So, I'm sitting in the Atrium on Daydream (South Molle) Island sipping a hot chocolate and wishing I brought a jacket with me (I'm ****ing freezing!) And guess what, I DID bring Thane with me. He's having a blast!

Here's Thane looking out the ferry window as he's leaving Abel Point Marina, heading out across Milford Sound towards the Island. It's a bit rough out on the water, but he's still enjoying himself.


He's arrived, and having done the arrival tour and checked in to his room, he is looking at the beautiful garden outside his room.


Having finally unpacked his luggage, Thane decides to sit for a bit, and enjoy his new surroundings.


Tired from the day's journey, he decides to go to bed, and thinks of all the exciting things he's going to do tomorrow.


Unfortunately, the second I got here it went overcast and started blowing a gale, so all the exciting things I was going to do today have been cancelled. No jetskiing, or kyaking across the way to the deserted beach I can see from the resturant for me today.

And my lappy battery is about to die, so I'll log off and go find a power point I can plug Alistair into.

Would like to have one for me and my daughter. Is there somewhere a pattern for it available?

No Thane plushie but I did haul my figure to Hampton Beach with me, kept him in my room. I was too afraid if I brought him out to the beach that one of my daughters would decide to bury him in the sand or worse, I'd catch my Thane floating in da ocean. He wasn't alone though, I brought Edge with me. Maybe I'll bring Chris Jericho this year to keep him company. Why not just throw in my Dale Jr. car and they can cruise around too. I just don't want to catch them over at Wally's later on trying to pick up girls. Errr....no. mmmmm....biker bar......

Sigh...I can't wait for the ocean, it is the only place I've ever found true peace. Well, except that time I lost my daughter last year.

I know it isn't much, but I made a mod that replaces Liara in the ME3 flashback scenes with Thane.
I took a nice flycam shot and color-corrected so it fits in with the other scenes.

@Eliza...I know that Hanar05 has a pattern. Not sure if that's where Mythi got hers or not. She's a creative one, so I just never know.

It's just becoming more and more clear that they didn't care. It wasn't that they couldn't do it. They wouldn't do it and they were to lazy to try. I guess they just thought we would think the rest of the game was so great that it wouldn't matter that we couldn't see our LI of choice in the flashbacks.

And little things, like Garrus and Vega's competition, like reuniting Liara with Aethyta and even the sad moments, like Charr's last message to Ereba..........

And then we have parts that just suck, suck long and hard. Thane being killed off, Jacob's betrayal - actually pretty much ANYTHING to do with the ME2 LI's, the ending (Oh Ye Gods that ending). It's like there were two completely different games being made and they just got mushed together. WTH?!

True, and that's another confusing thing...BW extended the release date for Dragon Age with not too much backlash.

If they'd come out and said - "OK, people, we said ME3 would come out on such-and-such but we've had some issues, so in order to make the game as great as you are all hoping for we're gonna need some more time." then I think that people would have accepted that, and been willing to wait a while longer.

But they rushed it, and now the backlash is MASSIVE, and angry, and vocal.

Who in the hell is making these decisions? And what are they on?

This game probably could have used another six months or a year. I would have had no problem waiting.
I don't think anyone would have had a problem with waiting if it a better game.

OMGs yes! That's a fantastic idea! Let's do it!

You guys will not believe it, but we had five, yes FIVE, weddings while I was here, five of which were TODAY. In fact one of the hapy couples is sitting next to me in the Atrium!

Anyway, The weather is still ****** poor and has been the entire weekend, so yesterday Thane and I just spent the day, well, sleeping, since I woke up with a headache and took my meds before it could develope into a full blown migraine. And it was actually raining yesterday, and this morning, so no Whitehaven Beach for Thane or Mum or I. In fact my manta for the entire trip has been "Thank the Gods I'm a Local Girl." Means I can come back whenever I want i feel sorry for the wedding parties, the couple from Korea and the others who had six hour transit times, cause they aren't going to get the chance to come back when the weather's better.

So anyway, the sun came out today for about an hour, just enough time for the jetskies to operate, and to be completely booked out by the time Thane and I found out about them. So we went wandering around the south end of the island, having a drink at the bar with a pool around it, where I had my cocktail for cosmo (it was a Bay Breeze, and it was yummy!) and now sitting in the Atrium being utterly cold again. So, yeah, not the best trip, but Thane got some good photos!

@Eliza and mnomaha: Hana made him for me. I think she made one for Tasha too. Ask her if you want to commission one, see what she says.

And the Milford Sound I'm talking about is the stretch of water between the mainland and the Whitsunday Islands. In Queensland. AUSTRALIA! Approximately 55km SSSE of my back door.

@Aislinn That is just beautiful. Very almost made me cry in a room full of several bridal parties (don't want to know what they would think if that happened, probably that I was an ex-girlfriend or something lol ) I wish I had bought ME3 on PC, just so I could use that mod.

@Ottemis I'll send you Margurite's facecode tomorrow, while I'm waiting for the ferry back to the mainland, k?

And photobucket is taking forever to upload my photos, so I'll post them next time. It's time for dinner now!

@JECW I'll go with whatever everyone thinks is best but I think it would be awesome if it was the same plushie, travelling the world... searching for a cure??? we could maybe have an associated twitter account to post pics and updates. whoever had the plushie could send a pic and update for the account holder to post... I'd be happy to do this

Thanks for the offer Wildannie *huggle* but I've been thinking about making my own, (as well as a Fenris and Valen one, heh)  I've got a lot of spare time on my hands ATM and I'm pretty crafty....Hmmm, will Spotlight be open at 8pm? Doubtful, dang.

Ha, ha, ha - I've got M4 Pt 2 playing right now and all I can hear in the lyrics is "I need you to recover, 'cause I can't make it on my own..." which suits my feelings right now.
