I ordered another power supply and 2 hours into my fun times last night, I remembered why my old ass computer was parked in the closet. It died sometime during the night. LOL. When it rains it pours, so I ran into Courtney's room and snatched her computer. I'm sure she'll be thrilled beyond pieces when she gets home from school today. No games for me at the moment but it will give me time to eradicate the things I found on her computer. I am hopeful that my hard drive is safe, as I had my old man listen to the hard drive and hold it while I tried in vain to pin point my issue. Power on...quickly off, no fans turn on and there is are no warning beeps at start up and the HD is silent but humming (no weird noises) but the inside of my case is a fricken nice shade of light brown where the psu was, so it was running pretty darn hot. It was last July that the original psu went in it and this will also teach me where not to buy any future parts for computers.
I think of it this way, at least I will be able to concentrate my efforts on dirty stories until I get my other Thane stuff back.

BW went from Day 1 purchase to a bargain purchase. It might change with EC, but probably not.

Thought about an arrow saying "This way to Siha's lollypop" but thought it was too much...

I don't think anyone has given up. I do wonder how long some of us will be around. They said that we could try for DLC next year. When next year, and how many of us are going to be here next year. I would hate to see this thread or the other one fade away. I honestly think that is what Bioware is hoping will happen. That we just get over it, and move on.
And you know, that really, really, really pisses me off. They buggered up, and now all they want to do is stall and screw around in the hopes that people will forget about their mistakes or give up hope.
This is not commendable business practice, this is five-year-old stalling tactics - I remember doing it!
Gah! Argh!
Well, you won't get rid of me so easily BW I am a goddamned stubbon **** (actualy quote, courtesy of my sister!).
This is exactly what it feels like. Stalling tactics.
It feels like they are going to stall and stall until we all eventually move on, because they know eventually a lot of us will.
I have to agree with everyone else. If the EC doesn't do well than they probably won't make many more DLC's. It still looks like they don't plan on changing the endings. It really doesn't matter for us anyway. Even if they were to fix it Thane is still dead. At the end of ME3 he's still the only LI you can't talk to and it just makes me so sad.

I'm going to try to stick around even though I'm jaded and pessimistic. I've been trying to work on, well, not being like that, but it's tough.
Posting this one again because this Shepard looks just like mine:

I've got a rather large fic plotted and started, but my drive seems to be missing (plus, it's summer now, so it's hot, and my kids leave me with very little "quiet time"). I need to write Thane to at lease air out my thoughts and feels, but I need to quit being so bleh before I can do it. If that even makes any sense.

Random Thane-related question about something I noticed in-game: In one of Shepard's nightmares, Thane's voice is in the background... and I'm pretty sure I heard (and subtitles confirmed) that he called my Shepard "siha". The confusing part is that I was playing with a FemShep who romanced Garrus. I know he does call unromanced FemShep "siha" once in ME2, but I thought that all times after that, he was supposed to use "Shepard"? Is this a bizarre glitch, an oversight, or just one of those times that he'll call all FemSheps "siha"? I mean, I've already had a few other strange moments at the endgame where people are calling her "sir"... so a glitch/oversight wouldn't surprise me.

Thane thread, I finally managed to register my game so I can post here again!(Very long story. I had to use a public gaming place to make an Xbox Live account so BSN would acknowledge my game.) I've missed this thread. And so have my Shepards.

Well, I know that Thane calls Shep "Siha", promising to tell her later what it means before the ,"I have come to care for you" conversation, so technically the romance hadn't actually started and Thane just sees your Shep w/o the romance tinted lens...
But this is BioWare we're talking about. They "forgot" he was a romance. They barely bothered to throw in a few Siha's during Thane's ME3 conversation. They didn't carry over that particular conversation path over from ME2, they just messed up again.

Yeah, I think that's the same ME2 conversation I'm remembering, where Shepard says her translator must have glitched. That's the only other time I can remember him calling her "siha". Unfortunately, I couldn't hear the dream well enough to make out the rest of what he said, except that part of it sounded like the prayer they recited in the hospital.Visii wrote...

Pretty much this. First time I heard the quote (that I think is the one you're talking about), I was on a Shep that was with Kaidan. I usually just hear him whisper "Shepard" or his prayer, but I clearly heard him say "You are a great protector, Siha. But some things are beyond even you."
It took me a while to find where he actually says this, in game, and it's specific to a romanced Shep during his death scene. You have to pick the renegade line "Did you know this was coming?" with Kolyat as soon as you enter the room. This leads to Shep automatically saying something different when Thane says "Siha. I'm afraid I picked a bad time to leave." She says, "Damn right. I didn't give you permission to die on me." Thane coughs and then says, "Don't. Don't make me laugh. Hard to breathe." (and then, of course, the line in question) "You are a great protector..."
So yup, bug.

Well, that explains it then. Now that I read it again in your post, I definitely recognize that "protector" line as the one from the dream. And that sounds like a great scene, I'll have to try it out sometime.tehprincessJ wrote...

Heheheh....ouch.
Can I just throw my hiking boots at 'em? GoodGod! I could bake bread in those things......they'd be rendered helpless, pleading to have the foul stench removed. Eventually conceeding to giving us an option for Thane, and a lot more (quality) content.......ahhh, but to dream........

It might be suckup or he too never really got to "know" Thane. It really helps to romance Thane, but I will still contest that broShep CAN get to know Thane very well (and I RP aspects of who I take with me on missions, and since Thane was a must have....well, ya get the point), and I really do feel Thane see's more worth in living, then speeding off to his demise.
But, I would say most that thought he was treated well in me3 did not take the time to understand his character AND they didn't care enough to examine his dialogue and content in me3.........and we know our feelings on THAT.
