I hear you, Brother! Was also mindeffed by that. We both know Tali is what really was on his mind, and now hes waiting in Valhalla for Tali to come and rejoin him!

I tried to resist her. I considered. Liara was my first, so I wanted her to be in the second, even though my eye had caught Tali, she seemed not available, and that is not interested. When she showed interest...not even Jack, who is about as rad a chick as there can be, and psychotic to the max, could deter me from Tali anymore. Although that was a close one. Jack gave Tali some competition. In the end, Tali bested her. And thus a Talimancer I was made.

Yeah, I'd agree, Liara's absense made that choice much easier, and by the time the third game arrived, I'd decided that it was Tali or bust, and gave Liara the cold shoulder and waited impatiently for the game to deliver Tali to me. She had such a wonderful entrance line- "By the way Shepard, still totally worth it." <3

How do most of you guys pronouce Tali's name?

Majority of the people in game seem to say "tal ee" but then Tali herself and a select few call her "tah lee". Me I prefer tah lee it just sounds better imo. But it's kinda weird that it isn't consistant. Even her father says it differently from her XD.

I always heard it as "Tal ee", and have pronounced it as such.

Coming back from release-date-hibernation/ lurking, and saying I am DISPLEASED with the ending is an understatement. Then to find all this new backlash with a certain photoshop image?

Holy crap, what the hell happened here?

I would also say Ta-lee. Tal - ee sounds a bit wierd.

Thats a really good point you bring up.
I say it as "ta lee".
One reason when Tali says her name it might sound like "tah lee" because of the reverb from her mask. I wonder what the correct way to say it is though...

Well regarding the picture, the problem most people have is that it's a photoshop of a stock photo. I have only one problem with the photo and it's that the fingers aren't done right. Other than that I love it. Also I'm hoping either for a new ending or the indoctrination thing. So long as the ending doesn't keep plot holes open and Tali gets a house on her homeworld, I'll be happy. :happy:

HAHA! I became a Talimancer for the same reason! I hated mirandas accent and i had no interest in jack (Funny thing is, my prefered haircut is the same as hers in ME2 and i play as a crazy vanguard). So i was looking for other options. Samara and Chambers was not technically available. When i found out Tali was a romance option i was like "wtf?........... YES!!! Ok ill go for her then". Then i was entangled in her web........ OF AWESOMENESS (Injects mead in the arms)

You type "IMG, link location,  /IMG" with the IMG's having [ ] around them and no commas or quotation marks.

I think how to post pictures of Tali is very on-topic. You go [ img ] (remove the spaces), then enter the source, for example the http:\\\\ where it is, and then go [ / img ], just like you would quote. It's always nice to mention who drew it, if it's deviantart or so.
