As for seeing Irikah, I doubt we will. But if we did, I imagine it will be from Kolyat's memory/perspective and not Thane's.

That makes sense. Thane spent a great deal of time with his memories of Irikah, and somehow I think (or at least hope) that we will be seeing Kolyat again in ME3, probably on that Invictus mission in some sense. I also think that we would only see Kolyat's memories of his mother if he finds ou about Thane and Shepard. Kind of along the lines of that 'you're not my real mum" reaction option we discussed about 40 page back or so.

And on that note I'm finally looking for a beta for my fanfic about this very issue that I've been writing the last month or so (just haven't had time to write of late, dammit), so if anyone knows a good one, please let me know. my mind is taking me places I probably shouldn't have gone, and I need help being reigned in a bit.

For me, I don't want Shepard and Kolyat to have a, "You're not my real mom!" conversation. Kolyat's an adult now! Who his mostly-estranged, recently reunited father decides to have a relationship with, ten years after Irikah's death, has nothing to do with him.

I think Kolyat will make an appearance, but I can't see him fighting alongside Shepard. I think it is more likely we will see him at the Citadel doing his community service (as you said earlier one time myth,) while Thane and Shepard clear out Cerberus baddies from Kahje. After all, Thane seems very focussed on dissuading Kolyat from seeing or being a part of any more violence.

Kolyat's issues should be with Thane, not shepard. I can see him being upset if he sees his father being there for Shepard, and doing anything to protect her when he couldn't do those things for his mother.

I don't want it either. I just said it could happen. For my part though, I think that his time with C-Sec would have matured him a lot, to the point that when he does find out, he will at the very least be civil, even if he doesn't like it. Though if Shepard took the renegade option and shot him some subconscious passive-agressive action on his part would be unsurprising.

I don't think Thane would be very successful keeping Kolyat away from violence. I mean, he is working for C-Sec now. He's gonna see some bad stuff in line with his job, after all. Especially if he ends up working for them after the community service. That would be nice to see turn canon. Kolyat becoming a C-Sec officer after his community service. That would be good.

I just been lurking for being too lazy to login, also to the fact that I keep forgetting my password. XDDD I need to get better memory.

Don't be embarrassed and I'm glad to see some new posters here in the Thane thread. Yay!

I really need to replay my paragon-neutral shepard. She is my main one(I lover her so much because I based her off one of my heros. She is strong with a moral code, but her berserk button seems to be when innocents get hurt. Yeah, she really gets mean with the mercaneries in Miranda's LM and when Thane's son was about to make a big mistake, she really nailed that politican or whoever he was) and the one who romanced Thane. I really need to play her again. It's been awhile since I have because I played a fiery redhead and a renegade shep who is just a cold-hearted, manipulative woman and can really give Miranda a run for her money. They both romance Garrus. I really need to finish their playthrough too.


Kolyat should appear in ME3, so we can see how he is doing. Why do I see him acting awkwardly towards Shepard? XDDD I just can him doing that.

Who did you base your Shepard from then? I based one of my Thane-mancer Shepards of Aaron from Farscape. She is such a kickass lady. And attractive too.

I love how much you can customise the Shepards. It really allows you too be able to pick and choose how they will best suit the respective LI's.

I don't forget old posters SweetGirl, unless they change avatars and sigs anyway xD

I based her off of...well actually, I based off of two heroes...Optimus Prime and a slight of Optimus Primal. Yes, I based her off of sentient metallic beings. XD The cartoon series, not the movies.

I wrote a whole paragraph on this post, but my internet wacked and I lost it all. Dang it >.<

In summary of what I was going to say, she is stoic, calm, and collected on the battlefield and talking to bad guys and passes herself as a pacifist commander. Towards her companions and comrades, she acts like a pillar of strength for all of them when they need it and will gladly socializing with them. 

I put her with Thane because I felt this character will greatly respect him and want to give him something to live for like his relationship with his son. She fell in love with him because of who he is.

Optimus Prime has a voice that you instantly admire. I happen to be a fan of the cartoon series of Transformers as well. Bumblebee and Hot Rod were awesome And the Movie, it was just so epic!!! Then the modern adaptations ruined it

Good choice to base your femshep on. And I think Thane will admire someone who is stoic and calm on the battlefield. It is certain very similar to his own attitude when in battle.

Lets keep going with this. Everyone start posting a line about what they like of Thane's romance.

He's mature and experienced, so there's none of that "You're my first anything ever" aspect to the relationship.

I really like that he seems more mature and is also very considerate and respectful. I think Thane calling shepard 'siha' adds more depth and intimacy to the romance.
The first time I got the siha line Thane romance became canon.

What's not to love? He's sincere, honest and definitely seems to speak his mind around Shepard. Especially when they first meet in Dantius Towers. Just so well written!!

And wow, I tried to start/finish my Christmas shopping and I missed 4 pages!!! It's so great to see all the Thane love!!

When I first met him, I totally just found him cool. At first, I thought he will be a guy can't trust since he was an assassin, but when I got to know him, he was such a complex character.

Also, the fact that this assassin loves to cuddle...Eeeeeeeee XDD

Another thing I like about the romance scene is that it isn't based on sex (well, maybe a little.) But as they are alien to each other, they may not be typically attractive to one another. Even when he come up for the final romance scene, he wasn't there with the intention to get into bed with her (like most of the other LIs.) He was there because he was confused, and needed someone to talk to. Shepard just helped him out in a way that didn't involve talking.

I really liked that aspect of their relationship. I felt that the attraction was there, with that pre-romance line, "A start? That's... intriguing" and I was glad that the rest of the relationship conversations and the final romance scene didn't revolve almost completely around: how-to-should we-let me do some research-your legs bend that way?-well, here goes...
