I so want to go back to Sweden; those pictures are beautiful. I have some pics I could send in, but some of them are of places I plan to take 'plushie Thane'............'course there are a lot of places I could put together that are NOT on the plushie travel list......I'll dig through a few of them.

I want you to know that I choked on my coffee when I read, "glues velcro on her lips and eyes." And yes, Gears loves it. He may try to deny, he may try to state he's the only man and must look out for himself but he loves it.

I think we are quite sane, depends if we are going by the textbook definition of sane or not.

I love the pictures too. I have nothing here even close to landmarkish. Unless you count that giant phallus looking think they have erected in downtown.

Howls with laughter...ah can't breathe...

And I missed all the fun last night...*sigh* lemme know when you ladies work up to the jello.

Oh there will be jello....oh I cannot resist...another test...the jello song....watch it wiggle, see it jiggle and....don't tell me anyone here had pure thoughts on that.

I'm glad you like the description of that landmark we have going on. LOL....I'd like to say the wording was innocent but yeah, I'd be lying.

On a side note: The Jello festivities will also include body shots....Thane has graciously offered his body.

Emergency Induction Port...yeah, heh heh ..and Thane also has his own Medi Gel ready to deploy. He doesn't stand a chance and don't do anything you'll regret later because he will remember it in detail for later reference.

Yekkk, I come back in here and it's about to start again. Just like Ken, I'm only one man I got to watch out for myself.

Heh, I don't recall ever saying right out that I did or didn't enjoy any of it did I? Heh I sort of side stepped and let your mind do what it was gonna do. You can form your own speculations. Heh

Beat that BW I'm a master at being vague and dull, and saying stuff that seems to say nothing but really says everything. 'I'm a mater at craft 'in between the lines' your BS side stepping vague admissions of guilt and poor attempts to place the blame on someone else, and defend you stupid actions, they don't fool me. I can read between your lines. You can't hide behind your idiotic words you think are clever. Maybe if the person who wrote/created Thane&Ashley and the person who wrote/created Samara&Jack hadn't left you'd be able to have a decent writer write you some vague things that leave it all open to interpretation.

I'm not fooled by your BS sells pitch BW YOU Hear ME NOT FOOLED!!!

*looks around in here* Um where did all the ladies run off to?

I am here! I was working on my Thane's Anatomy page. Can you imagine just sitting there and cropping Thane images of all the smexy parts and calling it work? Droooool.....

Oh and I may have been getting the men all riled up on Skype. You know, pop in tell them some dirty stuff and then watch them start drooling like fools.

And I was working on this:

@tehprincessj - Yup! That's my Oscar "Wilde" pug......He loves everyone..... :D

@Utaker - Have you been holding back on us??? Love that picture of Thane you have.......mmmmmm, Thane chest.........<pant>

@Gears - Soooo wish those writers wouldn't have left. Not saying they would have a say in a lot of things, but at the very least, they would have kept all the characters consistent, and possibly would have wrote in options that (IMO) should have been there from the very beginning. Bah......just fix this bw! Fix it and watch me spend more money. Don't and I have no reason to continue with the ME universe. It's their choice, and I am just one person, but I still don't need to spend money on things meant for entertainment, that I don't enjoy..................that's just ridiculous.

Eee! I had a fawn colored pug until just recently. I loved him more than I'd ever loved a dog. I'm kind of in the middle of trying to find another one, so if anyone can point me toward pug puppies, I'd be ever-so-happy (I'm in southern Wyoming, US, but I'm willing to travel to get him - ideally, I'd like a boy, because, as everyone knows, all dogs are boys and all cats are girls XD).
and also, @ Utaker: are you on deviantART? I'd like to follow what you're doing there, artistically, if so. I'm PrincessJaden over there http://princessjaden.deviantart.com/.

I have a DA account but I haven't put anything on it yet. I was waiting until I actually finished something other than taking screen shots and making fun of them. Or something other than a gazillion and one crotch shots of Thane. I'll try to add my stuff there, oh what the heck, time to finish some of it up and stop hording it on my hard drive. http://helzmisfit.deviantart.com/

@tehprincessj - My husband and I found Oscar through www.petfinders.com . He was 9 months old at the Humane Society in Kenwick, WA. I live in Oregon, so once they had picked us to adopt him (we were so obnoxious, sending them pics of us, our house, the park near our house, our previous black pug who lived to be 15...) we drove the 218 miles to get him....totally understand driving out of your way for these guys. Would highly recommend petfinders since they work with a lot of rescue groups, Humane Society, and shelters. Wishing you good luck on your next puggy boy! :)

@utaker - so gonna go spy your DA now....................

