New face here:P I`ve been reading this thread for a few weeks now, finally decided to make an account to show my support.
Oh I have so much to say that..asddfghjk I can`t even!
Lets start by posting my fav fem-drell pic (witch I`m sure all male players would want to romance if given an option). What is it that makes drells so attractive uh?
I don`t really mind breasts, makes her more relatable for me I quess:P

And I stumbled on another Cg vid of Thane. ( )Im guessing it was a introduction. It was absolutly awesome. Since I didn´t play ME series until december 2011, I had no idea what I started playing. Can´t belive the games turned out to be one of THE best games Ive ever played...
I can imagine if I was waiting for ME2, Id squueeeel so loud when BW introduced Thane for the first time "Sometimes I feel regret, sometime I feel remorse, but most of the time... I feel nothing". Thats just..epic!

I feel the same, started playing dec 2011 and I`m thinking-WHERE were these games before? Why didn`t I know anything about them?

I wanted to ask-am I the only one who thinks something is awfully wrong with Thanes face in his trailer-you know the one where he is nicely rendered and all. But his face there looks ugly, all the nice sharp features gone, nose, eyes lips too shallow and small etc...like a frogface. I can`t stand to look at those pictures. It`s like some entirely different group of people were asked to recreate him and they didn`t bother to look how he looks like in the game. I hope they don`t change him in ME3..

That is one of my favorite trailers. That one and the other one with him, MShepard , and Grunt.

His face maybe looks a little glossy in that. It may have been made before the game came out so they didn't have his look down yet. Have you seen the article on Thane's creation?

I also think  Mirand and Jack look a bit different in theirs. I think Jack actually looks prettier in her trailer. Not that I think she looks ugly in the game. I think they messed up a bit with Miranda.

The only thing that might change is Thane's outfit in ME3. As long as they don't have the sunglasses and earrings I will be fine.

I`ve seen the creation process page, I`m glad they ended up with Thane as we know:)
Mirandas nose bothers me in the game, sometimes I feel like I can see her brain through her nostrils So yeah she`s prettier in the trailer. So as Jack (I loooove Jack btw! I`m her "boss-lady")

Hello Graywolf11, I'm also new to this thread. (: And I know exactly what you mean, it's nice to know there's other fangirls out there to talk with! I don't know any other gamer girls in RL which is actually quite sad when I think about it haha, all my friends think I'm weird  I suppose I could talk to my brother about my obsession with Thane but I doubt he'd feel the same way about him!

Apologies for the double post but I agree, in Thane's trailer I'm not a big fan of his face which sounds like a horrible thing to say but I still love him! Then again, Miranda and Jack look different as well but Thane just looks..odd. I also hope they don't change him in ME3 or I may be a tad angry!

I also started playing last year because I walked in on my brother playing it and I thought "This looks pretty good, might play it later." I never thought I'd become so obsessed with the game!

Maybe his body looks a bit bigger than his head in the trailer. If you notice in the other trialer with Grunt and MShepard Thane looks a little bit more musclar than he does in the game.

My husband discovered my Thane obsession. He just doesn't get it.

I like Jack also. On my next playthrough I'm going to make a MShep to do her romance. I do think they could have done a better when they modeled Miranda after Yvonne.

Want to know how I discovered it at all? I played Skyrim and there is this marriage option right? And I was like "meh, lets see who`s on the list" and from some thread I found someone commenting that nothing beats Biowares romances, quick youtube search and as soon as Thane came up I was sold I knew all the best lines even before I started playing and I decided to do things right and picked up ME1 first. Right now I`m about to go talk to Thane again, last time he gave me this "10 years without friends" line so..YEAAA
Who hasn`t read Kalenels fanfic yet, I strongly suggest-you must read it if you`re true fan. It`s just so so effin good!

My husband bought ME1 for me when it came out because he thought I would love it.

Jade Empire was my first Bioware game. They had romances in that game,and I really liked it, so I was happy to find out that they also added it to ME.
None of the other romances really grabbed me until Thane. He's my favorite.

Thane's romance is my favourite too.

Garrus' romance is cute with his adorable awkwardness but I feel that with his and Shepard's connection, they deserved a better romance scene. It got better towards the end though.
Thane was my Shepard's romance in my first playthrough but my PS3 broke so that got deleted :/ I eventually got a new PS3, romanced Garrus but didn't feel the same connection. Next playthrough, had to choose between Garrus and Thane which was pretty difficult.
I chose Thane because his story is just so emotional and, well, him calling my Shep "Siha" was pretty much a win not to mention he's such a romantic, he's the first character in a game I've actually fallen for! Can't wait to see him in ME3, I just hope Bioware has done him justice!

Hopefully bioware will do him justice. I did romance Garrus also, and it was very sweet.
I agree that Thane is very much a romantic. You can just see how much he loves Shepard, and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. Let's hope bioware gives us some kind of happy ending with him. I still want to take Thane to the desert.

I'm also hoping thathe and Kolyat get to work things out in ME3. I'm wondering if we will see any kind of reaction from him when he finds out about Thane and Shepard.

I`m bringing up old convos from this thread but Keithe still hasn`t read Thanes letter so I was thinking the other day that...maybe..just maybe they changed the direction of Thanes fate from him dying 100% in the third game to having an option to save him. Cause him reading that letter would somehow seal his fate (Thane reading it would mean he is dead). So having no word from Keithe I`m starting to believe maybe they have a surprise for us in storage?
(Thinking of Keithe having loads of lines to read/act so he just doesn`t have time is also an appealing thought)

Agreed, hopefully him and Kolyat patch everything up so Thane can have peace of mind. I'm wondering that too, surely Kolyat would have some kind of reaction. He'll probably have mixed feelings about it, I hope he wants to see Thane happy but I doubt he'll be absolutely thrilled seeing his father with someone else. Only time will tell!

I really do hope we have an option to save him, I'll definitely take it!  But knowing Bioware, saving Thane will probably have a significant consequence.
