I must be in the minority as I didn't terribly mind the Mako (I realize it has its fans) OR planet scanning. (which doesn't.)
I also plan to have a ME marathon around the end of February, and to bring that Shepard into ME3 first, so all decisions will be fresh in my mind.

...Great googly moogly. I'm 100% indifferent to Kaidan, but that.... wow. Amazing how something as simple as sound can make things about a billion times better.

So that would mean the LOTSB letter would cause mass swooning and squeeing. Bring it on.

The mako wouldn't have been so bad if the planets were more interesting. They had nothing. It was like driving in the middle of nowhere. Planet scanning wasn't fun, but it didn't really bother me. I can't do anymore ME1 playthroughs, because I'm a little tired of it. I have about 2 more ME2 playthroughs and all the ME2 dlc t finish before ME3 comes out.

If we could get the LotSB letter read to us it would make my year.

Ok slightly off topic - I just listened to Kaidan's letter - good god. My head almost exploded it was so incredible.
If Keythe did this, I may be incapacitated for days. Weeks even. Perhaps until March??
And it almost makes me want to fire up ME1 (in SPITE of the Mako) and romance Kaidan to carry through. Although I'm thinking when I hit ME2 I won't be able to resist Mr. Krios....

...anyway, I can safely say that if that audio had've been in-game, I would have at least one less ThaneShep. At least. Up until now, I'd never felt bad about dumping Kaidan for various reptilian aliens. Now, there's a pang of regret. Reading the e-mail in ME2 did nothing for me, I just pretty much said , "feh, whatever," Hearing the e-mail...

I'm just in awe of Mr. Sbarge's talent. And how awesome it is that he did this.

No. Not me, anyway. But going back and playing through ME2 with a loyal Kaidan save has now gone from "when hell freezes over" to "next weekend."

I thought most had one loyal playthrough. I know I do, and that was before I heard the letter.

I was just wondering, because it was starting to sound like it.

I don't have a loyal playthrough for Kaidan. I love the guy as a character, and I think he is attractive, but he just isn't what I like for a LI.

I do however have a completely single playthrough (that was REALLY hard to do) for Joker if he is an option. And I really hope he is.

Although Thane features in more playthroughs than any other. Then Garrus. Then one for Tali and one for Jack.

I have Thane romanced on all of my four FemShep playthrough's, one of which I didn't have to "cheat" on since there wasn't an ME1 love interest.

It really is very bittersweet, and so Thane. The person who wrote it really did a good job with help from his girlfriend. I think I might cry if we get to hear Keythe read it.

My MainShep never romanced anyone in the first game so Thane is her only romance My other FemShep romanced no one in either game and my MShep has only romanced Ashley (so far... >.>).
So I've never romanced Kaidan. But I have a friend who romanced him so I've heard all about it, of course XD
I agree, the email sounds so much more genuine being spoken than being written. Just hearing the emotion in his voice does that. It's awesome!

Nothing so far suggests that either of them are a romance options. Could be both. Could be neither!
I wouldn't get your hopes up for them Keep an open mind. I'm sure there will be other great options if those are unavailable!

I've only got one Shep loyal to Kaidan, and one who's single, the rest are with Thane (If I played Manshep I'd go with Jack).
After a rushed playthrough I decided I liked Marina Shepard enough to make her my canon so I'm replaying ME1 completing all side quests etc and not romancing Kaidan... After hearing R Sbarge reading the email it was was really difficult to shut the relationship down (yes, Marina had led him on). I managed it but only just .

There's no way I could ever have my Sheps break up with Thane to be with Kaidan.

If I heard Keythe read that letter... I think I'd faint

Not me..While I must admit that Sbarge is great VA, and it was really "emotional" to hear " About Horizon" message. I think it will just make possible for me to forgive Kaidan his behaviour on Horizon, but it don't mean I will leave Thane, or will change my mind about broke up with Kaidan in ME3 with my only " loyal" Shepard.

When I read it while playing LotSB, that was the moment I cried. I still rememeber sitting, reading the letter, holding my xbox controller and crying. My husband came in, saw me and freaked. LOL

It was very unexpected but so, good, right, wonderful, amazing. I remember writing on the old thread, HE LOVES HER!!!!! Yeah. That's me.

I had almost the exact experience - except thankfully I was a little "composed" when he came in as I could hear him coming.  He knows I'm a freak when it comes to my LIs though   

As for Kaidan, I did romance him in ME1, but got a new console and never bothered importing the saves as the romance never felt "right" - I think my Shep was out for some booty really.  So my Sheps haven't cheated on anyone!!  All but one are reserved for Thane (and it was a renegade PT with Garrus - My Shep was just in a f**k the galaxy kind of place )
