I have a Garrus PT I could do as well, but I just don't think I can take all the lack of Thane. Period. I have another 4 Thane romances, but I can't bring myself to do any. Although one is a full on renegade...perhaps she can wreak havoc on the galaxy....

All of mine were Thane.  So, I can either suck it up and cry everytime I've seen what they've done or ignore him completely.  But I know I can't ignore him so I will just not play.  I can take sad but painful I don't like to do.

Sidenote, one of my male friends cried at Thane's death. And that was the SECOND time I'd cried at a video game... The first was Mordin. That was a depressing couple hours in a "I am going to vanguard charge that spaceninja so hard his head explodes." That wasn't even my Thanemancer. Poor Robin is stuck on Mars while I try to get the nerve to send her through that or try Esperanza one more time. Not that it's THAT much better with Esperanza, because Thane and Samara were her most respected friends, and losing Thane sucks irregardless of relationship.

Oh, I've made it through. I'm on number 2 for Esperanza...Though she's also on Mars. Mars is a good place to stall.

For the record, I only cried twice, though my heart went "OW" watching my vanguard, who'd just been pingponging between brutes on hardcore like they were candy, struggling to take down 3 husks. I'm not really the crying sort. But Thane and Mordin did it.

The more I listen to ME2's soundtrack it just feels like ME2 was more epic than ME3. Sure ME3 made me emotional but I wasn't sitting in my seat like I did during the collector base. I always sit in my seat when doing the collector base, even after having replayed it like... 5 times now.

Something went horribly wrong between ME2 and ME3 and the biggest one was the treatment of ME2 LIs. :S

I just don't get the option for NO good ending at all. I have seen VERY few movies and games that actually END that badly. Actually I can't name anyone right now even. Yes, a horror movie actually.

Almost makes me wish that the ME series ended at ME2 instead with the collectors being the most dangerous thing threatening the galaxy. >.>

I would suggest checking out "A Serbian Film", "Salo: the 120 Days of Sodom", "Irreversible", "August Undergrounds Mordum" and so on...those endings will have you feeling like you need a shower...A serbian film in particular has one of the most unsettling, depressing endings in any medium I've ever seen

**SPOILER**
Basically every protagonist gets killed, including the young son involved and the last scene you see is people in the room about to rape the young boys dead body.  the last lines are actually "start with the little one first"...in Irreversible we witness a 20, BRUTAL (and I mean, unreal brutal) rape of Monica Belucci's character, it "ends" (if that's what it is, the movie starts at the end and ends at the beginning before the horror starts, so...) with the woman in a coma without any likelihood of ever waking up without incredible brain damage (during the rape the guy basically bashes her skull open on the pavement).  In Salo, the whole movie consists of middle aged guys bringing young teens and locking them in a house, then spending a month doing everything to can imagine, from brutal torture to forcing them to eat feces.  Then taking them all out back and torturing them to death.  No happy ending, everyone just gets brutalized, one guy gets a saudering iron on his groin..and then it ends.

The depressing stuff is out there if you're willing to seek it out...frankly, I felt like I needed to "wash" the films off after seeing them

I saw "Irriversible", yeah that was a movie that makes you feel emotionally traumatized at the end of it. For a while I thought "Oldboy" and "Audition" were bad...

Today I thought that the ending of ME 3 with Shepard dead is not that bad at all since Shep and Thane will meet on the other side of the sea. But than a silly, stupid though crossed my mind: Irikah is waiting there for Thane, too.
So what now, I wondered. Are Drell allowed to have two women at the same time at this side of the sea? What if not? Poor Shepard or poor Irikah? **big grin for my silly thoughts, please** Frauen [women]

I hate to say it, but I wonder if the main reason this is the message you get from Thane, is because some people who didn't romance him, but kept him alive during the SM, actually MISSED him in their ME3 playthrough.  Regardless of the reason, soooo glad I didn't have that app.  Can't afford to break another phone...(I'm a bit of a klutz).

Thane is an extraordinary Drell - he can handle that.
