[The Sarendoctrinator]

I thought that would have been a good reason to give FemShep longer hair options in ME2 as well, being out of the military (plus being dead for two years, because otherwise someone at Cerberus has been keeping her hair styled just as it was). And now that Ashley gets long hair, while still being an active member of the Alliance... my FemSheps want it too! xD

I couldn't agree more. Shepard isn't in the military anymore so there's no reason why she can't grow her hair. I'm not saying that I want Shepard to have Rapunzel-length hair but at least shoulder-length, maybe even a little longer.

I understand Saren, my femshep's are getting jealous too!

And don't worry myth, if you can't get the demo then we will all keep you informed and tell you about it, if you would like. (:

I would like please Purple. It amazes me that I've almost used all my data limit. Well, the 1pm - 1am lot, anyway, because I have a VERY LARGE data limit. Oh, why do I procrastinate so?!

By the way, I was wondering, since I'm up to that chapter in my Invictus first draft: Thane says that he left Kolyat in the care of his aunts and uncles, but do we know who's siblings they were? Were they Irikah's sister or brother, or Thane's? Did Thane maintain contact with his family during his training? Did he regain contact with them afterward his training, or his marriage? Or was he just adopted into Irikah's? It's been a little while since I've played ME2 and I haven't gone through all the books, or any of the comics, and ME wikia just refuses to load for me most of the time, so I don't remember/know if we were directly told who they were related to, or if it was just left to our imagination.

Does anyone know? I have my own ideas to answer these questions, but I don't want to go against canon any more than I already have with creating my Shepard, so I want to make Thane's background as canonical as possible.

I don't think any of that was answered in the game. He just said aunts and uncles. The only thing that even comes close to talking about his relationship with his family was, "Books fulfilled me. Reading. I hardly spoke to anyone outside my family." And even there, there wasn't any specificitity.

So I'd say you have carte blanche to do as you will. I do wish we had more information about him, past the whole Irikah thing, if you work it into your story it would be a breath of fresh air. What was his training like? Were there many others in training with him? Who did the Hanar use him to kill? Anyone of major importance and if so, why? Does he keep any of the Hanar's dirty secrets, being a honed tool of theirs? Since he was given away by his parents to honor the Compact, did he keep in contact with them? Does he have any siblings? What does he like to read besides philosophy? It would be hillarious if he had a secret thing for old westerns, or maybe some Drell kind of literature. 

Unfortunately, there was really not that much we learned about him in ME2. A good portion of it was superficial, "So what's your species like?" info. Certainly a bit too much spent on his illness and Irikah, considering how few conversations you could have with him. Hopefully ME3 with flesh him out a bit more.

Doesn't shepard go back to the Alliance in ME3?
You can have long hair in the military you just have to tie it up if it's too long.

Look at that drell there...my first reaction was-they didn`t bother to change anything, the costume, color/patch on his forehead, even the bare chest is just like Thanes. Is that Thane? What what? Why make all drells like that?

Easier design choice gamewise to make all Drells similar or it's just a temporary look for the multi player Drell.

What I'd assume anyway.

I don't think that's suppose to be Thane, but I don't know. Most drell shouldn't have the bare chest. Thane has that for a reason. Bioware is just lazy or they simply didn't care.

I don't think that's suppose to be Thane, but I don't know. Most drell shouldn't have the bare chest. Thane has that for a reason. Bioware is just lazy or they simply didn't care.

But there are Wrex, Tali and Liara design as well.

The Drell is, however, 100% like Thane. Very dissapointing for their laziness.

And I just rewoke my hate for Ashley and Kaiden by looking through the squad. I can´t wait to kill off the one I saved. (Im being childish now.. )
How come Tali and Garrus isn´t shown on the squad?

The krogan does look like Wrex, but the armor doesn't. It looks more like Grunts. I can't tell if that looks like Liara, and she never wore one of those commando outfits. The quarian does look like Tali. The drell definitely looks like Thane. They didn't even bother to change the color.

It would be wonderful to know a little bit more about his relatives, his training and other things, but since he won't be in the squad - according to the informatin given until now - I have no hope that the devs will take much care about more information about Thane.

So we have to rely on our fantasy about all that stuff, ladies.

Ok so according to Bioware today on Twitter, the FemShep trailer is tomorrow! Could we hope for a glimpse of our favorite drell?
Even just to specifically see Thane in the background would make me happy.

I believe they said Kaidan would be in it, but I don't know about anyone else.
