Thane dies so early in the game. He's the only one that you don't see at the end. You can even talk to Jacob and he dumbed you. You can speak to everyone else , but Thane.

And why the hell did she not tell Kaidan the truth about Thane when he asked her about the rumors? Why is there no option to say straight away that she is is love with this assassin and the Kaidan knows him ‘cause they talked in the hospital? I will never get it why we do not get this option. That’s unfair.
Especially when you see how MShep can react to Ashley accusing him of cheating.
The game forces Shepard to treat Kaidan as more important even if you didn't romance him. There should be an option for Shepard to say how much Thane means to her.
It doesn't have to be true for every Shepard, but the option should be there.
Before ME3, we got the choice in which love interest our Shepards cared most about.

Yes, it would have been nice to see Thane kill KL. I never will understand why this guy had to be in the game (may be just fan service for those who read the books or to make people get interested in the novels).
It was certainly this for me. I luuuuuurved Kai Leng, pre-cereal days. I was super thrilled when I heard he was gonna be in the game. To be completely honest with you, I was hoping for him to be the "Legion" of ME3, the unexpected squadmate. Hey, crazier things have happened.
I never read the leaked script. Here was my reaction to Kai Leng's appearance, illustrated by emoticons, which sadly are much more emotive than my Shepard was:
The Citadel mission made me physically ill. No game has ever done that before, and I've played a lot of disturbing stuff.
Okay, back to happy.

And another thing came to my mind: How does it come that I feel so depressed when I saw Thane fight Kai Leng? At first I had no clue but now I think it is because I still remember him in his best days sending bad guys like Leng with only one hit of his fist to hell and back, but during that scene he is only a shadow of his former self.
Does anyone else here feels depressed or does everybody see only how heroic he is in that scene?
Maybe I am crazy or stupid to feel the way I do. **shrugs shoulders, hoping for some comforting word**

**sarcasm on**But hey, Sihas, maybe we should be glad and thankful: At least they did not make Thane romancable for MaleSheps as they did Kaidan. **sarcasm off**

That fight was just depressing to watch. Even when I hadn't read spoilers, as soon as Thane contacts you during the attack, I knew where it was going
But I still wanted to believe they wouldn't kill him off that way. That there would be an option to save him somehow.
NOPE.
Thane was still amazing during some of that fight and like he said "That assassin should be embarassed. A terminally ill Drell managed to stop him from reaching his target."
I was annoyed that they made him lunge toward a sword though. That was stupid.
I just cannot enjoy that scene at all.Julia_xo wrote...

I just had a discussion in another forum about the reason for Thanes death: Was the reason Kepral's or Kai Leng? What do you think?
The doctor makes it sound like Thane would survive the stab wound if not for the complications due to Kepral's. So it's the disease that ultimately kills him - whether he fights Kai Leng or not. D:
Even if he doesn't fight Kai Leng, he dies of Kepral's.
I just got to that fight a few minutes ago; I have to say, I liked the fight itself-it was so nice to see Thane in action again and, even though I knew what would happen, I caught myself rooting for him!
What bothered me: the fact Shepard and her squad stood by and did nothing, till Thane was stabbed-I tried to rationalise, saying that perhaps the fight was so fast they didn't react in order to avoid shooting at Thane, but as Nerana pointed out to me a few moments ago, there was plenty of reaction time and Thane did throw that Tekken-champion wannabe across the room at some point!:/ And I would have expected Shepard to at least look back at Thane before taking off to catch the assassin...or perhaps a mini-scene of her lingering till medical help had indeed arrived, at least!!:crying:My Shepard wouldn't be able to just walk away!

