That is a lovely drawing by Angua! *adds to faves*
Welcome back Hainkpe/Mei Mei! It's nice to see so many old fans re-emerging. Makes me think back to the great discussions in this thread and the ME2 Thane thread. Nostalgia.....
This thread needs more Thane and some humor. So here's an amusing comic by theJollity:

Wow 14 hours?? No WAY Thane should be ignored for that long!
I'm still hopeful for a shot at a decent ending - some of the things in the media have been all doom and gloom for Shepard et al. I'm ok with a couple of endings that are nothing but drama, death etc., but I want my choices to matter so I can get something happier! I'm sure I will be on the forums checking out the best way to accomplish that!

Here's to a Thanetastic day!

I think most of us are just waiting for the game now or want to avoid coming to the forums due to spoilers. I just ordered SSX to keep me occupied at least over the weekend before the last horrible 4 days of waiting catch up to me.

Extremly glad I decided to order ME3 in Origin instead, the place I normally order games from have gone into bankruptcy (found out today), so I would probably have been looking at no money AND no game. Thought is horrible. D:

Still can't decide which playthrough to go with first. >.<

Someone over at NSAS linked to a video tour of the Normandy in ME3. Nothing really spoilery, unless you absolutely don't want to see anything before the game is out.

The guy goes into Life Support, which is empty now. It made me sad. D:

Not gonna watch it myself cause I want it to be new to me, but... I can't help but wonder why there's a life support you can enter to begin with. I mean, I thought they were going to rebuild the Normandy alltogether?

Helloooo Thane people c:
I am back from my 9 day vacation. Been busy doing stuff around the house so I can get some serious Mass Effect time and get my Shepard, Skylar updated for Thane!

Anyway, any news on Thane lately? I heard that another update was supposed to come before the release. Or so I was told..

I'm getting jittery about what will happen with Thane. c:

I actually paused the crap out of that video, because I thought I saw someone sitting at the table in life support as the scene switches, like a shadow.

Sadly, it was not to be. But i still kinda see it when not pausing it.

Sigh. I swear this has been the longest week in the history of ever. February has no business having an extra day this year.

EDIT: that's not the same video I saw... hang on, i'll find the one i saw..

...here, this one.

I am still waiting and being hopeful. I do not want to see anything about ME3 except in game. Sadly, my time is very limited now and I won't be able to charge through the game to find Thane. So, I may have to disappear for the duration of my playthrough just so I don't get spoiled. Then again, I am not sure. I really don't mind spoilers but this is Thane. :)

I love this picture that Terra-Mecca-Solace did for me.
This is my Shepard and this is what I'm hoping for in ME3. I also don't mind one of his endings being death. I just don't want it to be the only ending. I'm trying to stay hopeful. Only five more days until we find out what happens to our assasin.

IMPORTANT!

Does anyone have the Art of the Mass Effect Universe Book?

I do, but there's an image I found I wanted to show you guys, but my computer photo booth thing isn't working....

Anyone?

Got it. Very low quality, but got it.

Oh hey, I was going to ninja this in but you guys got to it first XD I'm still glad you like it :3 I tweaked with it a bunch.
I did this in grayscale and as I was doing it, it looked so much like a ralph lauren or Calvin Kleine ad from the future

I found Thane on the Normandy in the Art Book! It's on page 175. There was a pic of Jack someone had found a few days ago, and I hadn't noticed it myself, so I went to go find it myself and I found our favorite Drell, along with Wrex, Garrus, Jack, Kasumi, Mordin and someone in the far back I can't really see, but if I had to guess it would be... *shrugs* no clue. Can't even guess.

Posted Image

I know it's blurry but it's definitely him. How could I not recognize that profile? ^_^ It looks a lot more clear in person.

Here's another one, more zoomed out, sorry about the quality:

Posted Image

From left to right (the reverse of how it is in the book- I had to take the pic using the camera on my computer 'cause I couldn't find my camera charger) it's Jack, Wrex, Garrus, Mordin, (someone random way in the back) Kasumi, then Thane.

The tour of the Normandy. AHHHH what have they done with Samara's quarters they can''t just give them away especially not to that person. They can't treat me like Cr@p and then get Samara's living quarters handed to them. Of all People Samara or Thane? No NO NO This is unacceptable that person can not have Samara or Thane's old room unacceptable. Put them in Zaeed, Kasumi, Grunt, Jacob, or Mordin's old quarters but they can not have Samara's old room damnit. Unless Samara is going to be sharing Sheps room which is not the case that person can not have that room and make it their own I demand they get their sh!t out of there it's my ship and they are disgracing Samara by making her old room theirs.

That Will not fly on MY SHIP!

Finally got my internet working (for more than a minute at a time) and saw this. I just had to have a look, and my thoughts as I watched this video:

"What the BLODIGE HELVEDE have they done to MY SHIP?!?!?!?!?" (<--- This was Margurite speaking, actually. She lives in my head now, and it's getting rather noisy in there lately.)

Margurite is NOT impressed!!! And what business did they have tearing off the panelling in the Loft? I KNOW the walls didn't look like that in ME2! It looks so, so wrong. I miss the tech lab and the armoury (I never liked the design of the ME1 Normandy). The SR2 was a perfectly functional ship, and it didn't need a retrofit.

I am not happy with the redesign. Margurite is outright pIssed Off about it. Personally I think she's just harbouring a grudge over the concussive round to the face during her arrest, and the imprisonment when she had sooo many other things better to do (like spending time with Thane) but she'll never admit that.

I have to admit, when I watched that video, the second the narrator went into LS  and said "and this is where Thane" I smiled. Then I cried because he said "was found in Mass Effect 2" and he wasn't there. :crying:

Back to the Loft though, those fish were SWEET! :)

Interesting find, Asenza! I've got the art book too, but I didn't examine those pictures closely enough yet to notice that the old team was there. I wonder if this was an early concept for the game, or a special mission that brings everyone together again.

This is awesome. Posted Image It gave me a good laugh, the thought of Thane telling me to warn him when he's going to die. (If he's going to die, to be clear. I still don't know myself. But the caption says "when".)

You know. All this talk that's been going on on the forums about the multiple endings? I can't see it as anything but hopeful. If there really are six to seven multiple endings (which sadly hasn't been confirmed, as far as I know), surely there must be one in which Thane survives?

Perhaps this is the inner-optimist speaking, but with all the variables multiple endings offer, I really, really doubt Thane's writer went all "MUAHAHAAA. Screw ALL the Thane-fans!".

(On a similar note, who is Thane's writer?)

Also!

You know, one good thing about the BSN is that it's offered me lots of opportunities to use this gif.

Thane! On the Normandy! Alive! You're gonna get laid, Sulian Shepard! REJOICE.

Yes, I know it's just an artbook page, but shush!

I could not help myself.

Originally I wanted to put in the Thane T-Shirt from the Bioware store, but it's one of those textures that mirror. So I improvised.
