  Not talent by any stretch of the means but Hope deserved it..... and it's a banana....it really is.  I don't care what it looks like.

@myth, if you ever find sense in my ramblings you can feel free to use it =D

I guess my frustration about the whole thing came in three distinct stages: 'That's it!?!', 'There is no way they'll be able to fix this as it stands.' and 'It could have been so much better.'

I agree to a few posts before about some obvious (and easy!) character responses to the ordeal (courtesy of tehprincessJ and utaker) and thought at least two story lines intersected perfectly as an opportunity for 'epilogue' content of a Thane arc: A Steve conversation (c'mon, his subplot revolves around mourning a loved one) and the VS (or even an ME1 love interest). It would have been a great way if they didn't want to enforce scripted Shepard moping but still allow an avenue of exploration of the theme of love, loss or grief. (I also thought it bizarre that Garrus was also chosen to ignore it because taking him on the RM for Thane made it seem he had the biggest professional crush on him ever! Also a potential nod to what seemed as one of the more popular squad pairings of that game.)

But yeah, I could write an essay on the missed opportunities in at the very least a writing perspective (such as having a forced LI death just on the cusp of where the narrative picks up momentum, especially when there is no follow-through, blech, why not at least lump it with the potential demise of the other ME2 squadmates near the end?) let alone my own personal fan-feelings as to how stupid it was and how much it freaking sucks.
Unfortunately the conclusion has already been reached multiple times as to the why. Bioware no care.

@Lucky, that Thane hat is amazing! I hope you can find some to-scale novelty fruit to complete the picture ;)Perhaps the banana is the new weapon of choice of short-range firearm?  (I hope that wasn't too much, but anyway, R.I.P. Phalanx pistol~)

@utaker no matter how many times I see that point of the conversation with Thane I cannot unsee the demonic possession Shep-eyes lol - probably warning enough for him to quit with the banana shenanigans =D

I can offer no more and no less, it was good while it lasted Shepard.... Make me think about Fenris's line in dragon age2 just after the first night :
was it that bad?
-"naa, t'was fine...

But AT LAST even no memory Fenris corrected politely after: " no... it is not sufisent it was better than anything I ever had in my life..." But he still leave...

What is there is with these writers ? Always with despressing things ;(

I wondered if anyone would notice the eyes, it was subtle.  I have two similar shots of that scene, one where you can see her purple irises and then that one..I went with that one because she looked like she was about to set him on fire or something.  ::Eyes shoot out a fury of fire:::: "Ha! YOUR body is dust, Thane.  Oh look the banana survived!"

@Saodade - yup; even Fenris and Hawke got the bittersweet thing better.

Speaking of Fenris, I hop around different groups when I need a break from the emotional sukfest that IS me3, and I often end up in the DA forums. Most the time I just lurk, but I do post a bit as well. Well my little haven on the Fenris thread (and yes, that thread can go through a bit of "drama", but still, pretty tame) has a new poster who brings up ME a lot and is constantly "poking" at Thane and his romance. I have refused to engage her, since I would just end up writing walls o' text to debate her "well, you knew he was going to die.....Garrus' romance is so much better, and he's a better choice....Thane's death was fitting..." Ugh! And the fact of the matter is, it is one thing to mention other games, characters, in a fan thread, but it is something else to go "flame war" on a fan thread about a completely unrelated character! The suck-pus of it is, I feel the need to avoid said thread now, because I will eventually cave.

Ok, pointless rant is pointless. Bottom line; people really do live in their own little worlds and others be damned if you don't think/act just like them. Thank the comedic Gods for all of you Drell-lickers...
I luver ya'all! <3

Ok Coldi - I went into that thread - yes, she's off her rocker, and Ghost stood up for Thane and us, so I've left it alone.  Tired of drama.  Tired of "he was dying" bullcrap.  GAWD.  Pay attention folks!  Tidbits throughout the game indicating either prolonging his life or curing the disease...anyway, I'm not going to go on about things we've covered a million times.

@LT - AWESOME hat!!  My Thane just arrived a couple of weeks ago and you have inspired me to get him some "apparel" :)  I also feel like he'd better be quick since he's only got that tiny gun, and he's going up against Dom from GoW - he's equipped with a chainsaw gun!Posted Image

@myth - DG replied to you  - I replied back.  He at least admitted that he likes bittersweet endings - which is pretty much what we got in DA (both of them).

And why does all the good stuff happen when I'm sleeping??  Grrrrr!

Has anyone ever thought of drawing fan-art of Thane wearing assassin's robes from Assassin's Creed?
It would look really boss. Preferable if you gave it an appropriately futuristic look.

