That is true, but Grunt is like a big baby. A big dangerous baby though.

I wonder how decisions like that will effect ME3. Will he still be in the tank when the Alliance gets their hands on the Normandy. I hope they don't do to much because I want my ship back.

I'm looking forward to seeing how (or if) they deal with that choice.  It seems a bit unfair that the Alliance have stolen sheps ship, I hope they kept the leather seats for joker.  I've also got one play through where Grunt died ...

note to self ... stop being mean to Grunt :)

Edit: Can someone help me with a nice pic here please :crying:

Thane is amazing in combat. :o (I have only stated a million times that I only used him and Garrus as party members, lol).
Gaider said Thane is a good romance? I missed that! >.< *was away for 2 weeks and leaves again tomorrow for beach holidays*

Thane romance is great , so are his dialogues and his loyalty mission (but that we all already knew)
But sadly for me cause of the damn limited space squad members , I prefer to lose thane jacob zaeed kasumi ...

Well to the people thinking I am out looking for a fight , sadly am not .
I hope they all can be included , but if it makes you feel beter , they probaly axe grunt samara too :(
Those I love , but sadly nothing we can do I still wonder how they going to deal with ME2 saves.
Where you kill all the people like mordin jacob grunt legion etc , and only keep thane and somebody else you like alive XD .

Being honest, Thane himself said he had about 8 months to live. He should spend the final ones with his son not fighting for Shepard.

You might not be out for a fight but I'm not sure of your reasoning, okay so *you'd* prefer to lose Thane and some other squad members, doesn't mean that's what's going to happen.  So I don't see why you're consoling the Thane thread over his limited role in ME3 when you don't know that that's the case.

edit

@T3hAnubis - That's not really what he said, rather he would be 'okay' for the next 8-12 months ie fighting fit.  I'm hoping for treatment/cure anyway... I find the idea that they can't do more for him in a universe where ressurection is possible to be quite ridiculous

edit 2

If I know I'm going to die, I would rather spend my time making sure those last moments aren't also my sons last moments.

That's not what he said. I believe he says he has 8-12 months before the disease startes to effect him not kill him. He never says how long he has before he actually dies. I'm still hoping that bioware allows us to somehow save him.

From what I've heard it doesn't sound like anyone is going to be permanent. Some will be with you longer than others, so you may not need to loose anyone. If  this is true than it doesn't matter how much space they give you because you won't be able to keep any of them with you the entire game.

THIS. It's been said time and time again. That in Me3, the squadmates don't work like they did in Me2. Some people are going to be temporary, other permananet. even the confirmed characters haven't been confirmed to be in the squad no matter what happens. It's supposed to be a war story. You can lose everyone just like you did in the suicide mission if you don't play your cards right.

Also, people who are quoting that he had 8 months to live, should be aborted from this thread with a massive red button. me3 does NOT take place 8 months after me2. We have reason to believe it doesn't take place after 8 WEEKS. IF YOU PLAYED ARRIVAL you would know this. After arrival Shepard is brought back to earth to stand trial. Reapers attack during this.

@Drake_Hound , I'm not trying to start a fight, really - but I am very passionate about this thread and all the people in it. I stalked it for months without making a account, so I know how generally nice and live-and-let-live we are. So I asking, as politely as textually possible; why you are in a thread dedicated to saving thane for Me3 and curing him when you so clearly state that you would prefer him to die / lose him. You not in good company.

The unfortnate reality of the Thane thread is it tends to draw those who want to make two points, Thane needs to die and/or death is part of his "character." Both arguments are full of emotive rather than rational assertions.

Obvious troll is obvious. Let him be.

And back to Thane....

@Sepewrath I think it comes down to how you view mortality. Some would like to spend their last moments with their families. Some would like to do somethin got make a difference in the world, leave it better than they had it. From my perspective, Thane applies himself more to the latter than the former. I think Thane would stay as long as possible to help the galaxy, one last time, before his demise. I love that about this character. He wants to make the galaxy a better place. :D

The reason I brought up Thane's imnenent death wasn't to say he will be dead in Mass Effect 3, it was to note he may want to stay with his son those last moments. Please read the posts before bashing.

^Well from the romance point of view that would totally suck.

Edit: Anyway he says:” Time for me is short Siha but any I have is yours to take.”

I apologize for any rudeness, since I want to prove I can be civil – but I’d like it very much if you researched a bit more before quoting what Thane will do based on your preference for his death. I’m not saying it’s impossible that Thane will never deicide to spend his final moments with his son – but it is unlikely. Romance quote aside, Thane made it very clear that he has skills to take life, he questions his usefulness as a proper father to Koylat. He left him once before for this reason, and we’re pretty confident that by Thane’s logic saving the galaxy is saving his son. Consider. He can talk to Koylat and try to explain and apologize; OR he can “atone” for his many errors in life by risking his life AGAIN, using his skills to “take life” to stop the reapers and give his son a future and the chance to maybe someday be the father he wasn’t.

Now stop asking thane to die and looking for friends in a thread dedicated to save his life. You too, and not in good company. :)

again making assumptions. Did I ever say I wish him dead? Nope. Is this topic only for fans wanting him cured? Nope (read OP and title). I like the character, I'm just objective on his state and probable future.
I would very much welcome he is cured, but I'm logical. It is known that not all squadmates are permanent and the squadmates are working differently from Mass Effect 1 & 2. Thane's health, given the state of the galaxy entering all out war with Reapers and among themselves,
it is very unlikely they will find a cure in time.

Penny for your thoughts....Do you think drell have belly buttons?

I'm asking because It been on my mind whether Dell are Vivipary or Ovoviviparity since they have live births.

@T3hAnubis it's not that not *all* squadmates are permanent - its that *nothing* is permanent.

Cure or not, if Thane is unavoidably incapacitated in ME3 it's going to be a massive downer for a significant number of players. Obviously I want to be able to have him as a squad member for as long as possible but it wouldn't ruin my game if he had a mission that involved him being elsewhere. What would ruin my game would be to have his (or any other main characters) path set in stone, so I hope that's not what happens.

The squad as we know it now has only two characters that I like - Kaidan and Garrus. Liara and Tali are my two least favourite of the main (LI) characters and if I can send them off the Normandy to so something else I will.

@dreman9999 I'd go for yes as ovovivparity would suggest to me multiple births which is not suggested by what we know of Drell... but who knows?

For what.....They eat whole foods at birth...Navels mean breast milk and full teeth and breast don't mix with feeding.
