True, the ME3 boards have been far more focussed on all the human characters. Whereas with ME2, there was a lot more about the alien squaddies. Perhaps because it seems the first part of ME3 will be on Earth, and feature the humans more. I hope that all the aliens will still play a prominant role though.

I mean, it seems that, throught Thane, we will be getting the aid of the Hanar. And as I have said before, there is a lot more info about Thane than there is about some of the other ME2 characters. Not even Miranda has as much info as we do.

Yeah, the Thane/Invictus thing makes me happy, 'cause I'm still waiting for things about Samara and Jack...

Anyone else really take a liking to the poem Invictus? i'd never read it before, and I really fell for it!

The Invictus thing still worries me, because it could be all we see of Thane. We don't have any information on it at all. It could be one of the shortest missions in the game. Then there is the rest of the ME2 crew. Bioware hasn't said one word about them. It's just starting to feel more and more like they have forgotten about them.  Do they really think people will be happy if these characters get sidlined?

I'm still worried about it to. I really do have the terrible feeling that our ME2 squadmates are getting the boot, so to speak. Granted, we have previously established that I am a pessimist, but the lack of info is just concerning. Bioware could be delibrately misleading us. I hope they are delibrately misleading us. We've always established that a lot of people will be very, very, VERY upset at the mishandling of the former squadmates, and especially the LI's, and that would definitely have a serious fiscal backlash once word got out. I guess we just have to hope that they are smarter than that.

I mean seriously, Thane declared his love for our FemShep at the end there. It does not make sense for him to just up and leave at the end of that, never to be heard from again, or only heard from on occassion in passing. Such an action would completely ..... with his character arc (sorry just remembered forum rules there) and cause his story to lose all cohesion. It would completely ruin our suspension of disbelief and for any entertainment medium a loss of immersion is a VERY BAD THING! ESPECIALLY in this one!

Thought you guise might enjoy this. And I quote;

' "Perhaps you should convince him to observe another target," the gravelly-voiced drell replied. "Draw his attention with something more interesting. Just like the creature you call a kitten." His head rose, and he began blinking rapidly. "Afternoon. Kitten lying on the carpet. I dangle a sock in front of him. 'Kitty, kitty'. I say. The kitten claws at the sock. I throw it on him and move away while it is blinded. I do not play with the kitten all day. I have better things to shoot." '

The Xbox World magazine where that info was supposed to come from is only about the multiplayer and doesn't mention Thane at all.

Xbox World, but there's nothing about Thane in the ME3 article. I'm thinking we've been punk'd

So was the information about  Invictus even real, or just made up? Maybe they got the magazine wrong.

OXM (official xbox magazine?) according to Cheez on page 73 of this thread.

It's not surprising that it wouldn't turn up. BioWare has been doing a lot to keep a lid on spoilers so I expect any information they don't want revealed is going to get pulled really fast. That information was supposed to be a leak and since BioWare hasn't said anything, it's still rumor at best.

So Invictus could be just a rumor? This may not be how we see Thane at all in ME3.

If this really is nothing more than a rumor than we don't have any information on Thane.

Most sites that quote the leaked info say it came from the other magazine, though. Thane wasn't mentioned in the OXM article either... :/

It probably ISN'T a rumor. They just don't want us to know just yet.

Where exactly did this information come from, and how do we know it is legitimate?

If it's not in the actual OXM article, then my only guess is it's an inside source from the same magazine. What I'm trying to say is it hardly sounds like a rumor. Rumors tend to be easy to identify and, frankly, this just doesn't sound like one at all.

The simple fact of the matter is we aren't meant to know such things yet. Hence, we can't get a confirmation because there isn't one.

True. It doesn't really sound like a rumor, but that doesn't mean it's not a rumor. At this point I have no idea anymore.

You're right, it doesn't, however what was revealed is still uncertain.

So we are still back to no information on anyone from the ME2 squad.

Looks that way. We'll find out when they want us to find out, I suppose.

Wait, weren't Tali and Garrus confirmed as squadmembers or something?

I believe that they were confirmed as squadmembers. I did notice that there hasn't been much information on Tali.

They have been confirmed as squaddies, but none of them are permanent. Everything is temporary in the ME3 world according to Casey Hudson. Most of the info has been concerning VS, Liara, Ashely and Garrus, with very little about the exclusive ME2 squaddies.

...so it seems it's back to square one regarding Thane. Glorious.

Did anyone here have a gander at the leaked beta? I really didn't want to, but, my willpower being what it is, I quickly caved and hunted it down. Looks goooooood... I managed to cut myself off at part 1, and was immensely proud of that.

Then I watched about 20 minutes of multiplayer. Looks fun, but like most of us here, I won't touch it until I finish single player.

Urgh. March. Stupid November! Why aren't you March?!

We pretty  much are back to no real information on Thane.

I saw some of the leaked beta, and it looked really good. I didnt' see multilayer yet so I can't answer that.

I'm tired of waiting. March can't come soon enough for me.
