yeah, that irritated me too. Kaidan is...efficient? huh? something like that anyways. This game was supposed to be about choices yet bioware was clearly making their favourites known. Too bad I like original mature characters.

So what was Liara really implying with that comment on Mars? I should run for him, he's a great catch? He was a complete dumbazz before? Does she want him? For that last one, I say go for it. I'd personally push Liara and Kaidan together. That way maybe they'd be so busy embracing eternity that they'd leave me alone to wallow in misery in Life Support. Yes that would be perfect.

I'd have Joker and EDI together, Ken and Gabby, Garrus and Tali, Liara and Kaidan, Steve and Engineer Adams, James and Allers, Traynor and Chakwas...oh yes, the love boat. And Shep is all alone with her fingers and memories of Thane. She will be in her bed, licking the sheets where he once laid his nakedness. Or dry humping the cot in Life Support... or both. Where Javik can walk in and see the great Commander Shepard, licking sheets, clicking her mouse and decide to end her misery and toss her out the airlock.

Thane-Fanbook inspired co-opped Casual outfits Project for ME2 and ME3 (demo) between Lucky Thirteen and myself.

These can be used by those not overly apt at creating zhe arts for the Fanbook (or for the lols ofc), deadline is the 30th this month.

Most of these texmods are for ME2.
For those playing on a console with a viable PC, we've included an ME3 adjusted version of the hoodie that works on the full game and the DEMO.
For those that don't own a viable PC, we're offering to make screenshots for XBOX/PS3 players this weekend if they supply us with a ME2 Headmorph/savefile OR an ME3 facecode.
Send either me or Lucky Thirte­en a message over the BSN, and let us know which outfit you want your Shepard to wear (and where?) plus post us a download-link to the needed files and supply us with a possible slogan.

I agree. If Liara wants Kaidan she can have him, but don't try to push my Shepard towards him.
I think those pairings you have are about right.
Unfortunatly Thane's cot is gone in ME3. If they walked in on her licking the sheets they might try to commit Shepard to an institution.

As for her comment on mars, for me it was something like this "The Lt Commander has become... capable" and it was about Ashley, and given my Shep ran over to Liara when she rolled out of the vents like some horny as hell school kid, (which p!ssed me off I'd dumper her long time ago many times in ME2), after that first horny as hell school boy thing I chose to pick a renegade comment whenever I talked with Liara on Mars and most all the other times.

Liara got kinda b!tchy when I chose some of the renegade options on mars, like not saying "I think of those I love" or whatever it is that prompt more touchy feely crap from both Liara and Shep.

I can't remember what the renegade option is at that moment at Mars but Laria quickly looks away and says one of her b!tchy comments like she's p!ssed because she wants Shep and Shep don't want her.

Anyway when she said the thing about Ashley it was very backward because when Ashley went to leave the room Liara turned her head and watched (so did my Shep) and the camera angle did an almost Miranda style buttshot with Ashley that implied both Liara and Shep where watching her @ss.

When Liara made that comment I was like WTF? Liara now that Ashley got massive silicone and extensive makeovers you are afraid I'm gonna bang her over you? Or do you want to bang her?

Then I thought to myself, too bad they didn't keep Ashley's look the same, I maybe would have jumped on her if things go as sh!tty with Samara as the leaked scripts implied. By the time I got close to the finale push I had been beaten down and Liara kept trying to bang my Shep, so I just hooked up with Ashley to see how Liara reacted.

I'll never forget her Zaeed style response "Shepard I heard about you and Ms. Williams, I .. I.. whatever I don't have the time for these childish things. I hope she can provide you happiness"

It was so snide and the childish part was golden given she'd been attempting so hard to get my Shep to bang her and let her rape him.

ACK!! Admittedly not Thane related (sorry my oh-so lovely Drell *kiss*), but I have a problem with my current DAO play through........that has been suckin' the hours away for the past two days. I went through the landsmeet, and everything was going as planned. Wrapped up a few things around the map, and headed off to RedCliff. I am now getting mixed dialogues. I suppose I should give you the stats first. My plan was the following:

1) Made a f!Amell mage and got together with Alistair (trust me.....had a hard time keeping my hands off of a certain elf, but I was trying for an ending I have never had before).

2) Did NOT harden Alistair.

3) Agreed to support Anora

4) Asked Alistair if he could get out of being king, and he said he never wanted it. Then told him I was going to back Anora, and he seemed relieved.

