Thane *is* seriously good looking... I consider this to be a fact .

He was designed that way, my boyfriend was shocked that Thane being attractive to women was one of the main aims of the designers... he just doesn't get it...can't see past the scales but i don't get Tali or Liara so we're even .

I was surprised that I could see the attraction in such an alien character, his voice certainly helps:wub:.  For me, Garrus has always been a step too far

It is definitely a fact that Thane is good looking. At least for me it is.

My husband doesn't understand it either. He just sees Thane as a big lizard, but I don't care.

For me Garrus looks just a bit too alien.  Thane on the other hand doesn't look too alien, and he doesn't look too human.

One of the main reason I waited so long to play the ME series was because of all the aliens in it. However, it seemed all the aliens are the coolest, like Mordin, Garrus and Samara. And I have a ...strange obsession over Thane from the very first moment I saw him. Im happy Im not the only one! For me - ME3 without Thane will be less fun to play. Hopefully one of the unconfirmed squadmember is Thane *crossing my fingers*

I also find Thane VERY attractive - Garrus not so much.  However I have romanced him once.

Thane is just so - yummy.  And that voice!!!

I'm a male/hetero, and I think Thane and Garrus are handsome alien characters. Their voices are distinguished to match.

(His recognition of love from the letter) Likely therefore the scene with Thane looks in the end more romantic and deeper, than with Garrus.

I'm really trying.
I don't mind being put through hell. I don't expect them to make anything easy for us.
I am a little worried about the continuation of his romance. I'm also worried about what they are going to do with him in ME3.

I don't think so Friera. Though I do know that if you take the renegade option in the love scene before the SM that you won't get that infuriating fade to black.

 Immediately came to mind the image of renegade Shep with black lipstick on lips, terrible scars and red eyes, for which the best answers are always red and the lower one, and who loves to experiment on others, and possibly on Thane. (Just try to escape from me..."diabolical laugh")

Im starting a new playthrough where my Shep hasn´t romanced Kaiden first! I need all possible options to save Thane in ME3.

All my Shepards are single. I only have one that romanced Kaidan first. The rest I made single just for Thane, and one for Garrus.

Thing is, there's not really a "renegade romance" because in order to fully romance LIs in Mass Effect, you need to pick the same conversation options. They are the ones often associated as being paragon because they are at the top of the dialog wheel. Even though they don't actually give you paragon points.
It's because the lower options on the wheel are more associated with lines of rejection. You can still pick those lines occasionally, it really depends on what it's in relation to though. Often during the romance, the lower options are the options to end the romance.
You can also pick some neutral lines but you have the same problem in that you need to choose the top options in order to progress the romance.

There are no dialog changes that I'm aware of based on renegade score either, even in the final romance scene.

So you can have a renegade Shepard romance Thane, but it won't change the romance.
