Awesome screenshots! My personal favorite is the one where he's stage whispering to someone offscreen (Shepard, I presume?)

Thane's alternative outfit grew on me. The only glaring problems are that you can't toggle off those sunglasses (which don't work with the romance scenes, especially before the relay). And the outfit completely covers his chest which isn't good for his health according to that medical report Dr. Chakwas wrote. Ahem. ;D Otherwise, it's not too bad.

I'm extremely interested to see how he looks in ME3. I heard there's artbook scans floating around but have heard nothing specifically concerning Thane. Did he get a page talking about how they evolved his look for ME3? I saw Jack's page posted on the Jack thread.

Jack and EDI seems to be the only ones who have an updated look. I doubt there will be a big difference with Thanes look. Maybe changed the color, but that's probably it.

Agreed. They should have included a toggle for that stuff.

Ashley looks pretty different too, compared to her ME1 days.

Also, why does it seem like every drell we see has been raiding  Thane's closet? It was bad enough with Kolyat and Feron. Can't they just design different armor for other drell? To set them apart?

Garrus has a similar problem. I can't say how many times my Shep accidentally shot him thinking he was a Blue Suns merc.

That drell also had the same black mark on his head as Thane... that isn't as common, as shown by Kolyat and Feron.

It's just how it is with most games. Reusing the same skin for convience. While I can understand it in games like Fallout, where the world's big with sooo many npcs, it seems a bit less... needed in a game like Mass Effect, that is detailed and less of a sandbox game.

I'm not reading into it personally, it's just easier for the game designers this way I guess.

You know, I never bought the alternate outfit for Thane. In fact I've never really seen it until that screenshot (very nice screenies, Ottemis!) and you know what, I'm jumping on the hater bandwagon with this one. It just is not Thane. It actually looks like someone has stripped off the ships plating and glued it onto Thane while he was sleeping. So no. And no to the glasses, though they are a little less ick to me.

Also, you are never going to believe it but.... INVICTUS HAS GONE LIVE!!!! To the newbies on the thread, no that is not a leak, that's the major fanfic I've been working on.
To the oldies: I know, I can't believe it. I thought I was never going to get that bloody thing posted! It's just the prologue for now, but Chapter One should go live tomorrow! I promise. Please don't hurt me. *hides under the table*

I forgot about Ashley. Those three are the only one's so far with a big updated look. They might update Miranda because that catsuit was a bit unrealistic in combat. Everyone else that we have seen so far pretty much looks the same.

Every drell should not be wearing Thane's outfit , but that was just bioware being lazy. In the comic Ferons outfit looks nothing like what he wears in LotSB. I guess maybe it was just easier for them to do that.

I noticed that. Also didn't that drell have his chest and back exposed. Kolyat and Feron don't because they don't need to. Does that mean this drell has Kepral's Syndrom or did Bioware just forget?

Well, Thane alone has three seperate outfits, whether or not they follow the same general design matters little I would think. Aside from that, there's 3 (THREE) Drell total in the mass effect series atm. Not a number to judge anything on.
Plus the MP dude having an open chest means nothing directly. Could be a fashion statement aside from it being beneficial to Drell suffering from Kepral. It would logicly be beneficial to every Drell seeing Kepral or not, they are all sensitive to humid air/environ.

I don't see how you can pull any conclusions from comparisons between three drell total, sorry.
By that standard we could conclude female Drell don't exist.

Just sounds weird that the three drell we see, have the exact same style of clothing cause they like it. Just as most turians look the same, casual outfit or not.

That's why I'm assuming it was an easier design choice to make.

Probably both. They forgot then they just stopped caring. Feron doesn't even where that in the comic book.

Kolyat might have gotten that outfit from Thane. I think it might was in the things Thane left for him. I don't know why they changed what Feron wears. It's just odd that they all are wearing Thane's outfit.

The drell clothes might be built into their actual body design so making something different might force them to add something to their body. I think the drell looks different from humans in game (except the skin and markings) don't they?

Still doesn't explain why someone else didn't wear Thane's third outfit, the one with the shades.

Drell bodies seem to be pretty close to human form what I can see. Except for the skin, head and fingers.

There are only three drell in the game that we have seen,and because there aren't that many of them. You would think that it would have been easier to come up with something different for each. Maybe it was just easier to put them all in the same thing.

I just always thought Thane's outfit had more to do with his job than actual fashion.

Kolyat having a similar outfit is more forgivable. Feron should've had a different outfit, if you ask me. Something similar to what he had on in the comic would've been cool and effective for continuity reasons.

I wonder how Feron will be doing in ME3. I'm not sure how being tortured almost everyday for two years would continue to affect him, especially since he's from a species that can remember everything.

Just a question for everyone; what class is your favourite? Mine would be Infiltrator (sniper! xD especially the Widow) but Vanguard or Sentinel are a close second.

I don't have a favourite class, depends on my mood. My least favourite classes are soldier and engineer. On the collector ship I tend to pick up the sniper skill (unless I'm playing vanguard). I can see Thane giving sentinel and adept shepards some tips.