5) Got the Landsmeet to back me.

6) Had Alistair duel Loghain (obviously, Loghain was killed)

7) When asked to choose the ruler, I publicly backed Anora, and Alistair happily gave up his birthright.

8) The idea, of course, is to have my mage!warden head off into the sunset with Alistair; both choosing the Warden path, while Anora rules Ferelden.

Here is what has gone wrong so far:

1) Got to Redcliff, killed darkspawns then headed into the castle. Anora wasn't there, and I started hearing the all to familiar sounds of Alistair "taking charge" (as if he is king). I ignore it, and continue playing, but as I get to the Dark Ritual part, he even calls himself King....GAH! *Bonk very large Butterfly Sword over stupid Ali's head...BONK!* Because at this point everything is practically a dialogue option or cutscene, I just let it continue. Sure enough, as soon as we get to just outside of Denerim to start the final push, blond blockhead gets up to make a speech; his "I am King, and I will rally all ya'lls!". *THUNK!*

So, I have two saves that I can use to go back a bit. I load up the one that has the least amount to due over, and now, I am getting a weird mix of both "Anora is Queen", and "Look at me, I'm King".

Any help from you wise, wise Drell-lickers, would be much appreciated...........

That same thing happened to me only with Kaidan. It really pissed me off too. It happened with the Shepard that left Kaidan for Thane. I couldn't believe it when I saw it, so I had to reaload to make sure this is what I saw. Shepard should have been thinking about where Thane was not looking all goofy at Kaidan. I was locked into my romnace with Thane. He was the one I chose. Then in ME3 she sees Kaidan and is ready to jump him. I think that bothered me more than Liara's comment about him becoming capable.

I also noticed how Shepard went over to Liara with a big smile on his/her face. I thought that was out of place. Not every Shepard is happy to see Liara.

Bleh......finally found the answer to my DAO querry (why are these things so hard to look up....ugh). Yup, known bug (have no idea if it makes the rest of the game faulty, but the Codex entry for this play through DOES read correctly. So here is hoping it works once I import into Awakenings and DA2......pppppppbbbbbtttttsss!

That really is odd Coldi, I wish I could help but I couldn't keep my grubby hands off Zevran. I've gotten Anora and Alistair to marry, gotten just Ali as King and even trolled him by allowing Loghead to become a warden...yeah, that went well, Al ended up a drunken fool according the epilogue. I couldn't romance him, heck I'd troll him on purpose just to see his kicked puppy eyes after dumping him. That I would push as far as I could until Zevran interjected and I had to choose.

Back to Liara...no not every Shepard is happy to see her. Mine weren't. I think I had Allison Shepard for this one but I gibbed in Liara as a romance for ME1, had her get all excited when we saw each other on Illium. Asked her about Thane and then later on laughed when I did LotSB and brought Liara and Thane along. Didn't laugh when she made that rude comment but just knowing that Liara gave me the info to find him and now here is my Shep with him. LOL Liara, my Shep is cruel. I could feel the uncomfortable vibe in the air. Just like my Sheploo that did romance Liara, then Jack and then brings Jack along for the Shadow Broker. My Sheps are real jerks sometimes. Some of them deserve the ending of Mass Effect 3.

Thanks Utaker.......I've played this game so many times, and this was one of those endings I had never gotten/gone for. Turns out there is a good reason for it.....I'm pyschic!

Unfortunately, it's simply a glitch on the XBox. So now I am trying to figure out if I am just going to finish as is, and deal with whatever it gives me, or go back to the Landsmeet, and do something else. Hell, if I end up doing that, then Alistair is going to the curb; I'll grab me a bit of elf fun. Poor Ali......that's what happens when you get your lily-white arse 'bugged'.

But as a male Shepard, who had Thane as one of his best friends. I personally really liked what they did with him. It made since that you wouldn't be fighting alongside you & atleast he went out like a hero. Hell, his death scene almost put me into tears.

But they really should have had atleast one special scene for those who romanced Thane & had a different reaction for his death scene for the poor FemSheps.

i guess for a friend it's quite alright how it went out with thane, my friend as garrusmancer said that for it was alright anyway, she loved the prayer etc. and even if she would love to have him by her side, she said, she could deal with it, but she also admits, that she can imagine it was quite bad for  romancers.

i have to admit, i played my thane bff before the romance, just wanna know how it end and then "enjoy" the run with thane...well bad idea at the end...but even for me (but i guess, this is just because i had a crush on thane) it was unsatisfied.

