@mnomaha: Oh no, I just randomly chat with various Thane fans every so often. Spammy is probably the most constant one I'd be glad to chat ya up if you want. I use MSN, Googletalk, and Aim ( Trillian) so PM me whichever you prefer and I'll add you.

ugh, i just tried to write something here about how it might be easier to take if he could at least explain himself a bit, tell shepard that he can't hide from his death any longer but he is still devoted to her, instead of giving her the brush-off....

but honestly, when i think about his character, i really believe he would do SOMETHING more when he sees her again besides sit there and say he is having a good end. he would talk to her more, express that he values their relationship, spend time with her on the normandy or outside the hospital, continue to communicate in conversation or letters, something.

Well, I'm still pissed there wasn't a cure. Even if they had done his death better...

Yeah a little more conversation would be nice and I don't count this coming through my Datapad as conversation, "I regret that you have to see me in this condition, Siha. I wish I could be of more help." Nope, still doesn't fit the Thane I left in my cabin in ME2. I would have thought that time would make this better but it does not.

Yeah I really really want at least more conversation. Like, invite him on to the Normandy, or tour his digs, or take a walk on the Presidium or something *sigh*
And the OPTION to talk him into the transplant procedure!

Is there any chance? I hope so. Hope is all I can have, without it I'd be walking away right now and not pestering people with my opinions and "We need a Thane romance fix!" But if they did want to fix it, I'd throw whatever money they wanted at them. I don't know what the selling power of just a Thane DLC is, perhaps those who have to complete everything would buy it, and we all know that we would. Maybe they could throw in some fixes for the other ME2 romances that got shafted, that would probably be enough to justify the cost of doing it.

I think our only chances are if BW decide to fix it recognising it as a issue that needs addressed along with the endings, or if it's an optional side mission  which is part of a larger DLC that will sell well.  We're at the mercy of their good will it seems and I've not been feeling much love from them .

I don't know why they keep ignoring us. All we ever asked for was for an option to save him or prolong his life and a good continuation to his romance. We didn't get any of that. They seem to go out of their way to please other fanbases who have made one demand after another. For some reason they just ignore us.
I thought they like his character. The worked so hard on him, and now the don't seem to care.

I haven't had faith in Bioware since I read the leaked files. I'm trying to have some hope that they might fix it but I just don't know.

Considering the number of Thane related threads flying about, you'd think they'd get the hint!

I'll keep tweeting and posting here, facebook and on my dA page (although I have like 5 followers on dA and most don't play ME).  The petition could be good as well.  Plus that crazy long romance survey.

this.  this is the one thing that probably bothers me more than anything else about the way they handled thane.  grrrrrrr  "we always knew it would come to an end?"  what?  doesn't sound like the drell who wants to be by my shep's side with everything he is, because she gave him hope and purpose and a sense of his own worth simply because she believed in him.

i'm sorry, a drell who makes THAT sound and grips my shep like THAT and says he missed her is not a drell who is content to die in a hospital bed without so much as an "i love you."

This is not the same person from ME2, and who wrote that letter.
