Ok I'm with Flesh on this one too...tearing up reading them and I couldn't bear it.  I'd rage on the ENTIRE galaxy - the reapers would be NOTHING compared to my heartbroken Shep's wrath....

And Mei - we had that Pablo poem read at our wedding - my hubby has part of it inscribed on his wedding band in ASCII binary.

My Shepard only romanced Thane. He didn't  fear his death untill she came along and he fell in love again. The best female Shepard romance scene for me. This is the classic.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Jacob I personally found him closed-off and unapproachable, which did very little to pique my interest. Bottom line, he's a bit boring.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Garrus became a favorite romantic pursuit for many Mass Effect players, female and male. And yet...his physical compatibility with human Shepard is easily the most unnatural.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Romance in Mass Effect is more than just sex. It is a player choice that can add an interesting level of depth to an already phenomenal game.

I am kinda proud of the alien love interest fanbases. I mean how far removed do you have to be from liking someone for their looks to look at Garrus/Thane/Liara/ even Tali and say yah, I'd tap that. There sex appeal is almost completely personality. Well maybe not Liara since thay are supposed to be th hotties of the verse, but I don't find her attractive, my shep will still romance her in ME1 Cause she is adorable. (as far as the comic goes. )

And I suppose I am proud of the Human LI fanbases too, I mean look at the personality defects that have to be overcome there. (I joke, I joke! Don't stab me )

Sorry, just checking to see why only some of my swears were being edited. Possibly others just self edit. I can't be bothered, I have language issues that would make Isabela blush.

I have to say my sheps love Thane, he is just so... yumm. But if I met a guy today, who lokked that much like a lizard I wouldn't get the chance to find out how sexy his voice is, it would be all : "ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Aliennnn!" *runs away*

Also, I was part of the bunch who were interested in Thane right in the beginning. Mainly because he is an assassin. And boy do I like assassins... Ezio, Altair, Ashe, Zevran, Deadpool (what? I like crazy .) As for aliens if they landed on Earth, my first reaction wouldn't be 'KILL THEM BEFORE THEY KILL US' as I believe many people will react . But I am quite happy with my human boyfriend .

I know Thane's an alien, but I never really thought of him as such.  Thane is Thane, and boy does he just ooze sex.

The artists designing his character had a really tough time designing him; I think I've seen more concept art of him than any other character (even Jack); the designers would "test" out Thane by showing him to the women who worked in Bioware, who would then give feedback.  The current Thane we have is the design that most women not only found attractive, but thought was interesting.  He also had two "earrings" where an ear would be, but the team forgot to put that in the game.  

Drell facial features are very close to a human's, and their large eyes are very emotional as well (large eyes are typically attractive to women anyway).  I think the voice adds a lot too.

To be honest, I was going to romance Garrus in ME2, but Thane's entrance was just so awesome and he was so attractive that poor Garrus was kind of swept for my secondary Shepard.   That's just me though.

I also "married" an Argonian in Skyrim because he reminded me of Thane:wub:

Well, if I count seeing as my canon LI is not Thane but I do have a Shepard who ended up head over heels for him and won't go for anyone else come ME3 no matter what, than I have to warily admit that Thane's looks still hasn't grown on me. I personally find drell to look kind of creepy, my love for Thane comes completely from his personality... and the voice helps, too. Even Kolyat and Feron I find kind of creepy looking but I like them as characters as well. I just ignore the aesthetics.

Ah, yes. When I found this the squee I let out was of opic proportions. It's STILLmy favourite fanart, even though I as a Dancesport Competitor I know everything little thing that is wrong with it.


Thos of you wo were here about 30 pages ago will likely remember the LOOOOOOOOOONG list I posted about what exactly was wrong with this picture. All of which go to show that SHEPARD IS NO DANCER!!!

But Thane? I dreamed about this after I saw it. It was wonderful! (I am so pathetic.)
