That's true. Feron isn't green, and why would the shadow broker have Thane?

Exactly.

JECWSU wrote...
I think it probably was the clothing since Feron doesn't wear that outfit in the comic. Feron from the comic book also looks a bit older. In LotSB he looks closer to Kolyat's age.

I liked Feron from the comic. He was older, snarky and double crossing. He seemed like a Han Soloesque kind of character. Feron from LotSB seemed like a lost boy or a boy who was caught with his hand in the cookie jar. I also think that BW made him younger in LotSB so that he can be disarming. I see Feron as having a further role in ME3. I think he will double cross Liara but that's just speculation on my part.

That's a good description of Feron.

I felt a bit sorry for Feron in LotSB. I would hate to have him double cross her, because I actually liked him. I guess maybe if Liara leaves him in charge while she goes of with Shepard the power could go to his head, but I hope not.

I liked him as well it's just, the whole memory thing made me suspicious. I didnt trust him. Also he double crossed Liara in the comics I think he could very well do it again.

I hope I am wrong. He was a cutie. ;)

I hear that games are always incredibly expensive in Australia as well. I thought inflation over in England was bad, but when I see how much a game costs in Australia, I wince for you all.

I had read the comic books before hand, I still thought it was Thane. Feron looks almost human in the comics, he looks A LOT better in game. Such a poor tragic figure <3

Seems that all drell are tragic figures actually. All three we know of are, and then of course we know how Rakhana went under... :(

Oh......
My......
Gosh...
ITS A THANE COOKIE!:o
*nomnom*<3
Good cookie Tasha!

For some reason, the comics never...caught my interests..I'd read maybe..2-3 pages..stop. Never pick it up unless I felt like reading something that day. Feron does look good in the comics and the game, I perfer game characters instead of comic/book characters though :police:

It is sad on how Rakhana went down. That was really terrible, even for a game. It made my heart clench. And games don't usually do that too me. ( Well besides when I'm trolling around on youtube and see "Thane death videos" and such) :crying:..

Wow, it feels like ages since i've last been here. Fun fact: wisdom teeth can decide to be jerks and only show themselves when you're nearing 30. AND I can only get the problem one removed in about three weeks. On top of that I think i have a sinus infection. Good times. Also, Dark Souls is taking up all of my free time. And some of my sleep time.

I'm not a comic reader either, aside from when I was about 5 and had a weird crush on Hawkman. Image IPB

I ended up picking up the first ME comic series for a buck an issue at the local nerd store here, and wouldn't have bought it otherwise. haven't got any of the later ones simply because I just don't do the whole comic thing.

I like books, though, and bought all three. They were good, but not anything to go back and reread until the pages fall out.

Glad that you liked it! :)

And Rakhana is even more tragic because, as I have said before, it could happen to humanity unfortunately. Does anyone have a copy of that Mass Effect 3 screenshot that has Thane in? I remember he was sort of in the distance, pointing a gun to the side, and still in his ME2 leathers (for now.)

@Tasha I think that was just supposed to be "MP Drell Character", but it did indeed look exactly like Thane. I think Lucky Thirteen posted the pic here a few pages ago.

It's not "Thane", by the way. This is a screenshot from the multiplayer apparently, so that will be one of the customisable drell you can play as.

We could pretend it is him.

I wish we had some news on him. So far nothing except for that one mission.

Yeah it really stinks that we can't get any more information on Thane. :crying:
Maybe because he was the most voted LI (on a site I go on they had a poll on who was your fav LI), there just holding information back because he was really big? Or sadly, he's just going to have a small role so they don't feel the need to release anymore information about him. I wonder what goes through there heads about Thane.

I wonder what Bioware thinks of Thane also. It feels like they only care about some characters, and not others. I'm starting to think that they haven't released any information, because there isn't any.Image IPB

A MP Drell who happens to look like Thane.  When I that screenshot I thought it was Thane too, but then I noticed the salarian character and knew it was multiplayer.  I want to think someone is either a Thane fan as well, or did that on purpose...

Developer favoritism can be a problem, but I try not to worry about it.  That magazine leak was probably as good as we're going to get for a while.  I can't wait for more character screens to come out.  I want to see what a redesigned Thane looks like.  Hopefully he looks even cooler than he did in ME2.Image IPB

I try not to worry about favoritism either, but can be hard.

Normally I wouldn't worry about the lack of information, but I'm starting to wonder if the information we have is all that there is.

Nah, I don't think so.  That would basically bench Thane, and I doubt BioWare would do that.  I don't think we've heard anything about how his romance will play out, if one was carried over, outside of "it will be resolved".  On top of that there's the whole "cheating" business and his overall role in ME3.

I don't know. It just seems like the ME2 squad is being forgotten.

I hope you're right.

I hope that isn't the case... although I really am feeling it. So much of ME2 was... well, mishandled, I wouldn't be surprised if they spent most of Mass Effect 3 pretending that ME2 really didn't happen. Same goes for ME1 even though it was great. Who in their right mind thinks you can have a trilogy and claim that, "If you haven't played Mass Effect before, Mass Effect 3 is a great place to start"?

I have a loyal Kaidan and a loyal Liara Shepard, but if I'm stuck with them and this random new guy Vega all the time... I liked Mass Effect 1 far more in most areas but ME2's characters really got me through ME2. If they're going to wave and pretend we didn't spend all that time together, if my ME2 squard is to walk up to me like Shiala (like every other character that appeared in ME2 from ME1 and go ) "Hello Shepard. I suppose you don't remember me. I helped you fight the collectors and you helped me reconnect with my son," I will go insane.

@Asenza I'm sure your fears will not be realized. It would be madness on the part of BW if they completely sidelined any of the characters (especially LIs) from ME2. Fans expect an awesome conclusion to the trilogy, having all the ME2 characters relegated to cameos that do not reflect the choices of the player would be massively disappointing to many fans. It was only bearable in ME2 (Horizon) because we knew that it could be remedied in ME3 and I'm sure BW know this. :)

I completely agree.  Why did they even bother giving us a new squad if all they were going to do was give us the old one back. They have to know that there are people that love the ME2 squad also. We worked so hard doing their loyalty missions, and gettting to know them. I would hate to see that just thrown away.

Well what happens if they are benching Thane? People now are talking about Kaidan/Ashley and Vega. They really aren't talking about Me2 characters besides Tali and Garrus.  :crying:...

True, the ME3 boards have been far more focussed on all the human characters. Whereas with ME2, there was a lot more about the alien squaddies. Perhaps because it seems the first part of ME3 will be on Earth, and feature the humans more. I hope that all the aliens will still play a prominant role though.

I mean, it seems that, throught Thane, we will be getting the aid of the Hanar. And as I have said before, there is a lot more info about Thane than there is about some of the other ME2 characters. Not even Miranda has as much info as we do.

Yeah, the Thane/Invictus thing makes me happy, 'cause I'm still waiting for things about Samara and Jack...

Anyone else really take a liking to the poem Invictus? i'd never read it before, and I really fell for it!

The Invictus thing still worries me, because it could be all we see of Thane. We don't have any information on it at all. It could be one of the shortest missions in the game. Then there is the rest of the ME2 crew. Bioware hasn't said one word about them. It's just starting to feel more and more like they have forgotten about them.  Do they really think people will be happy if these characters get sidlined?

what Invictus thing? You mean the poem by William Ernest Henley?
