I doubt he would approve of Tali chosing ANY human to be her mate.
Quarians place a very high value on "doing your part for the continuation of the species"Posted Image

During the fleet era, he would want Tali to be a parent.
After the quarians [make peace with the geth]Posted Image, Rael would have wanted LOTS of grand children... something Shepard himself could never provide.Posted Image

Shepard could do his part for the Quarians by adopting some of the kids that are orphans from the war. He may not be able to have children with Tali, but he would still be helping the Quarian race by providing otherwise homeless children a caring and perfect environment.

Garrus is no match for Shepard and TaliPosted Image

Or, they could get someone to donate "genetic materials"... Vetor mabey?B)  Kal'Reger died on Palaven.

We acknowledge that the way Creator Kal'Reeger died was...awesome and sad to our circuitry.

We acknowledge his bad assery.

We acknowledge.  This platform...we never had the chance to meet any of the Creator Admirals.  We do know that they would probably accept Tali's choice, especially Admiral Raan.

Considering how Rael is described. I suspect he would not be happy with a human as her BF no matter who it is. He seemed kind of like a hardass.

Still, I kind of wish we got the chance to see how Rael would really feel about Shepard being with Tali.  Would be interesting.

Awkward dinnertime at the inlaws. 'Nuff said.

Lol you guys are weird for not wanting someone else's genes... I mean you'd be getting both different with adoption, how is having one of them a biological parent somehow worse?

I think Shepard/Tali would be honored to pass on Reegar's legacy. The hero of Haestrom must live on...

Imagine this...when Liara melded her mind with Shepard's, she was accidently impregnated due to the mental footprint he left in her mind.

She has little blue children, Liara begs Tali not to kill her with shotgun but rather asks her to adopt child, Tali, unwillingly, accepts.

There:  Tali and Shepard are happy, and Liaramancers get little blue children.  Are we happy?

No, probably not.

Well, if I were Shepard, I would at least offer Tali that option, as opposed to adopting a Quarian infant completley un related to them.  Not that that would be a problem.

Parents must remain equal, either both biological or both non-biological.
Having one biological and one not, may create some psychological issues for either/or both parents. Maybe even the child. Just look at how difficult step-children are sometimes.
Or not. Just my opinion, different for everyone else.

Well, I'm sure some illegal Sciencing here and there will find a way that beats both those options.

What? Laws? But we're not even in Council space!

My Shepard will not be paying the child support for that "gift". He was mindraped.

The idea of tali being inseminated by anyone other than shepard is quite repulsive to most talimancers, myself included. It pretty much comes down to unreasonable distress at the thought of sharing the most intimate part of your ficticious girlfriend with another person, even if it is just a genetic donation. This is getting dangerously close to NSFW.

The fact of the matter would be that it would be another man's child growing within your girl. An adopted child would have about an equal link between both parents, a sperm donor child would always be seen as the other guy's kid in the back of your mind. I just know that I would never want another man to father my wife's child in real life.

Now hypothetically if the pair was dead set on having children the old fashioned way, I'm sure something along the lines of a genetic creation in the likes of Miranda could be created. As in choosing analogous quarian traits that match up to those possessed by Shepard and make a quarian based off of Shepard. Or they could just adopt.

Asari are a special case though because while the genes are incorporated, they don't show in any way. The child is still asari, regardless of which species is the other parent. I dunno how else to explain that... :/

We are assuming a Shepard-quarian hybrid...

We can conclude he would be an untoppable force, with powerful legs, amazing upper body strength, and an undying will.

If Liara mind-raped me and produced a baby from the encounter, I wouldn't want anything to do with the kid and I would have a hard time being convinced not to murder Liara.

Asari aren't even related to the fathers anyhow, they are just mutated variations of their mothers.

I think if a man were willing to accept an adopted child as their own, they'd easier accept one that their wife had with him holding her hand and making sure she's ok the whole time. When a baby is born it becomes easier to forget formalities like whose genes they are. All people know after that is love for their child, and they are their child even if they don't have some of the same alleles.

I'm all for adoption in reality so I would say that adoption would be the best path for Shepard and Tali. They can adopt both human and quarian children if they wanted too.

Woah, I didn't mean as in letting him have sex with Tali.  Artificial insemination!  It's done all the time when a hopeful father is sterile.

You're coming at it from a female's perspective. Men are a jealous breed, we do not want to share our females. Allowing another man's seed into our spouses is something many men will naturally be oppossed to, it is in our genes to be competetive.

I believe that is what he was talking about.
