Thane is my favourite character. Ever since the moment I saw him in ME2 I knew he'd be a very interesting character to have on the Normandy. The more I spoke to him, the more I was draw to him...yes I'm feeling poetic haha ;D Anyways, I don't know whether it's his voice, or his personality, but Bioware definitely know how to make a drell hot ;D I mean look at Feron (lair of the shadow broker) Even he would make a great romance, although I don't think Liara would be too happy about that.
Where I'm going with this is that if he dies in ME3, you do NOT want be anywhere near me. But now on more of the serious side. I think that it'd be fair if there was an option to cure him and an option where you don't. It would make everyone happy-those who want him to live will be able to cure him, those who don't can let him die. Problem solved.

I think an option is all most of us in here want. We've never even asked bioware for anything but this. The game will be out in two days so we will find out then. Let's just hope they listen and give us a chance to save our favorite assassin.

Yes I hope so. I mean we know that they've listened to Tali's fans and a couple of other characters, so they should at least give us this option.
Oh and I'd also like to add that the fact that he hasn't been in any of the trailers makes me think...what if Bioware have a surprise for Thane's fans. Maybe he's going to have a similar comeback to Jack's? We'll see. Only 2 days left

Does, however, want Robin Shepard to give Thane a big old hug and get dipsmooched. And possibly adopt a dog and hang out in a tastefully decorated house in the desert somewhere. OR to go out with a big, big bang. Either would work and will probably have me sniffling.

To be honest if Thane would die in the playthrough where he's romanced, I think my Shepard would go out with a big bang, hopefully for a good cause. She already lost Kaidan and survived it, only to fall for Thane who also might die (possibly under her command). I think that'd be too much. As long as the reapers go down with her so.

I am HOPING this will not happen. xD Which reminds me I need to fix my third playthrough just because I'm bored.

That's about my plan for Robin. I'm exactly enough of a classicalist to be a sucker for 'everyone dies heroically' endings. If Thane goes down, I don't plan on her sticking around too long.

Hahahahaha, oh god. Nobody needs to draw something so horrific! I'm imagining babies with drell eyes and green skin. Creeeeepy

Nah but seriously, I'm a bit si and so about kids... I don't think it'd work between different species myself. (Except Asari but those kids are born Asari anyway ) But who knows?

Even so, I don't even think my Shepards would want kids. Possible the close to earth soldier Shepard I got but the other two? Nah, they like their jobs and kids wouldn't fit into it.

With all the crap about to go down in the galaxy there are going to be a lot of orphaned kids out there. Why wouldn't a Shepard who was orphaned/lost their family themselves consider adoption, especially if they are with a LI they can't have kids with.

I think the thing with having biological kids is people have the idea it's some how better and proves a stronger, more loving relationship if their DNA is in their kids.

Sure Shepard and Thane could adopt. No one said that they couldn't, but if it was possible I see nothing wrong with her wanting to have a biological one with him.

There are also a lot of people who have both biological children and adopted children.

If they make it through I've always thought that adopting orphans would be the way Shepard and Thane would go.
I'll be starting ME3 on friday with a Shep who 'cheated' on Kaidan with Thane... she'll never go back.

I'm trying to stay positive about the outcomes as I don't think anyone knows for sure as I believe the leaks were incomplete (I've not read them though).

There was absolutely nothing wrong with what we were talking about. I don't know what the problem was.
It's not like there is anything else to talk about until after the game.

Hello, Thane admirers.

I just want to chime in that I hope our beloved assassin makes it. If not, my Shepard who romanced Thane will probably go out with a bang as well. Actually, if Shepard does end up needing to make a sacrifice for the good of the whole, losing him would make it easier to do. But I hope that's not the case.

Anyway, keeping my fingers crossed! Sending good wishes and good vibes.

I actually wouldn't know what to think of kids. After looking at Lucky Thirteens fanfic, I'm quiet frightened for Lucien.

I know that Shepard would probably never ever be able to have kids with Thane. Still, if Shepard can have kids with Liara, I can still day-dream with Purple about kids with Thane<3

That would be the best, awesomest baby ever!  Yes, Dovahkiin, you and I can still daydream about little cute Thane/Shepard babies.  
And this was a fun discussion, I wasn't taking it seriously. I agree with you Dovahkiin, we'll just put "not serious" quotes around everything we say. Like you said, we're just trying to remain in happy thoughts since there hasn't been many around this thread for a while. Happy thoughts for the win!

I could see my Natalie Shepard adopting kids. She's an Earthborn who always wanted a family, so it makes sense. She might not handle it as well at this point in her life as my Garrusmance Shepard, Kiara, would. A kid? Sure, I think she'd do fine. She'd be one of those really fun parents. But taking care of a baby? She'd need a lot of help. I wonder how much experience Thane has with that, or if Irikah took care of it most of the time.

The Thane thread's been so sad lately. I made Carson get to work on something that might cheer everyone up a little though. It's the next best thing if the plot armor fails.

They might look a little odd but I'm still curious about it.
A picture of Thane, Shepard and kids would be great, but don't forget Kolyat. Shepard is practically his step-mother.

Carson: Oh, I did. And ten angry hanar chased me out of the assassin academy, tentacles flailing.
