Ironically (Hopefully I don't offend anyway by stating this) I'm finding that females who play as a lesbian FemShep prefer Samara far more than Liara. In fact I've also discovered that many would also prefer Ashley and Kelly over Liara. Hmm not looking to good there. Sure there are a good number that prefer or go with Liara but I've discovered that a great number would rather have any of the aforementioned characters over Liara.
@Utaker am I going to regret downloading those things you posted? I mean it's not a video clip with ballgags, handcuffs, whips, and other stuff like that?
@TehPrincessJ who went out like a bad@ss? Steve or Thane? I felt that neither went out in a glorious grand bad@ss sort of way.
Mordin went out in a grand way, Legion went out in a grand way, hell even Miranda if she dies on scatury goes out in a grand way fighting for something that had been building since ME2, and goes out attempting to stop her madman dad.
Hell Wrex if you side with the Salarian Dalatrass goes out in a grand way, fighting Shep for the betrayal of their friendship and backstabbing the Krogan, Wrex goes out bad@ss.
Hell I felt Kirrahe went out in much more of a bad@ss way in Thane's place, because it was for a cause that felt like something he'd sacrifice himself for.
Thane didn't do that it felt odd and wrong, Hell Thane taking a bullet and dying protecting Shepard is far more genuine and bad@ss, no mater if it's a friend DudeShep or a LI FemShep. Dying for the Salarian Councilor just don't fit Thane.
On another Thane death thing, when he died the pistol he had was a Phalanx, same pistol Samara attempts to kill herself with, same pistol Udina pulls before ya kill him.
When Ashley/Kaidan gets killed they use a different pistol but I'm not sure which one, maybe Predator or Carnafax HandCannon.
Anyway I noticed that those two pistols are what everyone of your friends in ME3 who dies has with 'em when they die. Those two pistols are cursed they're jinxed no one in my squad should EVER USE them. It's a shame too because the Phalanx is my favorite pistol. But just like the yellow lighter it's a death sentence to use those two pistols.

I made this picture when I was bored, and didn't think much of it and was about to send it to the trash bin on my desktop until someone told me it was pretty cool. Had the idea of posting it here in this thread. Feel free to use it however you see fit.
Enjoy!

P.S. OH HOLY DAMN MOTHER OF WHAT IN THE HELL. This thread has some... very disturbing things in it. I get the sneaking suspicion someone is going to print my art and do... um... bad things.

@Master, that is a pretty cool and awesome picture. I love it! Thanks for sharing it with us.
I have spent the past 4 hours with nothing but Thane's voice piping through my headphones. You know once I get this first round of audio files up, I might actually have time to put my stories up on that site. I should have done that first but they need to be edited and uploading and linking sound files is so tedious and time consuming I figured I'd do the hard (ridges....droool) part first.
Edit: What disturbing things....I hope no one is looking at me. :innocent:

Liara and Kaidan together..seems about right to me. (I can't help but crack up whenever I hear shepard call Kaidan her "brother" at that cafe..it reminds me of that movie Tropic Thunder where ben stillers character is trying to cry)
Also a bit unrealted I was watching Defying Gravity the other day and saw Laura Harris on there..if you paint her blue she looks exactly like Liara..kind of creepy.
Do you think they know they screwed over the female fanbase and don't care? Or is it honestly good for them? If the latter then that's just sad
Yes. Liara and Kaidan should get together.
I thought it sounded so silly to hear Shepard call him her brother. Did they forget that Shepard hadn't seen Kaidan in two years, and the last time she did he was awful to her. Now he's her brother. It makes me wonder who they have writing this junk.
I think they know they screwed us over, and simply do not care.

Why is my Shep this tore up about the VS when I take the paragon response? Can't I be nice without sound like I'm in love?
BW was definitely forcing choices on you, just without specifically saying so. They only put in team dextro, Miranda, and jack because they knew it would be a bigger crap storm. If the endings weren't so bad, they probably would have been able to get away with it.

The whole issue with Shepard practically in tears over the VS is ridiculous. It doesn't matter if you romanced the VS at one time or not. When it happened in my Garrus playthrough I was shocked because I never even talked to Kaidan. I thought it was too overly dramatic. Shepard acts as if the world is going to end if Kaidan dies. Thane does and it's no big deal. Shepard didn't get that emotional when Mordin died. She didn't even get that emotional when Garrus was almost killed in ME2.
I felt like we had no choice it what Shepard said or did. Most of the choices I made in the first to games don't even matter. It's like it wasn't even my Shepard anymore.

