Well...he didn't say no. Then again, bw doesn't say much either.

We can always hope, and it doesn't hurt to ask I guess.

Doesn't hurt to ask, but somehow I have a feeling that if he was going to do it, he would have done it already. A thought which makes me very sad. :(

EDIT:

I just asked again. Let's see if he answers this time.

Well, from what I can see, very few people have asked. The worst he can say is no, and he hasn't said that.

Did you see this post a few days back.

I sent a link to this to Patrick Weekes but did not get any response, I thought he should know though.

Having gone through something similiar with Firefly, I can only say, maybe something will come from it. The reality is though, there is no one that loves Thane at Bioware. If there was one we could appeal to them, marshall them, support them to do more with Thane. That's what the fanbase for Joss Whedon did. We proved we supported him. We still do. But who at Bioware is stepping up to say or do that? No one. Instead we get an acknowledgement of the ball being dropped but nothing more.

So where do we go? I liked the facebook page, I joined the fanbook group. I mailed letters. If anyone wants to do bracelets, I will buy one.

We need hope. Something but I am just as all of you are, not sure. I don't know what happened. What is going to happen. Its all just so, FUBAR.

I really really hope he reads it. The writers certainly must not have consulted
with people with CF to see how they would feel about a death such as Thane's in
ME3. I understand that Patrick Weekes was raising awareness for CF which is really great, and his thread was posted 9 months ago so they may not have even really finalised how Thane's story arc would go, but the fact that in the end Thane was so blatantly ignored, is really just insensitive to those who connected with him on such a level <_<

going to check it out.  oh, and just to be clear, i don't fault keyth or jen hale for the problems i had with the voice acting in that scene; i think both are great voice actors, entirely too good at what they do to explain the weirdness of the end result.  i think it has more to do with the script, or that the scene sounds like it was originally longer, or any other number of reasons that boil down to the thane romance getting messed up by bioware.

I agree. it's definitely... choppy. cut up and mashed together in all the wrong places.

also, didn't jennifer hale say in one of her interviews ( I think it was one that Raphael Sbarge put on his blod) that they did "Cold Reading" for this game. That they only got the script in bits and pieces on a screen that day instead of a hardcopy a few weeks in advanced like they did with the other two? That definitely would not have helped matters.

I know. Sometimes I have faith that Bioware will listen to us and fix this mess, but other times (like now) I just lose all hope. They don't care. We already paid for the game. If they're worried about anything, it's about changing the ending. But I think if we do the fanbook and get wristbands and make t-shirts and keep advocating for our lovely drell, maybe it will have an impact.
I'm not going to give up yet.

Yes, don't give up. Truthfully, the game hasn't been out long and we all need to have some patience. They are overwhelmed with feedback at the moment, still processing countless forum posts, tweets and emails.

Give it some time and keep voicing your opinion on Thane. That's the best course of action right now.

Also, I'm going to be throwing together a video where I analyze the Thane experience (I'm not even calling it a romance at this point) and how badly it was done.  Then, I'm going to link it to Bioware like 10 times.

This, don't give up or lose hope. BioWare is a company and a company never act swiftly, they're all slow moving. They're getting bombarded by feedback and rightfully so and keep up the awesome work everyone. Don't let them forget that Thane deserves way better than he got.

Ok, I went and even said Pretty Please (and I don't use those words).  I'm almost afraid of him actually doing it.  What if he does and nails it with such emotion.  I don't know if my heart could take it.

i will definitely cry over that.  :(  and THAT, my friends, will be bittersweet.

anyway, i love the idea of bracelets.  either a simple, inexpensive band, or possibly something more like those acheivement bracelets on deviant art.  i will look for them and post a link.  actually, i like both - a band that is inexpensive and wearable, something that we can easily show off and spread the word, and the nicer bracelet is a nice way of having something personal to us and supporting an artist who makes them as well.

who do ya'll think is the best bioware person to contact with feedback and letters and such?  also, if ya'll haven't heard about the romance survey, please go voice your opinions there as well!  the person who started it clearly plans to submit them all to bioware, and it is a good place for us to state what we would have liked regarding thane and any other romance or romance in the trilogy generally.  it is probably easy enough to find, but i can post a link as well if someone needs it.

I definitely like the idea of the artist-made bracelets. And the cheaper ones. Cosmo, mnomoha and I were just discussing postage and things like that over fb, since for those of us who live in Australasia postage will be a bl00dy nightmare.

There was an idea for t-shirts floating around somewhere too. I think it was here. Has anything happened with that yet.

The company Ive used for the last five years for promotional goods is: http://www.4imprint.com

What I like about the company is you have a set amount of money, you tell them what you want, how much funds you have and they will set up something for you within your budget. And their stuff is nice and good quality. I have ordered bags, pens, pads, notebooks, highlighters and stress balls from them. Never had a bad outcome in the last five years and I would use them in a heart beat for the silicone bracelets.

Yes, indeed, give them some time-and of course, don't stop the feedback, that's key! I think something has been mentioned about giving some answers/decisions in April? Read about it in another thread here earlier, but I can't find it now!:/

As for bracelets...I love the idea and I'd definitely be in for that or T-Shirts or anything else! :) I was thinking, though...how would charm bracelets sound? Would it be doable?

EDIT: Just saw that DA artist's page, as well; she does AMAZING work!:D

Absolutely!  And it will also take development time.  But, we can keep up the pressure, and hope for an announcement that confirms all our wishes!

I'm in for bracelets, garters, necklaces, undies, earrings, shirts, pants, mitts, hats, shoes, necklaces - whatever to support Thane!!

Hehe, I was actually looking at a lovely LotR charm bracelet I ordered via an amazing lady at Livejournal a few months ago; she makes LotR/Harry Potter themed charm bracelets  and jewelry that are just so beautiful, I couldn't resist!! :)Wonder if we can ask her to make Thane ones, too!:D

And indeed, as long as they come out with a proper statement and say they're going to do something, both about the endings and the management of ME2 characters/LIs, who were direly mistreated in their majority, I doubt anyone will mind waiting to see what happens! :)

Oh me too!!  If they told me to stand outside their HQ for a month painted green and doing circus tricks, I'd do it.  As for all the suppot Thane stuff, I might have to draw the line at panties.  My husband still groans over the Bret Michaels ones I have that say, "Property of BMB (Bret Michaels Brand).     Well, they matched the babydoll tee I had that said the same thing.  That's my defense.

Hey guys, lookie:

Vi ‏ @Asenza
@masseffect "adding new content" isn't news! ME3 ended with a plea to forthcoming purchase
DLC! Tell me something I don't know!

Mass Effect ‏ @masseffect
@asenza We are adding new content that is being created specifically to address the passionate outcry of our fans. That is news.

Vi ‏ @Asenza
@masseffect Ending aside,I've been crying out very passionately about the terrible neglect of ME2 LI's(Thane/Jacob esp)new content for them?

Mass Effect ‏ @masseffect
@asenza There will be more information in April!

.... alright, so it isn't a, "Hey, sorry for totally screwing over femShep and all the ME2 LI romancers, especially Thane and Jacob, but it COULD be something, ne?
