Yay! I has internets again.... for now. So hi everyone! Let's see what I missed.

...

utaker, how did I know it would be you. Bwahahahahahaha! Gods, woman, I loves ya. I really do! And that "Epic Dancing" screenie? My new desktop! For now. will probably go back to that one that xenofire made for me soon, because knowing where it came from will make me depressed, but for now, so funny! I'm also resisting the temptation to scroll back up this page and read your dialogues again, because I'd never get this post done otherwise. :D

I have been cleaning out my office so I can get my new gaming system set up... and I can reinstall DA:O, DA2, ME1 &2 (I really want to do a complete Margurite pt, so just those two. 3 hasn't come out yet!) and yes, I've been intrigued by this NWN you guys keep mentioning, so i'm going to buy it asa I see a copy. Probably off ebay. :S Oh, and I'm definitely a fan of the nakkid Zevran, ZRL, Fade Skip, and armour mods for DA:O, and I can't wait to start modding the **** out of DA2.

I've also been writing the intro essay. Yes, still going. Realised some of it needed to be rewritten. Still, I'm making progress. Intro has reached the point where I'm the least disgusted with it, and just got the Unloyal ME2 section drafted. Oh, and Emerald, that PM is helping A LOT! Thank you.

Also, all of you, thank you for putting up with me while I've been writing this. I have to say, it is the hardest thing I have ever written. Really. It's why it's taking me so long, and why I've been asking for so much help. I'll post more of it as I go. In the meantime, here's the finalised intro. This will hopefully be the tone for the rest. You don't have to read it if you don't want. :)

@Moira. A scientific essay? That's a brilliant idea. I'll read it now. :)

Thane Fanbook Introduction Essay (need new title!)

Introduction

“An assassin? You’ve got to be ****ing kidding me! How many people does the Illusive Man think I need?”

“Would I even be able to use him? Assassins aren’t exactly the most social of individuals, or the most stable. Am I going to have another Jack or Grunt on my hands? Is he going to be another sociopath I have to keep a tight leash on?”

“You say you want this Nassana dead, yet you’re just giving me this information? You’re not worried that I might try to stop him?”

“Nassana ordered the mercs to just start shooting? I guess that must mean she knows he’s coming. Pity. Looks like I’ll have to help keep him alive.”

“What the hell?! You arrogant ass! Drop a body on me, indeed. I swear, if I didn’t need you…”

“Another group of workers? What is he doing? What point could there be in a cold-blooded killer saving civilians?”

“More mercs? Really, Nassana, is this one lone assassin really enough to warrant this much security, or are you just that paranoid?”

“Name my price? Ah yes, I remember you now, you self-absorbed, hate-filled ****. Of course you think you can buy me off. Money solves everything for you, doesn’t it? You’re entire life has ridden on a tide of credits, buying you a way out of anything. Well, not this time, Nassana. Not this time.”

A rumble in the vents, a man drops to the floor; three guards are down within seconds. A gun taken from the enemy is pressed into the criminal’s stomach. He fires, the shot silenced by the woman’s flesh as he cradles her against his chest. Gently he lays her across her desk, reverently placing her arms across her chest as she chokes on her final breath.

The sun rises over the horizon. Pale morning light filters through old-fashioned blinds, turning bright summer-green scales a deep golden-brown. He bows his head, his hands clasped in prayer, and whispers words over the laid-out corpse.

A statement is made, a question asked. An answer: “Not for her. For me.”

And thus the world was introduced to Thane Krios…

A little poem to BioWare for hurting all my feels...

Why? Oh why?
I sit here and cry whilst I slowly die.
Feeling blue and no so chipper,
I didn't get to see beyond that zipper.
I cannot rest until
I've seen that marvelous chest.
My heart and soul, fragile as glass
Broke from being robbed of that glorious green ass.
BioWare you truly burned some bridges
By denying me my ridges.

At least he said no no Cosmo <3 I really try to get myself up and get something positive out of this. We still have the chance - and to be honest: time doesn't really matter for me here, even I really want this thing NOW! :crying:

So they have the DLC planned out for this year. Doesn't really make me happy either.

<3<3 that poem deserves 1st prize!

