Yeah, Saren, i agree. So long as the change makes sense, I'm fine with it also. So I'm happy with Garrus finally changing his bloody armour and getting rid of that bandage that covered his sexy scars.... (oops, did I just say that?). I will be fine with Tali having the same suit. I would have been fine with Alenko and Ashley keeping the same armour, though i do like the fact that they've changed. The Pheonix armour was a bit to young for Ashley imo.

But I do really hope they upgrade Thane. Just, no sunglasses. At all. I hated sunglasses on him. And no Star Trek style visors either. Bleh.

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE Thane's look, and I will be perfectly happy if he keeps the same style. But seriously, I'm hoping he has at least one other outfit, because I've just had the horrible thought of what it would smell like after being worn for a year, or more.

I agree, it'd be cool to see another outfit (and I doubt they'd put sunglasses on Thane in the main game).. But am I the only one secretly thinking it would be hilarious if Thane wore sunglass the entire time. B)

Saren we are counting on you to know if Thane can be saved! *waves banner*
I am curious to see new Jack for one, I haven't looked at any concept art sketches or anything, although I have seen new Ash and almost didn't recognize her (new hair look).
I would like to think that loyalties have some part in the outfits, at least I can then have Thane with his sleek loyal outfit instead.
As for sunglasses... All the time? Nah, not for me (My Shepard wold not be amused. Especially in any intimate moments. :P).

My boyfriend and I were joking about how Thane and Jack were the only ones we hadn't seen. And we were like "Yeah, hatershades. All game. That's the troll."

If you don't care for a minor spoiler, in the video about whats in the N7 edition, when they flip the pages of the art book you can see the new Jack on one of the pages.

Eiiiiie only 11 more days... I was happy to see that Origin will allow predownload already on friday. Or maybe saturday in my country.

I never got the added outfits for ME2, didn't really want to put money on it and Thane's glasses (and some others) kinda stops me from wanting the otherwise cool outfit. >.< Can't deal with glasses where I can't see someone's eyes. xD

Unless it's a model, it doesn't really count! ... At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Is the art book available in stores yet? Because if it is, I've got to get that.

Or maybe the ME2 squad appear wearing their loyalty outfits, depending on whether Shepard helped them or not?

I think this would be great for the characters who don't get updates. It's a nice reminder of ME2.

Oh, it would be hilarious. I wouldn't like it though. I think the sunglasses look great on missions, but during a romance conversation? Now that I can only think of them as "hater shades", I might not be able to keep a straight face. xD

@ Asenza.

Well I'm jealous. Not only do we get an extra 2 days tacked on before release date, but the EB Games I ordered the game from is in Townsville, which is 200km and 3 hours away. And I realised late last night/really early this morning, that I won't be able to pick it up until a week after release. :crying:

Edit: Ooh, btw, i found Margurite's facecode last night. It was on the "Squad" screen. :)

Still looks nothing like her in the demo, though, so my retcon is still active. And, well, i'm kinda liking the idea now! Poor Margurite and Thane. :(

O_O? Where are you that two days got tacked on, or is that because of shipping? I'm in the US, got Amazon Release Date Delivery. I was going to go to the midnight release, but I have class the Monday before, so I just got it sent to my house. I'll just have a tense, where-the-hell-is-the-delivery-truck Tuesday.

Mass Effect art book is mine! >:D And it has Saren! ...Oh, and Thane too. Yes. Thane too. I think it's mostly the concept arts we've seen before of drell designs, and a full-page version of picture on the litho.

I'm sure you'll win. xD I can't play for too long at once without taking breaks, but I'll be looking up everything in the strategy guide before I get to it in-game. I should have any "save Thane" info that exists posted here when I take my first break. That's only a few hours after I buy the game, so... depending on US timezones, early/late afternoon.

(For the record, my rushed playthroughs of ME1 took about a month. That's fast for me.)

@Myth: Such a long wait! D: That must be hard. The anticipation is getting to me already. Just last night, I had a dream that I tried to convince a store clerk to give me a copy of ME3 early. Actually, trying to trick him into thinking ME3 should be out already and I couldn't find one on the shelves. I want this game so much.

Oh my golly gosh, a rushed playthrough took you a month? Haha! That's actually pretty cool. I just finished my first ME1 playthrough (I went straight to ME2 but looked up everything about ME1) and it took me a week and a bit but I loved it! At first I couldn't get used to it (I'm a PS3 gamer and I was playing on the 360) but I ended up really enjoying it! Absolutely loved it.

