And uh..everything is gone...just gone. My PSU went in my computer again and I have no Thane, it's going to take me forever to download everything again. And I'll never be able to recover 1/4 of it, what ever I do have is stored on my website, so I will be here downloading ME2 again and having to redo my screen shots, videos. Oh this is painful....and I've lost all my nekkid Zevran mods too....I'm not happy. I suppose I have to get a new PSU but that will have to wait until after July as I need the money for my family vacation to the ocean. Fudge.....

@reminir - I will now have to get Skyrim for my PC just to have Thane Krios as a follower. That is fantastic! Almost makes up for ME3 and his treatment. ALMOST.

You can even marry him

Likewise all. I wish to engage in further discussions in the foreseeable future - although, to be quite frank, there isn't much to be said as far as Thane goes anymore. We've gone from looking forward to looking back at things, which is more often than not a sign of dissatisfaction and loss.

Unfortunately this is very true.

I hate to lose hope but there is so much broken with ME3 that I doubt they will spend any time on Thane. I fear he will be forgotten AGAIN.

Well, I refuse to give up until they confirm one way or another. Since they have not, I will continue. :)

Did your power supply explode? How did it take the stuff on your hard drive?

It took it because I can no longer access it without that computer, this one will not boot from that hard drive. This will also teach me not to slack on copying stuff when I say I'm going too. Oh well, such is life. I'll fix it and then swear when I have to replace it all.

I don't think anyone has given up. I do wonder how long some of us will be around. They said that we could try for DLC next year. When next year, and how many of us are going to be here next year. I would hate to see this thread or the other one fade away. I honestly think that is what Bioware is hoping will happen. That we just get over it, and move on.

*hands mnomaha a cucumber...."Minds outta da gutters, pervs!" *

I get that the "moving on" thing may happen no matter what, but bw should definately not hope for it. The day we give up, is the day that most of us will also stop spending our money on their products; or at the very least ME products (DLC, new games, merchandise.....ya getz da point).

Guess we will see. I think at least for a while, it will ebb and flow. People will/do have RL to contend with, and perhaps other interests to explore for a while. But I think at least over the next 5-6 months, these threads will still have activity.

Bah.....I need to go to bed. ciao! :P

And you know, that really, really, really pisses me off. They buggered up, and now all they want to do is stall and screw around in the hopes that people will forget about their mistakes or give up hope.

This is not commendable business practice, this is five-year-old stalling tactics - I remember doing it!

Gah! Argh!
Well, you won't get rid of me so easily BW I am a goddamned stubbon **** (actualy quote, courtesy of my sister!).

I think what happens with the EC will determine the fate of any future DLC for SP. Just my opinion though and I have been wrong before.

Think about it, if the EC fails and people walk away yelling, "that's it, I'm done with ME" and they really do walk away from SP but stay with MP, just where do you think they are going to devote their time and money too? However, if people yell, "Yay!! The EC was good/great, you came through BW, we like/love you again." Then they might be more inclined to produce some stuff to take some more of our money.

I haven't given up but I'm not really optimistic. One thing bW needs to realize is that nowadays with our busy lives and short cash we will be a lot pickier to commit to a series. As I told the story here, I came from Final Fantasy fandom and after FF14 and some other mishaps I decided to not get myself committed to another series. Video games are for fun and relaxation, I do not want to be screaming at my pc unable to finish a game.

My friends had been trying to get me to play Mass Effect and DA and other good RPGs for ages but I just felt weary of getting attached to a universe only to see it destroyed by corporations big on greed and short on passion for gaming.

To have fun I raid on WoW, I have been to their beta tests and I am the 4th best geared tank DK on my server and lost the "world first" level 85 DK race on my server by mere hours. Hardcore raiding leaves out very little time for other games but I have been taking easy since the new WoW beta started so I thought, why not get into a good game franchise/ universe ? I looked around, read reviews, talked to fans and ended up picking Mass Effect, right at the launch of ME3.

I do not regret playing and falling in love with ME2. But I just don't want to be let down again so ya, I will "get over" and "move on", from ME3. And from Bioware. Just like I "moved on" from Square and the Final Fantasy series.

There are hundreds of games competing for my money and my time. I barely have time to enjoy half of what I want to play. I wont waste my time with games I know I will be let down in the end.

