EDI: Airlock ajar, airlock ajar!!
Thane: Go to the sea (shoves Kaidan out the airlock and into the void)
EDI: We have lost Kaidan.
Thane: Heh, heh, Alenko, in the end, your choices don't matter.

LOL That was excellent, Utaker!! I think Thane would hang out with Javik way too much-the airlock solving all approach...it is contagious!

@Visii It would be silly of them to rub it in, I guess I mean that they are possibly not considering how it will make us feel that closely, so that they are just being thoughtless is my fear.
If they don't fix Thane I'm done with Mass Effect, I trusted the team to create a game that reasonably concluded the story arcs that they asked us to engage with and they failed to deliver big style. Although the ending is pretty lame, I can live with it if there's minor tweaks (the fate of the normandy). I just want an ending where I can imagine something positive going forward for Shepard, not because I want to see her story continued in any way, I'm happy to leave Shepard (living on with Thane) at he end of ME3.

Thank you! I'm guessing most people who insist the scene is epic were too distracted by the flashiness to realize how poorly thought out it is.

Kai Leng is immune to bullets, Shep and squadmates hang back doing nothing even when presented with clear shots at Kai Leng, Thane feels the need to run directly at Kai Leng's sword (despite having a gun), etc. :/

Thane should have just fired his gun and instantly killed Kai Leng before he could turn his head (or while he was on the floor), but that wouldn't be dramatic enough for BioWare.

I think the evidence is becoming clear.....a lot of Michael Bay lovers out there....

Anyhoo - @utaker1988- that dialogue is priceless.  And more than we had in game total, so y'know...

Love the Indiana Jones clip - that is EXACTLY how that fight should have ended.  If not Thane shooting the useless anime SOB, then Shep or Garrus.

You guys are awesome. I've been feeling sad about Thane but visiting this thread (and the protest thread) never fails to make me smile and give me hope.

I think about what Casey Hudson said: "An outpouring of love for Garrus and Tali led to their inclusion as love interests in Mass Effect 2."

I think Thane fans showed an "outpouring of love" when they sent the Cure Thane banner and BioWare seemed to support it by hanging it up in their office and drawing attention to it on their Facebook. They acknowledged the effort but fans still got no choice in the end. Less than that, fans didn't even get a real romance with Thane in ME3 despite the fact that he was created to be a LI to appeal to female gamers.

Now the Thane fanbook is being worked on and I hope it reminds them that we exist and we love Thane's character. Hopefully, they really will consider our feedback this time.

However, if they have no intention of doing anything, I wish they'd just come clean and let us know. It's cruel to let us keep hoping.

I honestly just don't know what they were thinking, if they were thinking at all, in purposely excluding Thane from ME3.

Like I said earlier...somewhere...there is a distinct difference between anticipation and frustration. There was also mention of toilet rolling their hq.
