Shep:  Pain is only an illusion.  I'll show you true power. (thwack, thwack, thwack)
Thane:  (puts hands out to try to grab the pillow) Shepard, that's me!!
Shep:  Face your annihilation.  My attacks will tear you apart. (kapow, zonk, whap)
Thane:  (resigned)  I give up.  I have fallen.
Shep:  You have only delayed the inevitable.  Releasing control. (collapses) 
Thane:  (picks her up and places her back on the bed) I need to speak to Mordin in the morning.

Shep:  Hey Thane look at what Cerberus got for me!!!  Collector armor!!!!  And a Collector Assault Rifle!!!
Thane:    Mordin, please hurry with that.
Mordin:  Will do Thane.  Looks like time is critical.

Someone else on this thread says they broke off the relationship to see what would happen and that option for "private time" was still there (Thane refused though). I couldn't believe that. It seems so cruel. Hard to believe they would put that there.

I was the one who let curiosity get the better of me..(My guilt-trip lasted for hours after picking it)

The worst part of it was when he said this in response if you say you are still interested in Kaidan:

 "Hearts are fragile things, And even a little confusion can cause permanent damage to you...or......whomever"

Even after Shepard acts like a complete b**** he still cares for her.
The fact that he says "whomever" with a somewhat disgusted tone indicates he's actually a bit jealous.

And then if you ask for "private time" at this point he says this:

"I...don't think that's what you want Shepard even if it seems like a good idea now"

Heck the line:

"I think of us often Siha, but we always knew it would come to an end"

Still plays, adding to the notion that Thane still cares for Shepard.

I officially awarded my Shepard the "Most douchiest character" award  at that point

(Which only lasted for the time it took to reload the save after which cereal killer got the award again)

I guess good job on that convo in regards of making Shepard a complete wh*** and giving the player a guilt-trip
But I can honestly say that I never want to hear it again

LOL...yes, it was my intention to leave Thane naked up in Shep's room.  Lots of Speculations from everyone!    

Now I have the image of Thane sliding into his clothes and other places.  I am now going to be derailed for the rest of the night.  I have been corrupted.  

As for breaking up with Thane.  I'm all for others doing it and reporting back what is said and how it plays out but I couldn't do it.  I just have it in my head, "This is most possibly the worst thing Shep can do to a person."  That ranks right up there with breaking up with Thane in ME2 AFTER the Omega 4 and Collector Base.    Btw, I never did that, I've never picked the option to end it.  Heard it in the sound files and even then it just sounds painful.  Back to ME3, to break up with a man who is that close to death.  Even my Malificent wouldn't do it, call her evil, vengeful, and spiteful she'd cut off her own nose to spite her face but she follows one rule, "Thane has feelings armor."  May he never feel the pain of a broken heart again.

Ahhhhh, the make out scene. No joke......teared up when I saw that gif. Simple reason: between what most of you have already said about the 'before and after' convo's, but also, on the xbox that scene really doesn't look like that to me. Not to mention, da noise....urgh.....

I will say this; @lydlyd I think the "gif" is actually lovely, since it mitigates the before and after, AND the noise. Why can't we have that and MORE!!! And breathe life back into his character, if he was so inclined to revert back to a state BEFORE the romance in ME2........sigh. And remove the brain tumor that bw gave my Shep.....ya know the one that altered her personality beyond recognition. bah.....Too much PDS wine....purple tongue and all......<obligatory swear>

Agreed.  My brain had to come up with some headcanon that happened to them after that makeout scene.  Something meaningful and romantic...

Thank you for the quotes, Emerald. It just breaks my heart. If you break up with him in ME2 he tells Shepard he hopes it doesn't offend her if he carries her in his heart. He really does love her, whether the feeligs are returned or not. I never choose those lines but I've heard the soundfiles. I can't stand to be mean to him. He's been through so much.

It annoys me that BioWare added stuff like that in ME3 but there was no sign of an "I love you, Thane" anywhere.

LOL @ the train conductor.  I know I am just a dirty old woman.  I'm happy with it.    Thane's noise was fine and I could live with that but Shep's.    Even my husband cringed and said, "Did she just have an..... Oh nevermind, I don't want to know."  Yeah, neither do I.
