About the ME1 romances and Shepard cheating/moving on: I have no problem with it after how Ashley and Kaidan reacted to Shepard on Horizon, but even though I've never liked Liara at all, I think it would be sad to make a Shepard who cheats on her. She stays loyal to Shepard and would go through hell and back for her/him, and Shepard knows it, so cheating on her then... just seems strange, unless your Shepard has a different reason for it than the reasons we commonly use for VS break-ups. Still, I'm planning a new Shep for it. For science?

Also, on the subject of Thane, I've considered making a Shepard who romances Kaidan but then loses him on Virmire, and then pairing her with Thane. Then there would be two of them who lost a loved one. (Technically, my Natalie Shepard, who is paired with Thane, has also lost loved ones... it just didn't happen in-game where I can play out the drama. She's already coped with it long before ME1 starts.)

I still remember when I first found out we were supposed to feed the fish... I had finally realized that it was possible to click on the tank, but what I saw there was a "clean out dead fish" button. It shocked me when I clicked it and all the fish, which I thought were just swimming at the top of the tank, suddenly disappeared. o_o And later I was told that you have to feed them after every mission or so. Biotic fish, they must be.

Ok well now you're making me feel bad.  But not bad enough.  I actually only romanced Liara way back when in ME1 because someone had given me the game as a gift, and then there was all this hulabaloo about the "romance scene".  At the time I had apparently already messed up the Kaidan dialogue so he was out, which left Liara.  And I find her a little sanctimonious for my Sheps.  However, I'll probably do another PT with this imported save and stay loyal.  More reasons to play ME3!  Or so I tell my hubby :)  My Kaidan PT is corrupt or something - it shows on my ME2 import list, but I can't select it.  Not sure what has happened.

I have another Kaidan PT where I've already cheated with Mr. Krios.  What's wrong with me?  I can't resist that Drell!  I have the same issue with Fenris!   Argh!!!

Here's more yummy Thane!  Courtesy of Angua33

Don't worry, I've never been able to do a faithful Kaidan run for that exact same reason. ^^ I've never romanced anyone but Fenris in DA2, after 4 playthroughs, it's getting creepy. xD

I love Angua33, her art is so sexy, I can't get enough. <3

This is what I've planned for my next (and possibly final) run of ME. It's such a shame that the almost-kiss doesn't happen before Virmire, 'twould have been perfect. :crying:

 Most definitely.

Romance all the characters!!
Ok no, but I said Kelly I would catch her or something and then she feed my fish (I was tempted to say "I will drop you" so badly) :D
Did anyone else get Tali to admit she would be willing to link suits with femshep? I was like wtf!!! :D Oh the sexual tension aboard the Normandy....:D

What is in the picture frame if you don`t romance anyone in me1?

And I haven`t noticed but did you guys saw that letter witch arrived about the time you get Thane in your crew? Somewhat like an add- to Enkindlers "church"..I can`t recall what it said exactly but something about curing Keprals and drell lying in the water. I had another wtf moment right there.

That was one of a few random junk emails that Shepard gets. Although, the others were a lot more comical and lighthearted than that one...

Even in the future you still get junk mail.

I don't think there is a picture frame if you didn't romance anyone in ME1.

The frame disappears if you didn't have a LI.

In a weird way, I took the drell/keprals letter as, "have hope, Thane fans!"

Here's a random question I got while re-watching Thane's romance scenes on Youtube.

Where are his ears o_o? I've looked and he doesn't look like he has any area or opening or anything that could possibly be an ear. I mean, I didn't see anything on Garrus, and if we see under a Quarian's helmet we'll have a far bigger issues to deal with then, but it looks like Asari have some sort of ear on the side of their heads and Thane...

Well I guess they don't need ears as we know them but it does raise the question as to how they do hear and from where...

I`m hoping that`s what they ment- that cure is possible:wizard:

Could be the ears are hidden? Something covering them- like chickens, they have this tuft of feathers and the ear is behind it (let`s be honest tho-probably the designers just didn`t bother:P)

I think you may be right. They probably didn't think anyone would really notice so they didn't even bother with it.

