Pisses me off that we get to help Cortez grieving over his husband dying and we can't find a single soul to talk to Sheppard about her lover dying. Hello ? Sheppard has a heart too! Cortez isn't the only one who lost a lover!

Women in ME3 ****** me, a woman, off. I really, REALLY want to hurt whoever made that decision, and whomever made the writers write like that (even if it was the writers themselves).

Gods dammit! Making FemShep apologise for cheating when she was the one who was abandoned is along the same lines as telling the victim it was her fault for being raped!

So, inspired by this topic, I tweeted Weekes, saying whoever did it needs to explain themselves. We all know by now he won't answer me, but I'm doing this anyway.

Think if I ever go back to uni to finish my degree I think my first humanitarian essay will be on the female image in the video game industry, basing a great deal of the paper on FemShep in ME3. This NEEDS a paper written on it.

Also told DG to go back and do a ME2 pt as femshep with Thane. Also know he won't do it, but if, somehow, the gods decide to let the planets align and shoot Gaider with magic space radiation to make him do it, it would be good to have another professional writer take a look at it.

Yeah, I know it won't happen.

Thanks for trying to cheer me up yesterday guys. Still sad though. But Shell, Thane's ridges always make me smile, even for a little while.

Believe me if I was mad at you I'd be spiting fire and you'd know it. That @sshole knows who he/she is, asking me to email my fanfic I was F*CK no, I can give ya links I won't email you them. That jerk knows who they are.

@Mythlover, I was wondering by any chance have you seen any of my rants about how I can't stand that in movies, video games, celebrities, and overall everyplace the rants about Big fake boobs means more $$, and bleached blood hair, big fake boobs means even MORE $$$, and piling so much make up on a chick that you wouldn't even recognize them without out makeup, and giving them big fake boobs means EVEN MORE Money?

Yes I have many rants on the subject of the stupidity of how the bizz thinks that certain things are sexy, and that means more $$$. I tend to find that their definition of sexy is not in line with what I find sexy. But then I'm sure again I'm in the minority of America men on this issue of BIG FAKE BOOBS LOTS OF $$$$.

Yeah I have many rants on that sh!t. I even had one about how if women need big fake boobs, then dammit I want a bigger woody. I want a woody so big it looks nasty like those chicks that have huge fake boobs that look wrong, they are like planetoids and they look nasty and like they are about to pop if the lady falls on her giant fake boobs.

Yeah I gots many a rants on that stuff, and they are always colorful. Speaking of rants, tis something I maybe picked up from George Carlin, which now I wonder where's Utaker at? I saw her comment about Carlin of facebook.

I loved BW's games precisely because we could have a kickass female lead, if we so wanted and the characters were so much better developed than most other RPGs out there; and in ME3, there were moments I wanted to slap my Shep, she was so out of character and so wrong!:/

PS: Collector Armor; I bought the thing, used it once on a mission with Javik in party,lol; I kept thinking he was glaring at me and then...came the airlock comment! Armor shelved...for self-preservation!

I wonder if we did, then they would probably tell us we were butthurt because he wasn't bi. Then send out a DLC to patch ME2 and 3 to represent his new found sexuality. Then remind us that we still have Kaidan. Either way, they will show us the light.

BioWare seemed so determined to destroy ME3 for femsheps that I'm sure if Thane wasn't ill, they would make him cheat on Shepard along with Jacob.

I just figured it out. femShep's LIs were taken to make things better for maleShep playthroughs.

I used to think Garrus got lucky with his romance,until I realized (today!) that a lot of his content can be the ultimate broski content for maleShep. All they had to do was add something to femShep and that's it.

Kaidan does well because he's bi and a LI for maleShep.

Cortez gets to leave the Normandy and grow because he's exclusive to maleShep.

Miranda/Jack/Tali might have some reduced content, but they don't die or cheat on you. Tali only hooks up with Garrus if s/he unromanced.

Ashley gets the short end of the stick, but she got a makeover. All of her lines were just cut.

Liara's BW favorite blueberry.

So Jacob/Thane get the cut since they're pretty much femShep exclusive. Since Thane was terminal and Jacob wasn't well liked, it was easy to them to say "Oh, you knew he was dying" "Oh, he wasn't popular".

And even with the lesbian choices, Traynor never even gets to step of the ship compared to Cortez.

Does my theory make sense? I wish I could discuss elsewhere without it getting buried/laughed at,

I think you've hit the nail on the head. ( A part of me wishes that it isn't the truth but the more I think about it...)

My guess is that they decided to make ME3 "the best point to start the series" and as such some higher up probably said:

"Let's attract the FPS crowd! "

"Yeah, great idea!"

"Oh wait hurr durr that means our main demography is male and in their teens."
 
"Bah, Screw the fact that we have a female fanbase and that it is actually rated M for adults!" 

"Oh and screw past choices, we can't have those getting in the way for new players now can we?"

"Let's add that scrapped multiplayer title* into the main game!"

( I don't personally mind MP but idk it feels as if the entirety of ME3 got rushed because of publish demand that they needed a game release Q1 2012 that generated guaranteed revenue)

Yeah, I totally see what you're saying. Unfortunately, it's a man's world in which we live. Video games are still THEIR playground.

I just... I don't understand the choice that was made when Thane is so well loved. Hell, they DESIGNED him for us to love (or so says my ME artbook). And after all that was said and done to express a desire to keep Thane alive for at least as long as Shepard is... IDK, it just sucks to feel ignored.

I wish I had something upbeat to say here, but I've got nothing for the moment.

Your theory makes sense. MShep is the only one who doesn't loose anything in this game. He gets to have all the females and some males in the galaxy. Aside from Miranda and Jack all Msheps LI's got good content. I was surprised Tali didn't get much and you get her so late in the game. Still it was better than what Thane or Jacob recieved. Of course Liara got the best out of anyone.

Femshep doesn't even get Vega. All Vega does is flirt with you, and he's not that good at it. Whoever wrote those flirting lines doesn't  have that much experience at it. I have certainly heard better.  The only person FemShep gets is Traynor and that's it. There is nothng for straight femshep. Kaidan can be dead, and there is the fact that some just don't want him. You only get Garrus if you romanced him in ME2.

FemShep just came off as weak apologizing the way she did. Apologizing for somethng she didn't need to apologize for. Kaidan didn't even seem that hurt, but shepard acts like it was the worst thing she could have done.

I do like the "gib" out part too....heh heh.... I will have too when and if I ever bring Faith into ME3, she kept Kaidan alive and she is just too nice to ever tell Thane she's there to see Kaidan, while not there to see Ashley either but she would AFTER she saw Thane, it's just seems less douchy to say to your dying boyfriend that you came there to see your injured ex lover.

Even worse, MShep gets the opportunity to tell Ash that he considered Horizon a breakup and that scene protrayed as Ash being in the wrong so in both cases it's the woman's fault, FShep for seeing Horizon as a breakup and Ash for not seeing Horizon as a breakup.

Hmm... on a serious note though, I think it would be a very close match between Garrus and Thane, however I think Thane does have the upper hand due to biotics (Throw, Warp) and methodical proficency in hand to hand combat.
Garrus is perhaps a better marksman but in a close quarter fight I actually don't think he'd win.
His tech powers aren't going to be of much help against Thane's biotic barrier.
I know Garrus mentioned the sparring match with a female crew member but a sparring match is very different in comparison to the kind of CQC an assassin uses.