Not trying to get off-topic, but it wouldn't be the first time that has happened - since the exact same thing happened with DA2 a few months ago. They scrapped an Awakening-sized expansion (was to be titled Exalted March) because they knew their game was a subpar, highly controversial product, and EA isn't know for making a habit of supporting financially weak projects.

If the EC underperforms, there is a VERY real chance that any planned campaign DLC gets scrapped for good. There is nothing preventing them from doing so.

It hurts so much even thinking about it.

*Sigh*.....Depressing, I agree with Utaker, Renmiri and Phoenix.

BW you are skating on thin ice with me and some of the stuff Bethesda are turning out....(Dishonoured looks FUN, and the Dawnguard expansion for Skyrim....Mmmmm) You might get thrown out of my gaming threesome.

The EC better deliver, or that's it for me and ME, and if DA gets the same treatment....I'm leaving you BW.

could use some feedback, making sure I don't sound so negative that Bioware disregard it.........I don't want that
Anyway here's what I have on Samara:

Samara The Blue Rose of Illum

The first time I met Samara on Illum, I was captivated. A
female Warrior of Elegance and Beauty. She has serenity in her voice and body
language. This to me is the defining attribute of what a Justicar is. No matter
what the situation and circumstances is presented, the state of Samara is
untroubled. Her composer fuses with tranquility. This was revealed right away
when during the first encounter on Illum.
This led me to do an entire playthrough with Samara on my team.

I was thoroughly pleased, Bioware

The Character Development of Samara

When Samara was on the Normandy, I understood why The
Justicar Code is the central force of the Asari Justicar. Samara explained it aesthetically;
she was clear and concise. She explained her past, her courageous battles
showing honor, even the battle with Nihlus, The Turian Spectre we met early in
ME1. I was able to grow more attach to her and why I should go out of my way to do
a Loyalty Mission and capture her own daughter even so far choosing between
Life or Death.  All this wouldn’t even
mattered, if it wasn’t for the Personal Conversations and Missions, in fact, I
believe Samara should have been a Love Interest for Shepard. Samara is IMO is
one of the best and FAR BETTER choice then boring Liara.

And a much better Shadow Broker.

The Character Development of Samara in ME3: Bioware, why did
you butchered Samara?

Did you not think I (nor any fans of Samara) would notice
the radical change of ME2 Samara and ME3 Samara!?

ME3 Samara is awful.

·
She’s boring! She has nothing remotely
interesting to say.

·
2. What’s her role after I saved her daughter?
How about her joining my Squad?
I’m saving the Galaxy!!! This shouldn’t even be
up for debate. I had her in ME2, I chose to be Loyal to her, I spent the time
to keep her alive in throughout the Suicide Mission, I earned the right to have
her on my Team even if it’s temporary, since I chose this path. I chose these
options. I didn’t choose Liara. I was forced.

  • ·
This is an Asari Female Warrior. Justica’sr are
a rarity and she’s in the game for 5 minutes………
  • ·
Citadel Conversation: ?????? what is she doing
at the Citadel? She should be in my Squad, I’m the only person in the galaxy
who actually has a plan to stop the Reapers! Who thought this was a good
idea??? I spent $80 for this!?
  • ·
    Earth Conversation  Awfully boring
and written Conversation. The clip is 20sec, NOT WORTH $80
If you want to keep Loyal Fans, this has got to change.

Hi Seifer

Looks good but I think it would be better if you didn't call Liara generally boring but highlight that you did not enjoy her character... its less confrontational. Go into as many reasons as to why Samara's content disappointed you as you can.

I realise this is just part of your review, but if its not already mentioned I'd highlight the Romance development that was teased by Casey Hudson, but never actually resolved in the game.

I really hope that BW do listen to our pleas and fix Thane, Samara etc, and I'm happy to stay here until I hear one way or the other too, but I agree with other comments that if EC fails the SP DLC will be cut short... I also will not be surprised if the EC does fail :(.

Well, I'm fairly certain that the MP levels will drop when they quit giving away free sh*t. I'm quite tired of them pimping their...oh yeah, multiplayer...when the entire Mass Effect universe revolved around single player.

@Seifer...just one little thing..."Her composer fuses with tranquility." Were you meaning to say composure?
