But I wouldn't worry, no one knows whether or not it will all be in the final game so it's not like people know all of the secrets!

Yes, right now the Devs are in a catch 22 situation. They can only deny things vaguely and get grief for it or, in the alternative, really spoil the story.

Up to this point any information about Thane is questionable and not worth trusting or raging about.  Let's keep supporting a choice for Thane guys, he's still in the game!

I feel so sorry for the developers.  This is all a huge mess, and it's all over the internet.  The best thing we can probably do now is not talk about it and not spread it around.

Could I just ask that news about the leak be kept out of the Thane thread please? I know this is a Spoilers Allowed thread, but I didn't quite anticipate this .

From the people posting in here, I get the general impression that people don't want to read the leak, and that they don't want the news on this thread. I have also heard that those who do give info on the leak suffer the might of the Bioware Banhammer!

As a writer, I know that the first draft is always vastly different to the final piece. So please don't take the leak at it's word, it is only a rough version, and will likely be changed several times before it comes out in game.

So after all that. Have a Thane!

Thane being romanceable in ME3 is the only reason I would not romance Thane in ME2! My Garrus FemShep is still hanging out in front of Life Support undecided on what do.

I like the idea of having some time for the relationship to grow.

I would think that there are a couple of new romances in ME3 but as far as old LIs go, I imagine the only way you can romance them is through a continuation from the previous games.
However, we have been told that you will be able to make decisions regarding some choices from the previous games if you start a new game and don't import in ME3 (like Genesis for ME2 only it may not be a comic this time). So you can probably choose to romance Thane even without playing ME2.
In my personal opinion though, I can't see much possibility for being able to start a new romance with Thane in ME3 if you import.

You never know.  They might find the time.  Thane would have no reason to dislike Shepard if he/she successfully completed his loyalty mission in ME2.  Perhaps the Shepards who rejected Thane in his final romance scene in ME2 could get another chance at him in ME3.

Yes, My Garrus FemShep is still undecided too. She keeps hoping back and forth between them.

I definitely want the relationship to develop a bit more. Of course that would mean that he would need to be in more than just the Invictus mission. I know what I want to happen, and I will be writing my own Fanfic as soon as I put down the pencil I was inspired to pick up again after 6 years and stop working on my Thane fanart.

I think I heard somewhere that there would be no new romance options in ME3, but if I did that would have been so long ago, half buried in memories of lasagne, dance classes, and cittering voices running around inside my head like squirrels on caffine drips without saying anything intelligible. I couldn't quote a source if you asked. It would have just been one of those random things I picked up.

But you know what else I would like to see. FemShep falling pregnant at the end of ths mission. I mean, the character (or at least mine) has been very promiscuous these last two games and the whole "actions have consequences" thing is sounding rather off if that big consequence is left out of her story. Or Shepard's getting his female partner pregnant. Seems a bit of an oversight. Unless Cerberus made them infertile when they brought her/him back.

That little thought was inspired by this fanfic I read where Shepard's cybernetics cause her body to adapt and she falls pregnant to Garrus.

Don't worry, I only meant spoilers from the leak. This is a spoilers allowed forum after all, but not ones that Bioware didn't intend to hit the forums. I think originally Casey said there will be no new romance options, but I think that has been retracted now. Either that or NPCs in ME2 (or ME1) become romanceable due to popular demand.

Personally, I don't think it would be possible for Shepard to become pregnant via an alien.

Well, she does romance Jacob too, you know! Besides, I think Mordin would be able to do something about that, lol.

I was going to mention Kaidan, as well, but I doubt that, even if the featus remained, Cerberus would have allowed her to continue the pregnancy.

PS It was a vegetarian lasagne. My own receipe. Which as of last year went global. Really. PM me if you want it. It's really GOOD! Involved, but SOOO worth the effort.

One thing I will say though, next time you have any sort of pasta, don't use salt or pepper. Drizzle it with lemon juice. It brings out all the flavours and is just so much healthier. Well, unless your allergic to citris, in which case we REALLY need Mordin.

Edit: That pin-up is about to become my new wallpaper.

Their DNA is entirely different. We are more closely related to a tree than we are to an alien!