I pulled the audio files for ME3...there are 74 and some of them were not used. Look at the difference. I wanted to cry. Wait I did cry because some of the lines not in the game made me cry and the coughing, wheezing, choking. It was painful. But nearly 1k (965+ at least) compared to 74...WTF!!!!

I have nearly 1k audio files from ME2 that are Thane...just Thane and this includes some that didn't make it into the game, the groans, grunts, a few doubles where the line is said differently with a different tone or inflection. Ok, so maybe 50-100 of those never made it to the game.

Thane's death was not done with finesse, sensitivity or care that I saw the writers were capable of nor with a gravitas that I felt fitted the situation - even if his character was a friend. (Legion and Mordin had a much greater build-up before their demise in which you could actually interact/see them interact with the written universe.) Thane's content stunk of poor time management/resource restrictions and an afterthought. Writers might say that the result was their intention but it seems that end was the only thing they put much effort into. Perhaps he is dead in the default non-imported play because there is no narrative perspective as to why a new player should even care who he was or that he died.
It was a shame that I felt only one aspect of such a great character was even explored - his compassion and selflessness (even on his death bed!) and then nothing. That's it. Done.
It was the equivalent of Mordin having 3 near-identical investigate lines talking about the genophage, singing and then blowing up with nary an objection or reaction by Shepard.
It funny but it seems that in order to 'fix' content the easiest solution would indeed be akin to utaker's suggestion - a short message and off you go! You wouldn't even be missing out on content provided by the non-choice for him to survive as there wasn't any
I would never say that I hoped Thane would die - I was vaguely accepting that there was the possibility. But then I was also a firm believer that Shepard was never going to survive anyway and perhaps they could both go out in a blaze of glory. Turns out both went out in similarly repulsive manners. And with buggy, poorly written romance content to boot! Truly they were fated for one-another... :\\
Anyway, end-rant hehe. Next time I'll bring a Thane picture to compensate. (Speaking of which, am I the only one who thought ME2 was way more impressive for graphics conversational/cut-scene wise than 3? I have over 300 stills for ME2, the only ones that made me think 'cool' in ME3 were a few action scenes and space-battles. The convos ranged from buggy to depressingly static.)

I immediately thought of this one I wrote awhile back:
Garrus: Have you seen Shepard?
Javik: She's with that Drell.
Garrus: I figured that but where did she go?
Javik: They went into the Main Battery.
Garrus: Oh this is not good.....
Javik: You don't say. They unloaded the cold storage.
Garrus: What?
Javik: Can of whipped topping, chocolate syrup, caramel, marshmallow, ice cream, I think I saw bananas too.
Garrus: They are eating in the Main Battery!!!
Javik: Sure Turian, if eating also involves restraint devices, confetti, streamers, and some other things I didn't recognize.
Garrus: I don't want to know.
Javik: Sure you do. You want to know what they are doing in your domain.
Garrus: Birthday party? But mine is not for months.....
Javik:
:::Shepard streaks by covered in confetti, caramel, marshmallow and ice cream, handcuffs dangling from her wrists and ankles:::::
Shep: I said NOOOOOOOOOOOO......
:::Thane streaks by, covered in whipped topping, chocolate, party hat on (nothing else btw), streamers in one hand and banana in the other:::
Thane: Siha, I wasn't going to put the banana there!!!
Garrus: Looks like I have some calibrations to do....

What really, really makes me angry is the lack of acknowledgement from Shep's friends and crew following the return to the Normandy.
I'm currently on my 7th playthrough, and I can honestly say, that I'm totally, in no way, over losing Thane.
Also, regarding the Phalax. It's my favorite pistol, too.

@PlumPaul, Memorable doesn't always mean favourable. ME3 was an exercise in absurdism for me and I easily digested the endings because yes, it does appear that Bioware writers can be that bad.

You wouldn't even be missing out on content provided by the non-choice for him to survive as there wasn't any(Which is in itself completely ridiculous from a writing stand-point. You have branching conclusions for numerous characters but when it became a sure thing - everyone will be viewing/involved in the content provided he survived ME2 - they did nothing? Ridonkulous)

This was so very well said. Thought it should be quoted so others that may have missed it, get a chance to read it.
And no, you are not the only one who liked the graphics/cutscenes and conversations better in ME2.....I hold the same opinion.

I believe "And now..." is the lead in and whomever has died is injected in with just their name. Doesn't mean much when it's not actually in the game but he was supposed to be acknowledged. Again, a ball was dropped and there was no need for it that time..it's in the game files.
