You know, for some reason... watching my Warrior Angel video makes me feel a little better. Just because I remember how awesome things were in Mass Effect 2.

I was thinking about how they'd go about handling a DLC, as well. Especially within the constraints of an already existing story. I had an idea about how to accomplish it while still giving everyone what they want.

Make a DLC that can stand alone as it's own adventure, regardless of whether Thane himself is involved. A side effect of completing this DLC (if you make the right choices), is the chance to have Thane undergo treatments that would lead to his eventual recovery. The Citadel Coup would still play out in the same manner, except Thane can survive his stab wound.

I actually developed an idea for a DLC that could accomplish this, using already existing plot flags that carry over into the game. They would be utilized in the same manner as the Rannoch or Tuchanka missions, culminating into an important 'persuade'.

Essentially, it would leave the events up to the player through their actions. The main choice in the DLC that allows you to obtain said treatment, would be difficult and ambiguous enough that it wouldn't be blatantly obvious you're letting him die. And regardless of whether Thane is present, it would be a good stand alone story that resulted in other rewards as well.

I thought about typing it all out in a document, but I don't know if people would like it or even listen. Anyways, from my perspective it seems like a good way to handle it.

Extra romance content for Thane would of course be included.

I say type it up, baby!!  Seriously.....I think maybe we should all start thinking of ways they could fix this (and even if this "hurts me") within reason.  Meaning, we work within the confines of what they gave us.  If they are not willing to actually change the endings, then the likelyhood of them changing anything else is pretty slim to none.  We could even start a new thread at somepoint, or a Group that we can direct others to, to add there thoughts, comments, proposals, ect.....  More ideas the better.

I'm with Coldi, I would love to see your write up! I like the idea of Thane being able to survive the encounter with Kai Leng rather than taking it out all together. It would allow players who want Thane's story to go unchanged in ME3 the option to leave the original content alone while providing those of us that want him to survive/be cured options as well.

And of course the continuation of the romance/paramour achievement/new romance content goes without saying.

I would be happy for DLC to include all ME2 squad (the more the merrier) but my priority would be Thane and the other LIs, if all squadmates were included it would cost a lot more to make.

Hell yes to Aislinn idea lol I dont think she ever has a bad one when it comes down to Thane/Femshep. Type tht up hon, it is a great idea. Doesnt take away from all those jerks who want him to die and gives the ones who want him to live the option to save him and possibly have him aboard on the Normandy? Oh please I hope BioWare will listen!

I'm pretty sure we all have ideas for how the story should have been done, and for DLC to fix it. Personally I'm going to keep mine in Invictus for now. Just wish I could get time to WRITE IT! <_<

Maybe drell don't believe in blankets and it would be offensive to give him one. Then he doesn't say anything to Shepard about her blankets because that would be rude.