Meh, I don't care, I have what like 2 things on it. Most of my stuff will end up on my website anyway. I am not restricted there. Yes I would like to have my arse bitten, Gears. You know me too well. I have such bad ADD, I swear...my website is a mess of going from one thing to another. Not one thing is completely done. Things I started but never finished putting up: my dirty, filthy stories, my dialogues, Thane's anatomy, those flashback files. Truth be told I am too distracted by the TV, as soon as I see some really crappy slasher movie on, I have to watch it so I can say, "that was the worst thing ever besides Mass Effect 3."

And the Humane Society won't give me anymore dogs, at least not around here. I may live in the country but the road I live on is a busy one. They have an issue with me telling them, "I won't put them outside, I keep my animals in the house that is why they all die of old age and nothing else." I suppose they have been lied to in the past, so what makes them think I'm telling them the truth. Whatever, I'm offering to give this poor animal home but by all means if you think it's better for them to be locked up in a cage with dozens of other animals, far be it for me to question you. One lady there asked me, "what makes you think you can control this animal and watch it when you have other animals." I told her, "Listen lady, I have a beagle, a few cats and a rabbit. None of them have ever tried to eat the bunny, I think I can handle it." She wasn't impressed. Meh, the bunny is still alive.

**Had this typed up yesterday to post, but held off, because it was a hot mess. Meh....might still be, but there it is......need more coffee.**

After nearly three months, one thing continues to be disheartening. There are people on this board who still think "options" for Thane to extend his life are a bad thing. Yes, yes.....these are often people who only saw his character as defined by his illness, most likely did NOT ever do the romance, and possibly don't really care because Thane wasn't exactly on their radar to begin with. Not to mention, they are mostly concerned with two other aspects; the endings and more content for their LI of choice.

Do they not see this as shooting themselves in the foot though? By adding options (which does NOT take away what is already given), they add to replayability for.....well, everyone. As it stands, many of us Thanemancers won't replay the game even with the EC or new endings (though bw says they won't give new endings). Two issues for me is that Shepard in me3 is not the Shepard(s) I RPed for two games previous, and the other important aspect is Thane's romance and character in me3. As it stands, I will not put myself through seeing that again, without options available. Now since most DLC's and expansions are based on what will sell, and what sold previously, I know for myself, I will not purchase any DLC without those two issue I listed above being addressed. This is not some kind of blackmail, or me holding my breath till I get my way, because the truth be told, either BW will address these things or they won't. I did NOT get my money's worth out of me3, since I couldn't even bring myself to finish it, so why on Earth would I spend anymore money on something I currently have no interest in playing?? That would just be a waste of money.

This is why it is so important for everyone who wants this game to be more than it is.....to have a finale to this trilogy that makes us want to play it repeatedly, and buy all the DLC, and any new games made for the ME universe......to fight for options and added content for ALL. No matter what my feelings are about the endings, the content state of other characters, or the inclusion of some storylines where others were dropped......I want to offer my support for all of it. Even if I am not writing for campaigns, or adding my screenshots, or making figurines for another fan base, doesn't mean I don't support them. I will sign petitions, add my voice to polls, and I will support their right to pursue more content for the characters and storyline that appeals to them the most. All I hope for, is that others will do the same.

I went through all stages of grief with the ME3 Thane they made: anger, denial, bargaining... Never got to acceptance. I just cant get myself to finish ME3 after that scene at the hospital and the complete lack of mourning and acknowledgement from other npcs. Heck, Sheppard's breakup with Kaidan in ME2 got lines, why not Thane's death ?!!?!? -

Cold, your pug is adorable.

I just can't wrap my head around why they didn't give players an option. That would have been the best they could have done to please the most people. We would have been happy and the the 'Thane should die' people would have been happy.  It would have added more replayability to the game. I don't see a downside in that scenario.
But I guess they had to save their resources for more important characters like Diana Allers. /heavy sarcasm <_<

I agree Coldi on all of it.

This game as it stands now is crap. It goes far beyond the ending and it goes beyond just this one game. After all the promises of what this game was going to be and then we get....this, this abomination it's a hard pill to swallow. I hear people say the graphics are great. Am I playing a different game? My graphics were not great, I was ready to attribute my not great graphics on the PC as me needing a better graphics card but then I realized they are just as crappy on the Xbox. The lobotomization of Shepard, I don't know who that character was in ME3 but it was not the Shepard I spent 5 flipping years with. Yes, the romances OMG, I chose wrong. I didn't know there were wrong choices in this game. Every choice could be argued as the right one depending on who was controlling Shepard and that Shepard's personality. LOL....I said Shepard's personality, she doesn't have one in ME3.

I do not get the mindset that this game would be ruined if Thane were given the option to live. How can it be? According to those who claim it would be ruined are also wearing banners and supporting a new ending because the game is ruined. Well, saving Thane isn't going to ruin an already ruined game, now is it?