Garrus`s thread reminded me-does anyone have a screencap of Thane from Talis loyalty misson-during the hearing you can see him sitting on stairs, arms around his knees (I thought it was adorable, only minus was the stupid helmet he had to wear:/ )

Sorry, didn't mean it like that. Like I said, I'm still going to do it too. And if I ever start to feel guilty about it, all I have to do is remember that she trap-romanced one of my MaleSheps. :P

For the record, I also think it feels strange to romance favorites like Garrus/Tali/Thane with more than one Shepard because they would appear to be "cheating" on the last one, and most people don't. But that doesn't mean I won't do it if I run out of ideas for other Shepards to play. (The list of planned Shepards will be up to 30+ before I know it. D:)

@Ellise: Evil science, indeed. You should see my blood mage playthrough in DAO - so many companions either killed or sent away. And yet, I don't have the heart to play Darkspawn Chronicles. The reason? I will never kill the Warden's dog. But squadmates (aside from my favorites) can be killed in the name of playthrough variation.

I've been wondering the same thing about turians since Saren mentioned that he wanted ear plugs in Revelation. I have no idea where they would go.

I guess they could have just gone, "MEH!" but... I mean ears are kinda important, and most shots of Thane are of his head- they paid enough attention to detail to fuse his fingers, something we don't see save for a few precise shots, but ears?

Am I thinking too deeply about this? I've stared at Thane's face enough I'm surprised I didn't wonder about it sooner. For a humanoid species, or rather, any species capable of hearing things, I assume they would have to have something that functions as ears somewhere. I'm not upset or affronted, but a bit bothered. How does the man hear?!

Haha, yeah, like I said-the stupid helmet :bandit:
@Asenza: Every time I read from random fanfics, how Thane and Shep whisper something into eachothers ears, I`m thinking-wait, what ears?

Who would want random "hug-your-LI" interruptions in ME3? Anyone? Or is it just me?

Now, now, she never said anything bad about Thane specifically. She just questionned your reasons for being with him.
It was a low blow, she wanted to hurt Shepard like she'd been hurt. The intention was to hit a nerve, and she succeeded.
It would have been better if everyone else had gotten a b*tchy line, but oh well. The Thane romance his easier to pick on than the others. ;)

I'd think we could learn more if we read up on the internal ear structure of lizards. (as horrible as that sounds xD)

Ah, here we go:

" In many lizards the external ear is either absent or greatly reduced and most species have a superficial tympanum. The tympanic membrane is generally visible and covered with thin transparent skin which is also shed during ecdysis. In earless and horned lizards, the membrane is covered with scaly skin."

So, an earless Thane makes sense. ^^

@Saren: Yeah, I took that dog everywhere.<3 DSChronicles was hilarious though, I didn't think darkspawn could be swayed by gifts, someone needs to write that down for the next Blight. (Plus there's the whole "Herren is a desire demon" thing, I nearly died xD)

More opportunities for Shepard to hug his/her LI would be great, interrupt or not.

I guess that explanation would work for turians too? Awesome.

...And now I want to play it. D; I thought it would mostly be combat and I'm not missing much, but giving gifts to darkspawn? That does sound hilarious. Maybe I'll just close my eyes and buttonmash like crazy when Dog comes on-screen. It's just so sad.

@The Sarendoctrinator,

A bit random, but I just noticed your signatures.

At first I thought, Saren is deader than dead and there is less than a snowball's chance in a volcano of anything ever happening with him ever again...

And then I remembered that Shepard was deader than dead and that there was less than a drop of water's chance in hell of that plot point getting the amount of time and exposition a heavy issue like that demands.

Point is, hey you really never do know...

You mean a Saren resurrection? I don't expect it, even though all of my little dialogues have Saren Lazarused back to life. xD But I would be glad to see anything about Saren, either in ME3 or comics like Evolution. The "maybe there is still a chance" quote is actually something that Saren says in-game when he's trying to fight off indoctrination.

Oh, I meant more of him, in general. Like flashbacks. I mean even in memory he is kind of important, a fellow spectre, Shepard's predecessor in the fight against the Reapers. Not to mention he owned the first game, so I feel like it would kinda go amiss if he isn't even mentioned in the last.

Yeah, I hope he's mentioned too. The only thing Saren-related in ME2, besides Shepard saying his name a few times in connection with the Reapers and geth, was the statue... but it's DLC-only, and I don't have it. I did see one thing in ME3 that at least reminds me of Saren though, so I'm happy. :)
