I agree Jecw, not one thing to complain about. *sigh* I wish Thane would have had half that dialogue.

Yeah, one of my friends asked me "what's your beef with ME3" so I told him. We had to quit talking about it before I lost my friend. My daughter, who was at his house, asked me if I was too pissed off for her to come home. Yeah, I'm a bit bitter.

Was he not being understanding or were you getting pissed just talking about it? I'm going through both situations with my friends, it's really annoying when they brand me as being a freak for being so into the relationships within the game (ok branding me as a freak is a bit of an exaggeration, but they are like 'lol i wouldn't go that far...it's a little worrying'). It's more worrying that they are so closed minded about it, like they don't want to seem too romantically attached to characters in video games as it might reflect their lack of romantic action in real life haha (oh god, I'm mean :D).

But the thing is, my guy friends with girlfriends are actually understanding, so I'm probably right. :P

They're lucky they got so much. At least their LI's weren't written completely out of character.

Thane at the end of ME2: Siha, after all the planning I've done preparing for my death, none of it even matters anymore because my love for you has made me appreciate life again.

Thane in ME2: Oh, hey, Siha! Looks like I'll be dieing soon, eh? Maybe I'll see you later if I don't die first. Oh, before you go could you please lunge at me like you want to bite my face off so that we can awkwardly make out in public? Kay, bye... maybe forever! Posted Image

God, what do bioware want us to do to make them notice us? Seriously, this is ridiculous, they can't ignore an entire thread like this. There HAS to be people monitoring these threads right? I mean, even the fact that they are blatantly ignoring the twitter comments that we leave them..

@sunnie...I'm not sure, he could have just been winding me up, but we had to agree to disagree.

@Taavo...I lost some very good spaghetti noodles to that dialogue. LOL

Oh and also, who cares if I'm spamming, that post I made yesterday about the mod/devs posting in threads...I posted it into the Jacob group too. :)

"They're ashamed. They think of all despair they've caused and a chill settles in their gut. And it shames them."
*epic headdesk*

It's early and thus I'm posting non-coherent stuff...

Didn't have a chance to say HI to you sunnie, so HI *waves*, there's your torch and pitcforks and a Thane bandana.

I wonder the same as you since I'm pretty sure the threads are monitored. Why aren't they responding? I have no clue. But i guess it can only mean a good or a bad thing.

Haha :D Hello to you too, and thank you! *grabs items enthusiastically*

I suppose you must be right about them being ashamed. "The measure of a company is difficult to discern by lack of action alone", so maybe they have noticed us and just feel too bad about it all to say anything!

It's obvious to me that they are ashamed in some way after all there have been writers posting in the other threads like Samara's for instance.
Also Patrick Weekes stated he wrote Mordin and also who wrote Garrus.
It would appear that whomever wrote Thane and Jacob does not wish to make themselves known.

Maybe we need to suck up to be super nice to them in order to get a response. I swear someone who posted about thane a while back got some response back that went along the lines of their generic "thanks for the suggestion, we'll make sure to pass it along!", but I can't remember.

Edit: I just found a more recent one:

(Sorry, don't know how to effectively quote twitter posts haha)

@masseffect I would like to learn more about the drell; their history, culture, etc. There should be a Thane DLC.

@lucyvasnormandy Thanks for the suggestion!

That one wasn't sucking up at all and it managed to get a response! MAYBE THERE IS HOPE.

Indeed.  Their relationship went from emotional, sweet and mature to.... whatever the hell that crap was.  The way my Shepard behaved towards Thane made me want to punch a wall.

It also depends on how much time the game devs or whoever want certain characters too have onscreen right? So maybe the writers just had to make do with how much time they were allowed to give Thane.. still, whoever's fault it was, totally underwhelming.

This makes me wonder. Since Chris L'Etoile left after Mass Effect 2 who wrote Thane in Mass Effect 3? Patrick Weekes? Just curious since there seems to be a lot of new writers for the different characters because the original writers have left.

EDIT: Just read the post above and think I got my answer :P

Chris! *glomps*

I really was wondering that. It doesn't seem that anybody really wrote Thane at all, since his appearance was so bloody short.

I was wondering this, too.

HOPEFULLY if they decide to fix this with a DLC/Patch... give him to Patrick or somebody who bloody well knows what they are doing.

K, thanks.

Gosh I miss Chris L'Etoile, the man is all sorts of epic when it comes to writing.

Oh about who wrote Thane,  I might have an idea. It was said that the LotSB letter was written by Jay Watamaniuk. Seems logical to assume that he is also the writer of Thane in ME3. Though don't quote me...since I have no idea if this is 100% true.

Though what I do know is that the LotSB letter writer's girlfriend was all sorts of "baby doe eye" on Thane. Simply put, he was her favourite LI of the series.

Sooo.....another "messed up" post from by part ...... hm, speculations commence?

@Aello89

No idea, I thought it was Patrick that wrote the letter.  At least, that's what I was told.

And yes, I really miss Chris L'Etoile. He created my favorite character in the series.

I wish he hadn't left.  :crying:

I tweeted them not too long ago and they responded to it. It was the tweet about having a glich during Thane's conversation. I posted it on the Protesting Thane's romance thread. It made laugh so much when I saw that I got a response lol

Maybe they broke up and he took it out on Thane in ME3?
