I'm at this point where despite being one of the ME3 apologists -- I think beyond glaring weirdness like the total lack of squad/Shepard reaction to Thane's death and the synthesis ending, it was pretty good -- I'm sort of thinking "Maybe I should just take Robin back to 1, do everything, poke around, have her fall for and kill Kaidan again, then send her into 2 so she can go head over heels for the drell.... Instead of sending her into 3 so she can lose him, then fail at suicide because Robin's my destroy girl and not heavily modified..." I actually like most of it. but maybe I'll enjoy it more as an arch instead of jumping into it after having left Robin alone for a bit.

How are you guys handling your second playthroughs? Or not, as the case may be.

Another break, and som more fanfic  banters with Thane and other squadmates a more sadder theme this time though:
Some Thane/Edi (After Legions death)

Edi: I have an inquiry for you Sere Krios.
Thane: You have but to ask Edi.
Edi: You were always civil to me. Even when Legion came aboard the Normandy SR2. You did not fear us or view us with suspicion. This platform whishes to know, why?
Thane: Because there is no need to fear A.I.'s more than organic life. Just because the body of an A.I is not made of flesh and bone does not mean it is not living.
Edi: I do not fully comprehend your reasoning.
Thane: Our bodies are not our true self, the soul is.
Edi: You consider me to have a soul?
Thane: Yes, you and Legion both. Legion's passing to the sea is a memory I will honour.
Edi: Would you do the same for me should this platform ever cease functioning?
Thane: Yes, though I suspect Joker will be even more enclined to do so.
Edi: My hardware does not support a response reflective enough of this platform's wishes. To use a metaphor on an organic saying "Your words increase my PSU temperature" is most accurate.

And here's another Javik/Thane (Assuming Javik looked in the Memory crystal):
Thane: You have been eyeing me constantly the past hour, is something troubling you?
Javik: That which you do not speak of.
Thane: I 'm not sure I follow you.
Javik: You once had a burning vengeance within you.
Thane: Ah, I see, yes I had a long time ago.
Javik: Your..."battlesleep" was broken by...a female of your kind.
Thane: True, she was a vivid person.
Javik: Her death also prompted your path of vengeance, a vengeance you later wished redemption for.
Thane: "He screams. Words of pain reaching my ears. Two pair of eyes conveyeing fear. I show none, only fury for her death as I end his life slowly"
Javik: Vengeance in the name of affection and allies do not need redemption.
Thane: I chose to kill the ones responsible for her death. My redemption lie in making the galaxy a brighter place.
Javik: My vengeance will only stop when the Reapers are gone. And my redemption will be peace.

(I know I use ME2 phrase references aplenty here, but those were good phrases)

Because we all need a laugh.

No Thane sadly, but still funny.

Now, 300 pages cannot go unmarked, so here, have a Thane. We need more Thane on this thread.

So, I guess Thane really was away on business.....

Didn't even finish my first playthrough, and that one was with my Shepard that romanced Jack. Stopped just after Grissom academy, then jumped onto the forums to vent about the romances and the endings and, oh god, the endings, and Thane, and Jacob, and...

I'm mostly spamming multiplayer at the moment. My second playthrough is soon at the end and... well, I just find it best to end it before that.

Also that Mordin "souls" video... it's hilarious. Especielly around 0.06 when Thane struts behind Mordin.

I haven't fired up a second playthrough either - I've been playing multiplayer as well.

I just don't think I can relive the atrocities committed in ME3 to so many characters...I guess one day I'll get there.
For now I'm finishing up two ME2 playthroughs - one Liara/Thane, and one loyal Kaidan. Wish I could dump Kaidan in the hospital in ME3 to hook up with Thane :)

I don't know if they'll ever get an ME3 import but I must finish them - for SCIENCE.

And we hit 300 pages!  Albeit because of our shared depression over ME3 but still!!

We should all Thane-spam that forum for a list of ME3 complaints. Maybe that would accomplish something.

Was thinking the same thing.  We are just a bit more reserved, dignified.....like Thane.

I'm on my fourth play-through. It's hard being a fan of Thane and having to watch him die every-time I repay it. I really like Kaidan and the knowledge that to get him back on the ship you have to finish the Cerberus coup attempt gives me a sad.

on one hand I want Kaidan back in her crew on the other, I will cry like a little girl over Thane dieing again.

btw, the first time I played I was so freaking worried about thane during the whole Cerberus attack. since a lot of it you are running through areas with water running everywhere. it was like, he already said he couldn't breath well! I guess, bioware could have made things worse. they could have had you stumble over him in one of those areas. the first play-through I was terrified that, that is what was going to happen.

I've tried a few times to playthrough ME3 again but can't manage more than a few minutes before losing interest. I'm an avid gamer and have hundreds of hours of ME2 so for a series i love, that's strange for me. Besides feeling a distinct lack of Thane throughout it, it feels like they rushed it.

Yeah I feel the same way - it doesn't seem cohesive to me.  It's like they took separate stories and linked them with the Hackett/Anderson "phone" calls.

I agree
I really do miss having Thane with me.
I miss most of the ME2 characters. The ship just seems so empty without them.

It does feel empty, doesn't it.

And I hate the Zaeed/Kasumi type conversations. I want a proper conversation.

^^^WSS. definately. Very poorly done.

Why do I have visions of a Liara blow up doll sitting under someone's desk.
