Keythe Farley reading Thane's letter would be awesome! You guys are genius for asking him and he's amazing for responding so favourably. I had never heard his voice before outside of his role as Thane and I squeed over how wonderfully similar it is.

I didn't think I'd like Thane when I was first looked into his character. I figured he'd be cold and arrogant and, to be honest, I've never been a fan of how Drell look. (I really hope I don't offend anyone by saying that, it's just a silly personal preference that I've learned to overlook.) But then I actually played ME2 and began talking to him and his personality sucked me in and I just had to have a Shepard romance him. His romance was so sweet and I can't wait to see where it goes in ME3.

Edit: Oh snap, I see TOP is normal in this thread. Let me go try to fetch something.

Me, he interested me the moment I saw him.

As far as I remember, you have to talk to him first in life support and have the conversation about the collector's base.
Then go up to your quarters and next to your terminal should appear a new active zone to call him up.

I've asked this before in other places and was always told it was PC specific!  AND I even scoured the internet and couldn't find a great reply!
Just fired up my 360 and yay!  Cuddly time with Mr. Krios!!!  Made my whole morning!

Must be only PC and Xbox then. I tried this last night (ie 3am this morning) and it didn't work. BW must have forgotten to do this for the PS3.

It must be in the PS3 version too. I can't imagine they would cut it
At the start of this video, it demonstrates where you need to be in order to use the intercom.
Maybe you just weren't in the right place? Have you completed the Suicide mission and talked to Thane afterwards yet?

It doesn't sound corny because I felt the same way. Before I even played the game I was interested in him, and I really didn't know anything about him at the time.

That would be cool. But let's not forget Jacob. For some reason I've always viewed Jacob as a Latin dancer. No canon, in game reason. He just looks to be the type who would realise women generally love a man who can dance and would have taken advantage of it. In his younger days.

But that's probably just my fantasies talking. Don't mind me.

I happily hold no Jacob fantasies. I do imagine Thane grabbing up some Femshep and slow dancing with her. I am so mad... I don't know what I did, I only hugged sad Liara and then she kissed me... Then her little snipe about me trying to take the place of a dying mans wife... and he was standing right there. Shep was very "You moved on to your Drell Liara, and I have moved on with mine... back off."

I think Thane would be great dancer. In the game Shepard is a terrible dancer, but in my head my Shepards dance better than that.

I hate Liara's comment about Thane. She just sounds bitter, and mean.

Me too.  Jacob just irritates me.

Maybe they dance like this??  One of my faves!

It's snowing! *sob* I hate winter.

I bet Thane would hate this weather. PLaying through a Garrus romance right now, resisting Thane is... difficult to do. Watched the Jacob romance on youtube and I finally understand the "but the priiize" joke that pops up all the time. I don't care that Jacob is the only human male, how anyone can take that romance scene seriously is beyond me. Bahahahaha. No worries Thane, you only have to worry about losing out to Garrus fo my FemSheps. They'll still check on you first though.

*is frozen* going back to warm bed.

P.S.

I also want to see him cured, I got my fill of trauma in DA (where bioware kills family members like Shep drives... anything. Recklessly.) and in seeing Thane die accidently in my second SM plzthnx. (still haven't forgiven Miranda. I restarted the playthrough but you can't un-see stuff like that.) If you have a heartstring quota you have to flll Bioware lets put poor Thane through more, have him cured and the Shep can die. That would freaking suck.

I am grinning right now but only because it's my default expression when overy taxed with the emotions. I am tearing up. Sweet heavens, I couldn't bear watching him die.
