Maybe we shoud start asking them lots of questions. On Facebook or Twitter.
Do they answer the questions on twitter at all? Does anyone ever aske about Thane?

Well, they announced that the game has gone gold. Meaning it's finished and ready to be sent out to retailers. If they haven't already given Thane a decent story then he won't be getting one and no amount of campaigning can change that now.

All we can do now is hope for the best.

Or they could be doing what they did for the VS/Liara/Wrex fans in ME2- a complete information blackout, not to keep secret an awesome appearance or huge plot spoilers, but to shield themselves from an angry response to a short, lackluster, hastily drawn up cameo.

Now it's too late to change anything. We'll have to hope the attention given to the Cure Thane in ME3 picture/petition actually resonated with them.

EDIT- I now have a twitter... If I figure out how to work it, who should I ask? I'd just ask for a screenshot, a split second clip in a video, any information at all (more than, he's in the game if he lived, obviously).

Not true - all they need is you to have purchased the game.  The minute you put it in your console or download it onto PC, there can be an immediate update - which could be all Thane!

We know we can't change anything now but it can't hurt to ask them. If we are not satisfied with is role in ME3 they are going to hear about it. It also can't hurt in case they are planning any future ME3 dlc. Maybe they will actually put him in the trailer if they have time. I don't really know.

I have this little tiny weird hope that Thane's a full squadmember in ME3. Or rather that either LI becomes a full squadmember. I strongly doubt it though and I hate myself for hoping it too, cause it'll just set up to major disappointment if he isn't.

There's probably not point heading to twitter and such and ask about it already, until we know what actually will happen.

Has his voice actor said *anything* at all or has he been all silent? I think he was pretty interested in Thane and his story, wasn't he?

Cosmochyck - Do you mean Thane centered DLC to update his story? I find that unlikely but ... I'll try anything. I don't have a twitter but I can make one to join you guys in poking BioWare for information on our favorite Drell.

Who should we ask? I have no idea which of them are even on twitter.

We aren't talking about the game.

That's already done, but they could tell us something. Screen shot. They could still put him in the trailer. It can't hurt to ask. Plus there is still dlc. You never know what they have planned for that.

It doesn' thave to be Thane centered. We all know they wont do that . Asking them however could be the difference between having him in any future dlc and not having him in it at all.

Keythe has said literally nothing on his ME3 role. Not even a single hint or tease. We know he's in thanks to the script, though.

I'm a minute away for signing up for Twitter just to bug Casey Hudson for ANY little tidbit about Thane. Too much? Too crazy?
As for the update, I was thinking more along the lines of they get so much flack from Thane fans for not having enough of a role that they can incorporate something into the already existing script with an update. It's not out of the realm of possibility. Probably unlikely but a fangirl can dream

Frankly, I'm more worried about Thane in the game instead of in dlc which would have to happen after. Since this is the last game in the series, the only dlc could really be about the clean-up process, getting things back to "normal". And if Thane's fate is tied up with the events of the war, dlc won't change it.

And if they think I'm going to pay them more just to see Shepard do a sadness montage that they removed from the game just to sell it to me extra then people will pay...

No it isn't out of the realm of possibility and neither is any future dlc.

The dlc would most likely be about what happens after, but it doesn't have to be. Some dlc could also take place at any point in the game before the end.  There is also the chance that Thane won't die in the game so he could still be in that dlc. The dlc could also be about the months after arrival and before ME3.

They are planning dlc's though so you never know.

@Fiery - I know   And to be honest, I don't have the time or patience for Twitter, so alas, someone else will have to try to harass Casey. 
Do you think we'll have the ability to gun down squadmates?  I wished I had had that ability in ME2.  I can tell you right now that Vega and Tali would be the first to go....sorry Tali fans.  Maybe Shep could make it look like an accident?

I doubt you can gun them down. The problem I have is that if they are dead you don't get a replacement with anyone. Also is Liara still going to be the only one with plot armor.

Speaking of gunning down squadmates...  hn. It would probably be... hn, I need to think on it but Vega would go in a heartbeat if I could then choose anyone from ME2 to replace him.

It does have a lot of memembers. I joined that group a while back too, it just isn't very active right now. Bioware still has the "Cure Thane" banner in their office I think. Hopefully they haven't forgotten about that.

Personally, I don't think Thane will be a full time squad member like Liara or Ashley/Kaidan, but I also don't expect that for the majority of the cast for ME2 (except, well, Garrus and Tali). Since one of the first things that is stated about Thane when he is introduced into ME2 is the fact that he's dying, I consider it most likely that he'll die in ME3 from the disease (which would be sad, but not surprising).

I just hope that there will be time to explore the LI a bit more before that, and I think they will do that for all LIs from ME2 that do not seem to be available for the full time squad (Miranda, Jack, Jacob, Thane basically.. maybe Samara?). Miranda for instance was quite popular as an LI because of her fantastic personality, so it seems likely that they won't just be ignored.

The only thing that would upset me is if Thane would be introduced only to be killed off immediately (despite people romancing him/ doing his loyalty mission), without having the opportunity to interact/build a story with the character at all. I also hope that it will be a bit sexy/funny/entertaining and not all just emotional/dramatic .


I am pretty curious though how Shepard (m/f) will react to a LI death. Story-wise, if Shep is brought back to earth right after/shortly after the Suicide Mission, is the LI really like a relationship or more like a fling?
