Combat: Like Deus Ex: a lot of choice in how you play. Three main approaches: soldier (combat, pure damage etc), tech (stealth, hacking, turrets etc) and biotics. So basically like in the ME trilogy but now more free form like in the Deus Ex games. In the trilogy in the end combat always plays like a linear shooter where a direct approach is the only option. In a sandbox ME for example, I would like pure stealth to be a viable option.
Progression: Level based but classless. Progression in the ME universe should also be about rising in the ranks of corporations/military/shadow-broker. Also earning money and buying real estate, mining planets, getting better ships etc.
Joinable factions: Alliance Navy, the Shadow Broker's organization, some sort of corporation, bounty hunter organization etc. Story for these factions should be between 10-15 hours each.
Main Story: I like a good main story but this game should be all about the world and exploration so a main story of 15 hours is fine.
Exploration: Big open worlds, big cities with side quests and opportunities all around, cruising the galaxy with your ship looking for mining opportunities and random side quests.
This kind of game would be ideal for me. I love the TES series but like the universe and style of ME much more than the TES universe.
Another way to describe this would be to just say: like 'TES in space'. Would you like a game like this? Do you think it could work?
