Now I need that, too bad I weren't actually skilled. I'd leave them be and come back in a few months to a tribe of itty bitty drells. Oooooh.... I'd have hours of fun playtime. More fun than I already have with Thane, my wrestling figures, and Darth Maul. Sometimes they have extreme cage matches with Napoleon Dynamite as the ref. Yeah, I have issues and I will be 39 this year.
I was going to end this until I saw something on TV, Fresh Prince of Bel Air...now I need to see Thane do the Carlton.

Due to my last art piece that I produce regarding a no option for Thane, I was hit with an overwhelming response to it and I was convinced to produce a poster to send to Bioware.
I made one which everyone can praticpate in, so please come over to the thread and if ya are interested, send me your personal message! The quicker I can get the poster filled out, the sooner I can send it to Bioware!

I mean OK if for any (stupid for me) reason didnt want him alive in me3 they should at least pay more attention to his relationship with shepard... more options in dialoques,a night with her in Normady...so many things....grrrr Bioware....i keep playing me2 now because my options REALLY COUNTED BACK THEN....
I agee.
This is how most of us feel about what happened to him in ME3. It also doesn't make it easier knowing that a lot of these things happened because Bioware simply forgot that Thane was an LI.

To be entirely fair, Thane being featured heavily in the marketing in ME2 did not necessarily equate to overall plot importance even in that game. And hell, Miranda was right there with him in the ME2 marketing, and she got sidelined too for ME3.
BioWare's LIs are certainly not created equal in terms of dialogue and plot importance, but in the Dragon Age franchise, that doesn't screw out the less plot-important LIs. Zevran, for example, has fewer conversations than Alistair and is minimally involved in the overall plot, but his character arc and romance are still well-developed. Would've been nice to see the same approach for ME3.

No one on your crew in ME3 was plot important either. Not even Liara was that important. They pretty much sidelined the ME2 squad for nothing really.

The VS was involved in the Citadel coup arc, and considering Liara's the one who discovers the Crucible plans, I'd say she plays a key role in the plot. EDI is used to give insight into Cerberus and to highlight the tensions between organics and synthetics which are a fairly important theme in ME (until the endings of fail, that is).
But my point was that REGARDLESS of the relative plot involvement of the NPCs, each CHARACTER's individual arc should at least be given its due.

Welcome to the club, my dear! What they did with Thane in ME3 was so bad I can't put into words without getting banned, probably!
They handled the romance in one of the worst ways possible and that, because someone somewhere along the line-Ok, a few someones, more likely- forgot Thane was a LI...believe it or not and I still get so annoyed when I remember that!!*Hmfs*
And welcome back, Moira!
thanks hilisome, glad to be back
and welcome siha13, you can believe that everybody here is understandig you. what happened to thane in me3 was aweful. i really really missed his sensible kind and how he deals with shepard T_T

no one in me3 had the same gameplay as thane. And as for Miranda , after her death he shared a tear for gods shake!!And hugged her.I mean with Thane she didnt even kiss him or touched him.She just closed his eyes and left...like nothing happened!!!
Welcome to the thread, Siha13!
I share your disappointment. Miranda and Shepard (if romanced) say they love each other when she dies. They even share one final kiss and Shep holds her. During Thane's death Shepard just stands there like a stone, recites a generic prayer (generic because it's recited whether you romanced Thane or not). Shepard only touches him when he's already dead - to close his eyes I guess. There's nothing unique to the scene for those who romanced him aside from the "Siha" reference and a single line.
Shepard shows no emotion and she doesn't even tell Thane she loves him. It was so hollow and awful. They even cut recorded dialogue from the scene as if it wasn't short and impersonal enough.
Here is a link to hear the extended death scene, if you want to listen.
I can't understand why Thane's line "Your memory is not like ours, but perhaps you can hold me in it for a little while" was cut. It makes me so sad.
Especially since no one does remember him.

Also, there's a new Thane Project in the works - the plushie journey. In which, plushie Thane travels to fans around the world with his final destination being BioWare HQ. He's still searching for that cure. *hinthintBioWare*

I probably should have mentioned that... no, I didn't make them. I unfortunately lack the patience and skill. They were made by eitanya on deviantart

Awwwwwww.
All these plushies I've been seeing are ridiculously cute. She even made a few other characters (like Garrus).
For something that unexpectedly made me laugh: Thane is a selfish teammate
Maybe I just have a weird sense of humor but when the little popup box appears at 2:25 with the words: 'Thane where are you? Help me!' while Shep is hanging off the side of the ship I just crack up. You know Thane is back there somewhere chillin' while Joker tries (unsuccessfully) to haul Shep inside. Also, it's interesting that this person used Thane as the Second Fire Team Leader and he survived! I didn't think that was possible. I always kept him close to Shep during the SM to avoid getting him killed.

Your response to that guy who said something about us needing to wake up to the "cold hard truth" was epic. As if we need a game to remind us how difficult real life can be? <_< Many of us have suffered loss. May 26th will be the one year anniversary of my mom's death.
Most people play games for FUN and/or to forget their problems. I know I do. I certainly don't play to be depressed or to feel helpless.