Hell he even likes close combat, hidden blades are totally his thing.

Oh, my artistic muses have toyed with that idea many times...

Particularly the style used in AC2...Posted Image
When I find the time to actually study the insane level of detail that the AC2 robes has (Would totally have them dyed in the Tuscan Ember btw) I'll give it a shot.

But I feel I should give a shout-out to Xenofire on da, since I know he made a pic on this theme and it rocks Posted Image

Oh Coldi, I had to smirk so much when I read this xD I am almost every day at that thread - reading, never posting since I really love that Fenris pics and talks and fangirlism over there. It is some kind of idyllic world (if this could be with this beautiful melancholic elf - oh wait - all of your companions are leaving except for Fenris (or your LI) and you are living happy until the end of time with some really lovely little elf/human babies... It is idyllic.) :) But well since that girl or boy or whomever stepped in I am not visiting this Thread anymore. Since my idyllic world broke apart. Not nice! :(

So well I was going back to the old Republic Forums - since the stories and characters there aren't that deep they can't be that sad at all. So I am watching some Vector Hyllus and Aric Jorgan Vids again (yeah, I love my kitty cat at all <3) and reading through some threads there. Until she is going to calm down over there and we got Fenris love back. Since this was perfect to free your mind from this sad things which happened to our love over here. We need him back :crying: I mean... we really do.... :crying:

*hugs to all of you*

Good luck with your hand.  I wish you the best possible news they can give you to help fix it.

Thane cake?  Yeah, I'll try to keep the other greedy ones at bay and make them share.  :P

Sorry Saodade! I thought I replied. Stupid work getting in the way of my fun. :(

Hopefully it's an easy fix and no surgery!

As for you utaker...don't make promises about sharing. *grabby hands*

Why do I have this mental picture of all our grabby hands on the Thane cake, us smeared with colored frosting and laughing, "Did we even get any of it in our mouths?" I could only imagine the grabby hands and hysteria if it weren't a cake....but Thane. Poor guy might want to super glue his pants to his body.

LOL...I needed that "take the cake" line.  I just finally finished putting up all those Thane audio files (yes, ME3 included).  I stopped and cried a few times.  I almost broke my coffee mug (anger issues much) when I was putting up the nightmare scene ones.  I just could not believe they had the balls to put his ME2 quote in there, "it seems there will be no one to mourn me when I die.....", yeah I might have dropped a few F Bombs in my commentary on that link.

Other than that, I've been playing with the flashback scenes.  Don't ask me why because it's not like I play ME3 so much that I need these.  I did custom ones for Cameron, Hope, Faith, even Malificent....I replaced Liara and Anderson so far, I might keep Joker in for Faith, Hope, and Cameron...they did love Joker as a pesty little brother.  Awww....Cameron's Anderson replacer is the kiss before Omega 4.  I will go do a Jack for my Sheploo, like I'll ever play him but you never know.

I thought about being jackhole and having Malificent remember Thane, James (she's a pig), and Kai Leng's clothes.

@Tash - funny gal......just look for any of my posts over the past 2-4 pages on the Fenris Thread. She eventually shows up to make comments. She actually started posting about 4-8 pages ago, but I just got tired of keeping track of her crack.

@utaker - *slow dramatic clap* how the hell are you managing to do this?? I am in awe. Here, lemme fix ya a drink; I thinks ya need it!

BTW, I think Utaker just came up with a great RP game!!! If you could chose the three "most important people" for each of your Shepards, who would show up in their "remembering" sequence???? (Sh*t.....did that make sense?) Well nevertheless, here are mine:

Ulee - Thane, Mordin, and Legion. This is just how PDS rolls......
Cate - Thane, Samara, and Garrus.
Mace - Thane, Jack, and Mouse (she relates to him in a way...she is Earthborn orphan. Like Ulee, sort of streetwise......a bit more "wise" than Ulee.)
Evan - Thane, Ashley, and Samara.
Chase - Thane, Garrus and Wrex.

For the boys:
Abel - Tali, Thane and Samara
Castor - Miranda, Thane and Anderson
Kane - Kaidan, Thane and Legion
Rom - Ashley, Thane and Jack
Pollux - Jack, Thane and Mordin
Remus - Liara, Thane and Anderson

You know...I've been lurking/posting here all day. Of course I was at work, but I was the only one there.

Now, I can't help but feel that I have missed something important. But please, direct me to the hate because my day want from fantastic to f*cktacular in a matter of moments and I need an outlet.
