Yes i do realise musicians are poets, but Thane would be more of a literary poet.
I agree with this. Thane has the soul of a poet. His eloquent way of speaking is one of the things that immediately drew me to his character. The descriptions of his memories are especially poignant. I love the beautiful, vivid way he describes the Hanar:
Looping, diving. So fast the eye can't follow. Laughing like the squeals of a child vibrate the water. They fly over the black of the water like birds plumed with the light of heaven.
He seems like a really intelluctual, well-read man. I can easily see him as a writer and he'd be a good one with so much life experience to draw upon.
