I'm just hoping that, like some had speculated, it will be difficult to get his happy ending but it will be a satisfying one and the other outcomes (bad ones) are easier to get. In this way, it feels rewarding and keeps the sense of urgency to 'fight for the lost'.

And if Thane does die, here's to hoping you can do something for Kolyat, especially since Bailey won't be around to help him.

Way back before we knew much of anything I thought about this, too. Thane being Shepard's liason to the Hanar, who had knowledge of some helpful prothean artifact which could be used to stop the Reapers. It would have made sense.

It does make so much sense. Thane's relationship with the Illuminated Primacy was somewhat established, even if we didn't actually see anything.

I won't say much more because I stole a lot of this for Invictus, and I want to leave some mystery for the next chapter.

Yes I'm trolling for readers. I'm ashamed to admit I'm feeling a little insecure about it all at the moment, since I've discovered I have to rewrite a fair bit of what I had ready to upload.

Also, some Thane smexiness for us all.

It's less than three weeks away, so let's try to stay positive - it appears that most people are in the same "no news" boat.

My guess on why we haven't been shown anything at all, as opposed to everyone else, is that Thane's appearance itself is spoilerific. Either that or BW sees us as the most patient group of people out there and they know we can handle the wait. (although it seems like there were talks of fire and pitchforks a few posts back....) Perhaps it will be better to just see him in-game.

I can tell you one thing, I didn't realize how much I missed these characters. Playing the demo, my face hurt from grinning like an idiot after seeing them again. Even characters that I'd never really gotten attached to, like Wrex and Liara - so great to see them. If there had been a hug button, I would have mashed it to bits. Thane better watch out.

I was thinking the other day, Thane was one of the first they showed last time. This time he's one of the very last. I wonder if they planned that all along. I have a feeling he won't be shown at all and our first sight of him will be in game. He's definitely the character they can be abuse for marketing purposes, because there is a major cliff hanger question surrounding him.

Giving that no one will come in here posting screenshots of him from an illegal copy of the game of course, I think we are in store for a big, pleasant surprise.

@Fiery Phoenix - Thanks! I'm sure there are a lot of people who feel the same way I do, they're just being drowned out by "OMG the demo sucks, pre-order cancelled."

Let's face it, it's the characters and story that keep us coming back, not the fact that we can holster our gun. People are making big deals out of nothing, in my opinion.

There's an ME3 spoiler for you. We haven't seen Thane in any trailers because he's busy teaching baby Kermit how to play tennis.

I actually started smiling like an idiot just by seeing Shepard at the very beginning even though it wasn't an import! then Anderson, from ear to ear upon meeting Kaidan, but when the Normandy appears and Joker says "Cavalry has arrived"

Too bad we don't get to see Joker in the demo. Can't wait for the full game!!

I don't remember hearing anyone saying the demo sucked. They are wrong if they think that because I loved it. What's making people upset is how the ME2 squad is being pushed to the side.
As much as I loved the demo and enjoyed seeing Anderson, Kaidan, and Wrex I'm still going to miss Thane. My favorite character and LI isn't going to be there.

Well I will be coming here to see what they say happens to Thane. I don't know if I can wait to find out myself. My first playthrough will be my Garrus romance so hopefully we will know something by then.

I still have my last playthrough.  It's hard staying out of life support. This is probably my last one before ME3. Fanfic and fan art will definitely help.

I think he should get LotSB. I enjoyed it more than the others.
