Just posted Asenza. I simply don't understand why people can only think of their opinions, and therefore their opinions should be compulsory. I have tried to be open minded, but you can only meet them half way. We are willing that it could be a choice, but some people still believe that his death needs to be compulsory because that is their opinion of how it should be.

Anyways, as for Katy Perry's ET, that is already a music video for Thane. And one of our favourite here on this thread Image IPB. Here it is Drell Warrioress.

I liked that video. Although, I saw the "Fixed" version of it a few weeks ago I think. Still great! Image IPB

Also, anyone seen this on dA? http://fire-warriore...set=48#/d32289q

Sorry, don't know how to put actual pictures in comments. Help, please?

I don't even bother with them, because they are not going to change their minds. A lot of them don't even seem to realy like Thane. I don't think any of them really talked to him, and if they did they were not paying attention. I have to wonder if any of them even his romance. They just keep saying the same thing over and over. Thane must die. Thane has to die. It will ruin his character if he lives. Bad writing is the only thing that will ruin his character.

They don't even want to hear about an option to let him live. What I'm wondering is why they care if he lives or dies. If they want him to die then the suicide mission will take care of that.  If they think his death would be something so compelling and great they are fooling themselves. I don't have that much faith in bioware to do that. Shepard would probably mention Thane one time and then act like he was never there.

Everytime I hear ET I think of Thane, and the Futuristic Lover video. I guess it's his theme song now.Image IPB

ET also has me dazzled by how Thane can perform such bad-ass poses, especially when it looks like he's fixing the collar on his super-cool leather jacket. I was even giggling like mad when I saw him dancing at Afterlife!

Whilst I'm here, if anyone's interested, I've got a collection of Thane's quotes in a word document. It's not complete yet; a few screenshots here on this thread told me that much. If anyone wants a nice quote from yours truly, let me know.

People are entitled to their own opinions, it's just a shame when they don't acknowledge others'.

At least we have found like-minded people here. I really don't think anything is going to change what the devs have planned, especially at this late stage. So no harm in leaving them be.
We're best discussing things we enjoy :)

It is a shame that people can mislead/judge Thane for his character. But yet people can have so much love for Tali, when she in a way, is like a female Thane.
She talks about her life on the Flotilla. Does she get hated? Nope.
Thane makes a slight comment on his life? Its something instant.

Of course, I don't mean to "bash" Tali. I love Tali! Shes just the easiest comparison IMO.
I really don't understand the fanbase now n days.

And Thane quotes? Ooooh! Spill some lovely Thane quotes!

Thane quote coming right up!

Shepard: You put children in danger to spy for you?
Thane: Children, the poor. My people’s word for their kind is “drala’fa”: the ignored. They’re everywhere, see everything, yet they are never seen.

After talking to Mouse, if you ask him how he is, he talks about how Mouse knew more about him then Kolyat did. And ,I think when Shep asks how he tells her that he used to get Mouse to gather information about targets for him.

I was thinking about who, outside of Shepard, Thane is probably closest to out of the crew. Although I wish it was an epic bromance with Garrus I think he is propably closest to Samara. This is a reason I can never take Morinth, I think that would kill poor Thane, they probably meditate together.Image IPB

Edit: Cause I thought you may all appreciate more coherancy and less babble.Image IPB

You get that line when you talk to mouse during the loyalty mission. If you pick the option for Shepard to ask Mouse how he knows Thane you get that line.

Ah okay. I usually just try to speed things up there, cause Thane has that look of sadness and like he un-comfortable. ^.^

@Fleshdress I always thought that too ! But my Mass Effect PT's always glitch, so I never get the option to kill Samara anyways. I always wonderded why , but I really don't like Mornith anyways. Hahaha

I think Thane and Garrus would probably get along.
I agree that maybe Samara, but I could see him being friends with Kasumi too.

Yeah, if he wasn't with Shepard, I would totally ship Thane and Samara together.

I agree with you Ava, they don't recognise that we accept that Thane dying is acceptable if it was the part of a choice, and the other option will be to have him alive. We aren't unreasonable. But ah well. Seems like we constantly repeat the same argument over and over again anyway.

And I would like to see some bromance between Thane and Garrus. Two of my favourite characters after all ;)

That scene isn't really sad. If you choose option to ask mouse about knowing Thane you will eventually get those lines from them.

These lines are a little sad

I wouldn't ship them as a couple, cause Samara is too something and I doubt she wants to chance losing anything else She has enough trauma lined up to last her a few more lifetimes. But I ship them as being close and Samara handing out child bridge building advice, and finding some solace in it even, as her own relationship with her daughters is full of the dramaz, I suspect helping Thane with Kolyat would bring her a little peace.

Still I head canon the Garrus/Thane bromance.

Lol, most will say they want to see Thane die just to stir up more hate on the internet. Others have fair points. I honestly don't want him to die but if it happens my Shep better freaking Bawl, and ragequit the storyline.

"Shepard, It's the Reapers!"

"Good, let them come. I'm done."

*player Bawls*

I don't see any problem with not giving us a choice though. Those who think he will be cheapened by living, don't cure him... those who don't see a Galaxy worth saving without Thane, yah we should probably get to keep our LI. :P

Ohhhh, whats that line from?

I always found the scenes sad to me IMO. Like when Thane is talking about Chocolate and when he speaks of Kolyat. But over and all, its a good scene. But my favorite part out of that is when Thane says "Be still Mouse, You can change your pants in a moment." Or something among them lines. Someone will correct me if I am wrong I hope

And if Bioware decides to be ..."cheap" and have Thane die, cause a lot of people demand it. I will exactly feel like these people in the video (and I also know this is from a kid show. But I still find it hilarious to watch sometimes. And it does seem like Bioware would be doing a prank on us)

Just like this..

Bioware doesn't exactly do death very well IMO. Some of the senes that are suppose to be emotional in both ME1 and 2 didn't make me feel anything.

I don't think letting Thane die will cheapen him at all. It will suck but it will be one of the top ranked saddest moments in video game history. His Character if done correctly can live and not be seen as a cop out, but to let him die? Once again if done correctly could be an epic moment. Then again Bioware really struggles with grief from protagonists. I mean in DAII when people die, I'll admit the fist time I cried and afterwards I was very... "There are better ways to have done this." But in ME2 they seem to have figured out grieving for NPCs. I think they can do wonderful heartbreaking things with our Sheps. Like I said, I don't want it to happen, but if it does I would like to see it done well. Not just for Thane, for everyone we lose in ME3.

We need more fun Thane talk and less "If we kill Thane in ME3 I will literally have to move in and live in ME2 cause my poor self cant handle the hurt."

I wonder why Thane started assassinating again after starting a family? Money maybe? Didn't want to stay so still? The Hanar kinda screwed him over by training him up as their assassin. Now he has Keprals, and feels skilless outside of what he was taught.

He says it's because he had no other skills. I wonder if he ever tried to do something else and it didn't work out. I don't know if he had money problems, but he did have to find a way to support his family. Killing was all he knew how to do.

It is sad that he wasn't trained for anything else. I guess if he had he might not have met Shepard.

Lol, they can meet when he becomes the first Drell dancer.

"The only other skill I have is looking amazing!" They could meet that way.

"You, Drell. Yah I need, NEED, you on my ship... Now. Go."

"I am well trained at fighing as well."

"That require you to leave the bedroom?"

"I- ah yes?"

"Then no. Move out."