Medium: Watercolours and gouache
I swear I can't remember how many hours I logged when painting this...
Ivy Shepard and Thane, together, as they should be.
And I usually don't paint backgrounds, but in this case I actually wanted a background that had a little meaning to it. I't s Shepard's Cabin on the Alliance Normandy.
Because that's where Thane should be, not in some godforsaken hospital ridden with Kepral's!
And as a boost to the wristband idea for Thane:

I'll "finish" that detail once the design for the wristbands has been decided
(I hope the colours look ok on your monitors, my scanner isn't top-of the line exactly and I do have a larger version too in case someone wants to look at details)

I just don't understand why Thane was running to meet Shepard in the first place. The whole time I was thinking "No no no pleeeassee don't catch up to us..." See, this is why I don't understand how people think the ending was so great. Was it not completely obvious what was going to happen? They hadn't done anything with Thane, besides a lousy conversation about his disease. So he's obviously very sick, and he's sprinting to catch up with Shepard.
It was brave and heroic on Thane's part. But the death itself was extremely predictable.

Where to start...mmmm....Kai Leng - LAMEST. ASSASSIN. EVER.
I have said it before and I will say it again. Mardi gras mask (I kept expecting him to do something for beads!), Kanye West dress/coat thing (AWFUL), and a katana. Boring.
And he's a crappy fighter to boot.
LOVING all the Thane pics - I too have spent countless hours looking at the thighs, the leather, the chest, the butt...and just standing around until he does his "move"

*wipes drool*
I have been tweeting as well, of course with no response.
As for Jessica, I can't really blame her. Patrick Weekes has 2 twitter accounts - BW and personal. She was probably so overwhelmed and constant feedback really does wear on you. I was never tweeting her anyway - just ME.
But I see lots of Thane support here on the threads, the FB page is growing AND there is support on dA so let's keep up the pressure!
As an aside, was playing ME2 today (for SCIENCE), and almost cried when he called my Shep "siha". GAWD he's awesome.

Now on to the other thing, the Citadel. I started screaming the moment Joker said, "There's an incoming message/call from Thane", I knew where it was going. I cried and yelled when he said he'd try to meet up with me. "Nooooooo, stay where you are, hide under a desk, IDGAF what you do, stay away!!" I cried when he slumped over and I saw the blood and said, "oh you fool, why did you do that, I don't need an effing hero, I need my Thane!!!" Wasn't happy to leave him there, I got smashed by a phantom, three times because I was crying still and wondering why I left him there.
Then to the hospital scene...it was just painful.

Oh there is all kinds of wrong with everything relating to Thane - like a romanced Shep would LEAVE him - WTF? Garrus can handle himself and I left someone to make sure "archangel" survived. Ugh.
And now playing ME2 - I just...can't. I'm not sure if I'll ever make another ME3 PT until things are fixed. Including the bugs (if my Shep has a convo with no one again....)

Yes, they could have handled the rest of it themselves, they are supposed to be competent are they not? Well, then I would not been able to shoot Kaidan myself but I would have treated the one who did like a queen or king. I was watching a friend via Skype during that part, they didn't have Thane alive nor Kirrahe so the Councilor died but when it got to Udina and Kaidan, she couldn't persuade Kaidan to back down and for some reason, maybe she was taking too long trying to convince him, EDI shot Kaidan. EDI for the win...I laughed so hard.
I liked Gibbing Thane in early for Garrus' recruitment. I'd leave Zaeed with Garrus and then squeal, "see ya later suckers, I'm running off with the drell!!" I truly enjoyed that part, running off with Thane to kill things on our own, the good times. I got as far as Samara's recruitment mission today. Stopped before running into Elnora. Just don't have it in me yet to sit down for 12 hours at a time.

But then ME3 came out and.....
Now I just poke fun at the damn "trololol of assassin" called Kai Leng and call him cereal killer instead.
BTW, who wants to join in on poking fun at cereal killer? I have Deception in Rage comic form where it's truly shown what a true cereal killer he is.

Actually, I couldn't help but notice how much KL dresses like Thane. Assassin envy much? And so farking lame. What kind of assassin hides behind a gunship?
A very bad so called assassin. I just found Kai Leng to be a joke, and fighting him was boring.
I noticed hi dressed a little like Thane also. I hope bioware wasn't thinking about making him any kind of replacement for Thane.
