Awesome show! I think it should be online by now, if anyone missed it. I'm not familiar with the guy playing Vega, but his voice fit the character and he plays Mass Effect, so that's a very good sign.

And if not entirely purple, make it look like he's wearing purple drag-queen style make-up. (Better not tell Saren that their paints are water-soluable, though. He'd likely go for an oil-based paint otherwise).

If you mean join forces after I get a gaming PC, which will not be anytime soon... then, of course!  But my Xbox is not connected online, so I won't be in the multiplayer right when the game comes out. More like several months, if I'm lucky.

Saren: Purple? You got it. *loads purple paint into the sparkle shooter and fires it at Thane*
Thane: *completely purple* Did you have to use a weapon for this?
Saren: Well, I took all the ammo out, so it just shot paint... at a very high impact.
Natalie: *gasps* Thane! You new paint matches my eyes!
Thane: At least some good came from this. How long will I be purple?
Saren: As long as I'm still golden...
MainShep: ...and matches my eyes.
Carson: See? It all worked out for everyone.
Thane: Says the man who hasn't had paint thrown or fired at him.
Saren: Quick, what color eyes does his girlfriend have?

ME 3 has multiplayer? I must have been under a rock. Don't much appreciate the idea either (even if you can play as drell) Just hope the single player hasn't been punished to make the multiplayer part good. >.>

I'm not sure. Not all drell have the same forehead marking as Thane, but that one did. Feron and Kolyat don't. That move was cool though, leap, biotic ground punch, throws all nearby enemies off their feet. Reminded me of Jak and Daxter...

GASP! Is that what they did to all ME2 squadmates? Make 'em multiplayer charries?!

I thought that was a very cool move. At this point I have no idea what they have done with the ME2 squadmates.

What I'm most concerned about ME3's multiplayer, despite having it sound pretty cool and enjoyable, is how you start it up. I was also told that it would have an effect on the single-player part. If it requires a PSN connection, I'm stumped.

Yeah, I'll be stuffed too if it does, since I only have one phone line and it's currently hooked up to my lappy. So I'm either going to be here, or on the PSN.

I heard about the connection to the single player campaign. I know that if you fully level out the character it becomes part of the Galaxy at War war resources in the sp campaign. Any other connection I don't know about.

PS I don't think that that was a spoiler since it's been in every magazine I've read in the last couple of months, but I greyed it out just in case. :innocent:

I wonder if we will be able to play a female Turian in multiplayer. Or a female Drell. Thats would be sweet. That way for any playthroughs I don't romance Thane I can make him a Badass Drell to eventually fall for.

Eww, gods no, not Team Vega.

I mean... we don't really know anything about him! So it's so easy to pick on him for the way he looks like a moose on steroids... and the fact that he looks like he was made to appeal to people who play other games where they control moose on steroids...

Anyone else hoping we'll get a lot more romantic dialogue in ME3? Because after the "I have feelings for you" conversation with Thane, there's that one circular "how are you feeling" conversation with two endings (one of which being the desert proposition) and then the romance scene.

Jack, Miranda, Tali, Garrus and Jacob all get more conversations and more things to talk about than Thane, and Thane as a member of a whole different species should have had a lot more to say!

Oh, my own biased opinion. Vega looks like he was ripped straight from Gears of War. Did I mention it was my very superficial, biased opinion?

It's all aesthetic but the art stye of Gears of War bothers me for itself and its implications.

But back to lovely Thane....

...I also kind of grudge new characters because I'm not invested in them and fear that those characters I am invested in (esp Thane) are getting sidelined. I don't want my Shep being forced into some mentor role with that lump.

His voice actor seemed articulate and seemed excited- as a fan of the series, it must be an incredible opportunity for him. But so far as Vega as a character goes, it's really hard to like a new character when there are so many other established ones that I want to see back.

Isn't that a bit of the purpose of a series? Following a certain set of characters throughout the story? Stand-alone games don't have that luxury. It certainly doesn't help that we've been told straight out that he's a fill in for new players, new people to the Mass Effect universe. I'm pretty sure we got through the other games without a new person spouting information for the benefit of those who came later...

From what I've read about the multiplayer, you do need to be online. This was really disappointing to me. I was all ready to buy a second Xbox controller and teach someone how to play Mass Effect. D:

About Vega, I think he's going to be a cool character. Probably not one of my favorites, but I'll enjoy having him on the team.

From what I've seen Vega isn't appealing to me either. I don't mind the GoW look - but in GoW. I loved that series, but it's a different realm from ME.

And I'm doing another PT, and saved my game this time to hear all Thane's lines about how it's possible to love more than one in a lifetime, and that he would carry Shep in his heart. I immediately re-loaded and romanced the man properly! Gah, so sweet!!

Sorry I haven't caught up on this thread for a while! I have had a new gaming rig being set up this week, all in preparation for ME3 of course! Love the picture above, and happy belated 200th page!

It seems that this close to the release date, whatever plans they have for Thane are pretty much set in stone for him, I am very excited! I wonder if there will be any sort of competition between Thane and Vega, it seems Vega will be an LI in one way or another. We already know there will be a confrontation with Kaidan depending on whether or not you romanced him...

So then ladies, when ME3 comes out, we all gonna put our playthroughs and romances with Thane all down here? Say the dialogues they had, options picked, possible missions etc...