I'm with you on wanting ME3 so much. I. Can't. Wait.
I'm in the same situation as myth as in that I get it two days after America does but I'll be getting it the day it comes out here. At first I was pretty annoyed but now I"m okay with it because the weekend it comes out here, it's a 3 day weekend so that's just perfect for me. I'll be playing it every second of every day on the weekend. During the week it'll get harder to play it but I'll just have to find time. Actually, no, I'll need to find time. I need my mass effect fix! I'm addicted and proud of it. xD

Well, not so cool when the reason is that playing for too long hurts my eyes. ^^; I give myself one day when an awesome new BioWare game comes out to play it more than I should. But after that? Then it's back to short playtimes each day until I finish the game. So, just imagine it as trying to finish a 100+ hour game by playing for about 2 hours each day. I'm lucky if I finish in a month.

The hardest part will be trying not to think of ME3 while working on my novel. This is where spoilers come in. If I know what happens ahead of time, then at least it cuts down on some of the need to play until I've seen everything.

Ah yes, now I see why that wouldn't be so cool. I'm the opposite, I tend to forget about how much time has passed and just keep playing and playing...and playing. I should probably be organised and set a time limit on how much I can play a day to fit in homework and everything else but I procrastinate a lot. I'll be like "Yeah, I'll definitely get this done, no worries." Sure, I end up getting it done but sometimes at the last minute which leads to me stressing way too much. I need to be more organised. xD

I'm the same, Purple, so when I have the feeling that our Multiplayer Sessions will go on forever. And ever. And ever. And ever. And ever. And ever. And ever. And ever. And ever. And ever. And ever. Oh, yeah, right. Sorry.

Anyway, the reason I have an extra week to wait on top of the extra two days before release is because I can only get up to Townsville once a fortnight (costs me nearly $100 in fuel alone), and I'm due to head up tomorrow for a training session. And I don't know if EB games will post it down to me. :(

Haha, you may have gotten a bit carried away there but yes, it sounds like our multiplayer sessions will go for a while. That's not necessarily a bad thing though, as long as we have fun that's the main thing.

I hope for your sake that EB games post it down to you! Hopefully if you plead your case they will. (:
I was either going to preorder ME3 from EB games, GAME or Harvey Norman. I ended up going with Harvey Norman because they were the cheapest. The EB games down here had ME3 at $120 just for the standard edition. I ended up getting it for $78. I was thinking about getting the collector's edition but ended up settling for the standard edition which is good enough for me. xD

I've ordered the CE, and my EBGames is doing a midnight opening, so I will be there waiting! I have the next day off so I'll probably not be able to resist popping it in the 360 when I get home that night/morning!

I played three MP sessions last night with a great random group - it's loads of fun when you get the right people!

Can't wait to see Thane!!! Here's hoping to some Thane smexy times!

Oh, great pic! I hadn't seen that one before.

I am ashamed to admit I am torn as to which Shepard to play first. My Shepard that romanced Thane is of course, my favorite, but my Jack one is a close second... at the same time, my first ever playthroughs of ME1 and ME2 were with male Shepards, so I should probably do a femShep first...

So, it was brought to my attention by Cosmo that I have not been on this thread in.... a long time. Months, I believe. Thus, hello!

Only one more week. I will be picking up my Xbox edition at a midnight release but my PC CE will come via mail. Would love to MP with anyone who wants. :) My XBL is Itehate. If you want my origin, just send me a PM.

As to Thane, well I know I for one will be playing sporadically so whom ever finds him first, good luck! I can't wait for that first moment when you hear him again, when you see the interaction. There will be nothing like it.

Its great seeing so many who are interested and looking forward to seeing Thane! The long wait is almost over. XD

Some vague info on what we can expect from the romances in ME3 don't know whether to be worried ( Mac says its not about the outcome but the journey :crying: ) or heartened ( he says there will be roadmaps to happiness being posted on the forums soon enough :wizard: )

I hope there's ways to happiness for all characters... especially Thane:)

He says you can piece together the "roadmaps" from the info you find on the forums, so that sounds like it's us fans who will be doing the posting. You know, like the "keep Thane alive" guide I hope I'll be able to post here. ;)

Also, just had to point out that it would make my MainShep both overjoyed and confused to see Saren's picture under the title of "Roadmaps to Love and Happiness".

Yeah I know he means us fans :D , I'm just glad that he's suggesting it will be possible for 'roadmaps' towards happiness to be posted rather than there being no route to happiness available. I just hope that this includes Thane...

I'm still undecided whether to leave the forums from the 6th and try and find a successful way through Thane's arc or whether to check out his fate. I don't mind being spoiled with good news but bad news could put a big downer on the whole game. I should probably stay away, but do I have the willpower? probably not :/

Yeah, I hope it's possible to have a happy ending with everyone.

I think everyone who posts here will know to label their posts with big spoiler warnings after the game comes out. Even my own "road to happiness" guides with be clearly marked, and I'll be trying to leave out as much actual spoilers as possible. The only ones that will still be in there are details that are absolutely necessary to understand what needs to be done.
