The romance just takes things one step further, now he no longer needs to be alone. And he never takes that for granted.

I bet very few people here have done it, but Thane is staggeringly heartbreaking if you fail his loyalty mission. One of the best VA'd lines is when he tells Shep that everything in his life is gone and he has nothing to live for. Brought a lump to my throat.

Another thing I like about the romance scene is that it isn't based on sex (well, maybe a little.) But as they are alien to each other, they may not be typically attractive to one another. Even when he come up for the final romance scene, he wasn't there with the intention to get into bed with her (like most of the other LIs.) He was there because he was confused, and needed someone to talk to. Shepard just helped him out in a way that didn't involve talking.

Thane wasn't expecting what Shepard gave him.  However, Thane didn't object soo..

Everything people have previously posted is true.  Thane is a well done love interest.

One of the things that struck me was how mature he was about romance.  I loved that Thane wasn't one of those people in fiction who can't let go of their previous relationships/lovers.  Thane loved Irikah and that won't change, however, he's currently in love with Shepard and makes that clear if you bring it up.

I think what Liara says if you cheat on her with Thane kind of represents what some people might think of the relationship between Thane and Shepard.  Replacing a man's dead wife.  It crossed my mind before, but when I saw the video where Thane denies this I felt bad.  I had assumed something about Thane's feelings that wasn't true, but I was also happy to learn that I was wrong.  It felt good to know that Thane had moved on, and that he was mature enough to not let his past feelings interfere with his current relationship.  At the same time Thane remains steadfast in his love for Irikah and even talks about her. 

He loves both Irikah and Shepard.  That's just...so touching to me.

Just checked the last few pages didn't see anything so is there any word on Thane's VA reading the letter? I feel like I should know his name I'm a bad fangirl!

I know it's not a romance line but I like it when he tell's Mouse that he can change his pants later.
Lol. It shows that Thane has a sense of humor and that understands his fear.

He hardly needs the voice effect... the first time I heard him speak as not-Thane I was like, O_O!! I knew it was him immediately, which is awesome- I didn't think people could sound like that, and I'm not usually one for recognizing VA's in different works, even when fangirling over them as much as I have Thane.

I haven't done it myself, but I've also seen it done on youtube. It is one of the saddest scenes. He has just completely given up on life at that point, and pretty much sounds suicidal.

I totally recognized his voice as well - he definitely just sounds like Thane, which is nice - what a great voice to have!!
I also always recognize Gideon Emery - his actual voice is SO close to Fenris's that I never mistake him.  In Skyrim every time I find an Imperial Soldier I purposely try to talk to him just to hear Fenris!!