I was thinking.

I may not be as a big fan of Thane, as I am with the Krogans & Zaeed. But, when I saw Grunt in ME3, that Last Stand of his was EPIC!

I mean, I didn't want to see him die. I used Grunt and Zaeed on a whole entire playthrough in ME2. So though I guess I can see how you all feel when Thane was taken away. I'd be pissed, if they killed off my homey Wrex,Grunt,Wreav, or Zaeed.

Back in ME1, Wrex, Garrus and I were ridden the Galaxy from Saren. , then in ME2, Grunt and Zaeed carried the Torch,..........but to have them all killed......

well, all I can say is, hope things work out, I would like to have Thane back in my Squad. Shoot a DLC on the Genesis of Thane Krios be great. I'd buy it.

@Coldi...late to the party, but I've heard of that bug. I've got like one Alistair Warden, the rest will always belong to Zevran. Who could resist those ears, his accent and his undying perversion? LOL Not me!

@utaker...yeah, Liara can act like such a spoiled brat. And that's from someone who's Shep never even romanced her.

@DeadlPoolBub...thanks for the support! If they had made the effort with something like that, we would be less inclined to complain. But they really did screw Thane's character over.

@Seifer...I love Grunt! He's my baby Krogan. I loved his badass stand with the Rachni. I about had heart failure but then he came out all...hungry. LOL That's my boy!

Thank you deadpool. It is nice to see a fellow gamer acknowledge that the different relationships and character arcs should have had different content.... or content period.

I personally found Thane's content in ME3 to be suitable for someone who didn't really have much of a friendship for him, but who did have a bit of a relationship with him that wasn't renegade based. or maybe even one who was renegade based. I think Thane would eventually begin to respect a renegade shepard after the SM.

Our biggest fear from long ago was that if he had to die was that everyone would forget him. And what happened? Everyone forgot him, he got his name on the Death Wall but not one person mentions him to Shepard. I hate having this in my head but having two pre-teen girls, I have heard my fair share of the Twilight movies. Everytime I am reminded that no one remembers Thane, I hear Edward's voice in my head, "It will be as if I never existed." I also hear, "it seems there will be no one to mourn me when I die."

You know now that I think of it, if the developers and writers want the cheapest way possible to fix Thane all they have to do is write a message to Shep and send it to her private terminal.

After you left my dad's room, the doctors came in and informed me that he was not dead. Not literally, at least, he still had brain activity. Although I know he'd be upset with me, I decided to keep him alive because I got information that the Hanar are indeed close to a treatment, it could be days or a few weeks. He can't have any visitors yet but I will contact you as soon as I can.

Then the main plot or dialogue doesn't have to be fixed at all, let it all play out as it stands. A DLC would fit perfectly because then it would be no different than LotSB, just an add on that changed nothing in the main plot.

That  would do!! And the artistic integrity issue   would not be  touched since  technically  nothing  change except the  mail. At last we could end the game thinking; ok  shepard survived in the  rumbles, she will  heal and   find a way to travel to him (the time to healing plus time the  galaxies fix  some relays  and she  would be around  right in time for his   awakening from coma. 
So  when do we  start to do this?

It would have been the easiest thing in the world to implement  a higher "will to live" with a romanced Thane, and keep him alive for those Sheps only. It works for Steve, I don't see why it couldn't have worked for Thane.

That said, he did go out like a badass, didn't he?

 Liara and Kaidan together..seems about right to me. (I can't help but crack up whenever I hear shepard call Kaidan her "brother" at that cafe..it reminds me of that movie Tropic Thunder where ben stillers character is trying to cry)
Also a bit unrealted I was watching Defying Gravity the other day and saw Laura Harris on there..if you paint her blue she looks exactly like Liara..kind of creepy.

Do you think they know they screwed over the female fanbase and don't care? Or is it honestly good for them? If the latter then that's just sad

There are so many ways they can fix Thane's situation I just wish they would acknowledge it. It needs fixing!! 

@gears I don't understand why people feel the need to pm you crap like that. What business is it of theirs that you don't want Liara? Why can't people just understand that we all have our own opinions and likes and if that doesn't fit with theirs who cares? Leave us alone and let us express ourselves..we're not telling you who to like.
