I'm seeing more posts about Thane on twitter :D This is good!

And they are getting responses too!

I tweeted them not too long ago and they responded to it. It was the tweet about having a glich during Thane's conversation. I posted it on the Protesting Thane's romance thread. It made laugh so much when I saw that I got a respond lol:lol:

Hahah that was the tweet I saw, yes :) I would love to know if they are actually passing on the feedback or just saying that to make us happy.. maybe it's best if we don't know -_-

Does anyone know who Thane's writer for ME3 was?

No idea, I thought it was Patrick that wrote the letter.

And yes, I really miss Chris L'Etoile. He created my favorite character in the series.

I wish he hadn't left.  :crying:

Fiery said it was Jay Watamaniuk, if I remember correctly. I'm sure it wasn't Patrick.

L'Etoile did shed some insight on why he left in one of his blogs. Seems that he didn't agree with the way some things were going so.... shore leave, a long one. But again it was a long time since I read the blog and my morning fragile mind may be playing tricks on me.

Hm, that sounds like what happened to all the ME2 LI's in ME3. Then again, if ME3 came out before, I would have "dropped the ball" on his...ass. A big bowling ball.

As I mentioned before, the writer of LotSB was Jay (Fiery once shared this with us on the forum), so I assume he was the one who wrote Thane in ME3 as well. Proof? I have not.

Same here, Aislinn. Same here. The man wrote some of the best parts of these games, and some of my favorite characters. Thane, Ash and Legion. He also wrote the background story related mission "I Remember Me" and some other stuff listed here. He's also written a blog about the Mass Effect universe, which is based on his own personal view of it. I thought it was interesting. Here it is

I remember when Fiery told us who wrote the letter, but he didn't know if he was going to be Thane's writer in ME3.
If he was then I have to wonder what happened. The letter was perfect, but Thane in ME3 was not the Thane from ME2.

OMG "I Remember Me" was one of the most touching scenes in ME I only played colonist once but I will never forget that scene....

And he wrote those hilarious Citadel ads in ME2 (the game shopkeeper was my favorite)  aww why did the guy leave....:crying:

Well right now it seems they didn't just drop the ball on us. They rather dropped the nuke on us and as if that wasn't enough, why not add some lightshow and Barry White while Kaidan prances about like Cassanova "Smooch me Shepard, for I'm the man your man could be *dramatic shower pan", the rest of crew acts like they all suffered from severe dementia including Shepard who wins the award of " I didn't know I was in a relationship".

God what am I writing..

So, yeah I agree with you mnomaha.

Wow, I didn't know he wrote "I Remember Me" and essentially all the Geth development in Mass Effect 2 (including Legion). He also wrote EDI! No wonder I liked those story elements so much.

/sadface

Why for this happen?!  *shakes fist*

Aw poopie, he wrote so much of ME1 and 2! Not to sound like a spoilt  child (actually, to sound like a spoilt child completely), but I want my ME3 the way it was meant to be and NOW. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/pinched.png[/smilie]

Later on this evening, it will be my turn to hit Twitter with my glitch. I have noticed that there are just certain parts of the day that are busier than others and one tends to get buried under the "I lovers yer game so so mush xoxo" tweets.

Yes, it stinks up a storm that Thane's original writer left. If I were him, I'd be cringing right now knowing what they did to something I wrote so beautifully. I am still in complete awe at how they managed to completely botch many aspects of this game. This was supposed to the end of Shepard's story, one would logically assume that this would be the best of the 3, instead we get this....I guess that saying about assuming is correct.

I like how it was said, "if you knew what we have/had planned for ME3 you'd keep your saves forever." Yeah, unless you fix this atrocity that is called Thane's romance, this game will be a frisbee for my dogs.

Ok, this one needs to go meet her daily family goals for Mafia Wars. At least I get to look at a little tiny Thane.

Honestly if they are planning on making it worse, or not doing anything at all, it would be great if they could just tell us and put us out of our misery. If they genuinely ARE thinking about doing ME2 LI dlc, then it would be totally great if they could make an announcement about that as well! I don't understand, do they WANT to lose half their fan base with the game's ending and the ME2 LI business? I don't know anything about PR and damage control and what not, but I honestly don't think they are going about this the right way..

I am waiting for am LI dlc since ME 2 came out. That would be much better than any weapon or outfit dlc. I do not know why BW never thought about it.

One more thing I had been hoping for to get in ME 3 was to go to Kahje. If I remember the codex entry right there are lots of prothean ruins on this planet. So I thought that would be one of the first places to go in the game and find more information, especially when you recruit Javik.
But all we get is a simple war asset saying the Hanar and their best Drell join you (hey, we were told in ME 2 one of their best is Thane but BW simply forgot about him).

making an Li DLC/ Ending DLC would make them earn some points back.  still i see more of an ending dlc coming and some other extra content dlc, and none of them involving romances since they never actually looked interested in the romance discussions. Well who knows maybe they will come read some Thane topics after a good ending DLC?

I would have thought with all the Thane topics floating around on this board that someone would have noticed by now. Even if it were to say, "there are enough of these." Not that I want any of them locked but still, really...do they hate Thane that much? Do we scare them? But I shower daily.

I am afraid if they really would do a romance DLC it would only extend the Kaidan/Ash,Tali, Garrus and Liara romances 'cause their fans are complaining that they their romances had been much too short and underdeveloped.

well of course they want more, they always want more. Still not fair for those who romanced Jacob Thane Miranda or Jack. I romanced garrus 2 times and i actually liked the me3 romance it's fine how it is. Now they just have to fix this Thane mess. ( they will have to give me some thane striptease to make this right)

And some drell licking, please. I would like to watch Shep having halluzinations - I wonder what would she see then.
(I've written a scene about Shep having halluzinations from drell licking which is quite funny;). Maybe I should try to translate it into English for all the Sihas here.)