Better yet, don't f'ing save him. Simple enough to grasp. All of you who say, "it will take away the impact of his death, it will diminish his worth to allow him to live", I have this to say. Really? The simple fact that Mordin can live doesn't seem to take away his very emotional death on the Shroud, now does it? Diminishing his worth? WTF kind of response is that? He is only worth something if he is dead? I see it as the opposite. They can't help you, they can't do anything for you, all you have are memories. I think Thane is worth more alive than dead, as is anyone. Whatever, if you lose someone you love do you turn around and say, "Oh now they are worth something because they are dead." No, you do not. Do not apply such logic on a life, any life. Or how about, "it's the journey, not the destination." Pah...I beg you to ask my father about Vietnam, I'm sure he will tell you about how great that journey was. I bet he places his answer on the destination, the journey has horrible and painful. He could care less about the journey, he only wanted the destination...to be home with his family. Besides, the Thane romance journey was not that great in ME3. It sucked and the destination sucked too.

As for BW and this mess of a game, it broke trust in the very people who loved this series. I heard someone once say, "Trust is like a mirror, once broken you can never look at it the same again." No, I can never look at BW the same again.

Just a quick post to say I've put up a mission list for the Thane photo album in both the Thane Projects and #SaveThane groups. Some missions have already been assigned, but please go have a look and see which one you'd like to take, if you want to take part. Thanks =]

^ This bears repeating.  Well said, @Utaker!

One of my favorite ways to pass the time when I am doing grunt work (i.e. dishes, laundry) is coming up with new storylines for some of my favorite game characters.  Alas, this has not happened as much over the past few months, since we have no "character" with Thane, and lacking one with Shepard.  Today however, I really started to examine how this game could have been made.  I thought I would throw a few of these ideas out there, even if "the ship has sailed", just for s**ts and giggles.

1) The beginning.  It is no secret that I have never liked the beginning of me3.  The turning yourself in to the Alliance, and sitting on your backside for 6 months has always been a sore spot with me.  So I came up with the following:
   a) Based on the final outcome in ME2, you could end up with three possible beginnings (think of them a bit like the
origin beginnings in DAO; just not as many nor quite as lengthy.)
   B) One beginning would be the "turning yourself in to the Alliance", the second would be "Captured" by the Alliance,
and the third would be "Gone Rogue".
   c) To have all three origin choices available to you, you must meet the following criteria: No more than one squadmate
dead, or no more than one squadmate disloyal.  100% of the crew alive.
   d) To have the "turning in", and "captured" option available then the minimum to get the two options is:  No more than
two squad members dead, and/or no more than two squadmates disloyal.  At least 50% of the crew alive.
   e) The worst scenarios would only have the "Capture" option, and people building a brand new Shepard in me3 would
have the "turning yourself in" option.

2) The storylines behind the three beginning possibilities could go a couple of different ways, but the general idea would be as followed.
    a) In "Going Rogue", we would have never lost the Normandy to the Alliance, nor would we be sitting on Earth.  Instead
Shepard would have some plot line involving perhaps Admiral Hackett; him reaching out to Shepard, even though
Shepard has been trying to work on his/her own to find ways to stop the reapers (lots of possibilities here).  This
reconnection with Hackett could then be the gateway at bringing Shepard and the Normandy back to Earth.  Action
to take place (combat/dialogue), then Shepard resigns to working with the Alliance again for the greater good. (How
this plays out would give people a bit more autonomy to characterization of "their" Shepard (i.e. Renagade, Paragon
and everything in between.)  As for our old squad and crewmates; some would be gone from the ship by this
time, based on certain storylines. (ex. Tali perhaps heading back to the Flotilla for a while, Mordin wanting to work
on his research in a better lab setting, Kasumi getting back to her wiley-wiley ways.....ya get the point...).

     B) "Turning yourself in" scenario would be very similar to what we got in the current game, but the six month thing is
out the window.  I would make it three months tops. Sorry, six just sounds wasteful.  There would also be more
substantial dialogue then the paultry bit we got.  They could even throw in a bit of fluff; getting an email from
your love interest, and a bit more interaction with the VS and Vega.

     c) Lastly "Captured".  Again, this would not be a six months house arrest thing.  In fact, it would be under two months
of incarceration, and though some action sequences would eventually lead to the same spot as the other two, the
beginning sequence would follow a different path.  You would also have more interaction with Vega and he would
be your team mate for that beginning combat.

3) All scenarios would lead to the same point eventually.  The most divergent would be the Rogue scenario of course, but once on Earth, trying to get to Anderson/VS/Vega, would put you at the same end point as the other two.

*NOTE*  All of these beginnings are not working strictly with what we already know that was given.  Simply put, this is an alternative to how the whole game begins, period.  Not simply a rehashing with a few added choices (though admittedly the "turning yourself in" option would play quite similar to what we got.)  This is all for fun, and some wishful thinking that we COULD have had things different.

I have more that I came up with, but I will add it another time.  Feel free to ignore or comment, or add your own mission wishes.......as I said earlier.....this an excersize in fun.Posted Image
