Well, I was busy with homework all day, they had a break from me up until now.

I agree completely.  I wish they'd just come out and say something tangible.

It's more like they are saying:

*pat pat*  We know you love Thane, but we aren't going to change anything.  <_<

Exactly.
They care so much they forgot he was an LI and gave him such a bad romance.
If they care about Thane then they will fix the mess they gave us.

Maybe they are stock piling the tweets and are going to make a banner to put next to the other one - and then laugh and point.  :crying:

@utaker - SO fantastic!   Exactly what I needed!  Why wasn't that ACTUAL dialogue?  I love the squee!!!

Silly thread is silly, but why not be heard on a NON-CHARACTER thread:

I replied to a guy who asked why we were unhappy (he genuinely wanted to know as he doesn't know about the horrid ME3 romance) so I explained it to him. I guess that counts as my answer to who my favourite romance was lol

This is the way I will think of Thane and Shepard: together and in love.

That pic is amazing. Thank you for posting it.

It's one of my favorites. The artist also did a really cute father-son art with Thane and Kolyat.

Kolyat looks so surly being hugged by his dad.

Adorable.Posted Image

Here is a haiku I cooked up just now (I was trying to actually make it nice and then it turned into this):

A sexy drell man,
A tantalising zipper,
Take off your clothes, please.

Perfection. :D

Oh god, I wrote 'dead' instead of dad at first. D: What a horrible typo. ME3 has left it's cruel mark on my mind.

@Julia - love the art!  I have a thing for Thane being a dad.  Wish they showed more father/son dynamics.  So much more complex than Squaddie "b" has daddie issues....Posted Image

I posted on that thread as well :D wondered why the OP didn't post it on the character boards *shrug*

That picture of Thane hugging Kolyat is adorable, I would have loved to see more interaction between them. Sometimes I like to imagine how Thane would explain his relationship with Shep to Kolyat, methinks it would be adorable, awkward, and maybe a little angsty ;)

I have a soft spot for him, too! It really bothered me how there was no option to even ask Thane about how things were between him and Kolyat. She shows zero interest in his life! It's all about his death!

My Shepard would have asked if there was an option but (according to BioWare) all ME3Thane is allowed to talk about is his impending death and Kepral's syndrome. D:

Very true
Bioware pretty much gave the people that wanted Thane to die and thought he was defined by his illness exactly what they wanted.

If Bioware intended for Thane to be a rebound/one night stand guy for femshep in ME2 I never caught the hint. He was well developed, interesting, and we only had one conversation about Keprals. It was almost as if Thane didn't want to discuss it; he was only being polite and informing Shepard of his condition. What we had with Thane seemed like a full relationship, they seemed pretty committed to each other from my point of view. They even discussed a vacation after the suicide mission for christ sake!

In my opinion, Thane has the most developed backstory out of all the characters-him having a family at one point, a wife and son. Him being trained at the age of 6 to kill for the hanar. Hell, he was the first drell we ever met. He may have been resigned to death prior to meeting Shep, but he says himself she woke him up. He has so much to live for-his son, his new love in Shep, and following by her side during the mission.

He shouldn't have been Bioware's one trick pony, his potential didn't end after ME2. If anything, his potential as a LI increased.

I couldn't help it. Stupid KL thread cereal thread.

Thane was NOT a one night stand. BitterShep refuses to believe that. They had a deep, soul-bound love.

I just got to Thane's death scene today. I already knew it would be bad but it's even worse when you are playing with your own Shep. I don't even feel like I want to continue the game right now. Posted Image

*hugs Taavo* yeah, Bittershep never finished her playthrough. She heard about it from GarrusShep and is currently tanning on Mars.

Apparently even rebound/one night stands get to say 'I love you' in ME3.. I just watched the FemShep/Traynor romance.. seriously though she has 1 shower with Shep and now it's 'let's get married'. <_<

Traynor says "I love you"? Seriously? Okay that is just ridiculous, the Femshep/Traynor romance is nothing but an awkward to watch fling. It's nowhere near a relationship, it's a "we might die lets screw" one night stand. No one says "I love you" during those. We know Thane felt like it wasn't a one night stand, he told Shep he loves her in his letter. It really needed to be said in-game.

Oh man, you guys, I have just the thing to pick everyone up.

My friend's doing a pic for the Thane fanbook (well for me and the fanbook, she's more a Garrus girl) and it's coming along awesomely. I can't wait till it's finished so everyone can see!

He's going to be on Kahje. I really like the description it had been given in the Codex- such a damn freaking SHAME we didn't get to see it... or Thane, or any other drell in ME3... well this picture should kinda fix that.

Yeah, it does need to be said. Sadly, none of us exist in here. It's really sad and pathetic that bw cannot respond to any of our concerns/issues in this thread. For me, their silence is deafening and will be remembered.

Uhuh. They even talk about getting a house together and having kids. Hello. I wanted to talk about kids with my sexy green drell man, WAS THAT OPTION GIVEN  AT ALL. NO.

Uhg. I hate the way that after Thane dies you get that heart filled letter that says "I love you" even though when you first meet Thane in ME3 he's all like "lol, I guess we always knew I would die anyway. Bye, Siha, probably forever! :P" Why did they write him so out of character?

It's seriously eating away at me.. I was looking forward to ME3 sooo ridiculously much. The endings don't even bother me that much (Indoctrination Theory ftw), and that is something they claim to have genuinely worked hard on, but even after admitting they dropped the ball on thane they can't even throw us a bone. They are probably thinking 'who care's it's only the female fanbase that suffers, and probably about less than a quarter of them as well. They'll get over it eventually'.

Seriously though, does anyone have an estimate of how many female gamers would have romanced him? I was only aware until now that Kaiden was so popular, maybe because I was getting a lot of guy opinions I though everyone hated him. And I've recently noticed the massive garrus romance fanbase.. as much as I ****g love garrus, I can't imagine romancing him.. just too weird physically haha. Thane was the only real option for me the moment I even knew about him being in ME2.