*about the dlc* I don't think they could make anything good with what's left of this year anyway. Let them do something for next year that makes us happy again. If we know one thing it's that when they rush to do stuff it sucks real bad..hopefully they'll really think on it and take our thoughts and ideas into the whole thing..they better..because obviously they don't know what their consumers want. It's not a door slammed in our faces yet so I'm viewing it as a good sign :)

I'm not impressed either because time is not something that is in our favor. Next year, ok when people have moved on and forgotten about ME3. Yes, they are hoping we go away. I hope they realize that it won't be just me walking away, it will be my money too. Which is a problem right there. If people throw up their hands in disgust at any DLC they provide this year and they don't make enough on it, they certainly will not be motivated to do anymore DLC. Damned if you spend your money and damned if you don't. I say keep fighting, we have nothing to lose. We may have nothing to gain but I'm going to make darn sure they don't get that sigh of relief that comes with knowing I bent over.  At least it wasn't a flat out..NO..NEVER...DEAL WITH IT.  That is still a little ray of sunshine.  Ok, more months of hounding them about Thane.  I can do that.

No,  I will not bend over for BioWare but for Thane...not only will I bend over but I will put up a sign that says, "Open All Night."

Exacly.
That really isn't great news.
Next year is far away, and we don't know when next year. It could be the end of next year, and we all may not be here by then.
I think they are hoping that we move on and go away.

It's not the best but it could be worse... I think they probably knew roughly what they had planned for this year before release... probably just EC and and Omega.  I won't be buying anything though.

Why didn't they just say this to begin with. I don't see anything good about what he said. Next year is a long time from now. How many of us will still be here next year. We are suppose to wait until then and they still may not give us what we want. While everyone else gets what they want we get nothing because Thane will be dead in these DLC's they have planned. They still haven't given us any real hope.

No, they haven't given us any real hope, but they haven't said no yet. All we can do is fight like hell and do our best to change their minds. We might have to wait until next year to get the DLC, but the time to convince that it will be worthwhile is now. We need to keep Thane on their minds in the hope that they will think of him when it is time for a new DLC concept. We might have to wait a while, but it's not time to give up yet! I'm not going to give up easily.

Neither am I. (Giving up that is)

We need to stay loud and not let them forget about us.

And even though "one year" is disheartening, DLC planning does take time, there was a plan from the start which the EC has actually altered, now that I think on it, the one year period makes somewhat sense, they have to write up all kinds of contracts, employments and other legal mumbo-jumbo before they can sufficintely plan anything.

And if they planned for an Omega DLC even before the release of Mass Effect 3, then chances are that that is what they are working on right now (besides the EC).

(I'm also guessing that the MP DLC is developed seperately from SP DLC)

Oh I didn't mean to imply that anyone was giving up, I basically just meant that there is still some hope.  I'm just rubbish at explaining things.  I should probably just go back to lurking...

Don't worry.
I know you were not implying that anyone was. I was just saying that we are not giving up even though bioware may want us to.

BioWare are aware that we are women, right? They do know that we don't forget or give up easily, it is our nature to be persistent. I'm sure they'd swap the word persistent with annoying.

They do know. At least I hope they do.
They just think if they keep ignoring us we will get tired and eventually move on.

I also get the distinct impression that they were always working on EC for the endings.  I'm sure they knew it wasn't going to go over well....

I don't plan on giving up either, but when your "share of wallet" starts to dwindle, and if the EC doesn't "fix" it for the majority, I don't see them being able to launch all kinds of DLC as no one will be playing/caring about ME3!

That being said, I'm on board the Thane train!  Posted Image

I don't know if you guys can see my tweets... Well I keep tweeting lol.
About not loosing hope about future Thane content, mine will stay alive and kicking.
About keeping faith in the teams about aknowledging us...I don't know.
But what ever happen I will keep speaking of Thane Krios and not allowing to be ignored as he had been after his death in game.
I 'm not someone patient most of the time but for the important things I'm able to wait for ever.
or maybe am I just stupid I don't know ^^. Or stubborn. Or Adrellicted to the drelliscious Thane ...
Sorry I'm some silly I just try to keep drama away for tonight i'm tired.
