Garrus was never tempting for me.. He's too alien with his looks, I imagine him being, hmm, rough and not very good in ...physical contacts. But that's just my opinion;) he looks a bit like a dinosaur... It seems character is not enough after all... :innocent:

But I have to admit, Kaidan is handsome, I liked him especially n ME1...also nice, but a bit boring, well, maybe not that boring, but with so many aliens, humans loose my interest.

But Thane... sexy, handsome, confident, dangerous (I think I have a thing for asassins and snipers), mature, caring, compassionate and so on...

I can't hide that my Shepard's choice was what I would choose. Angie Shepard is mostly reflection of what I would do. Other Sheps not so much, but even my renegade Shepard, Nimue, is not all that bad, she's kind for most of her crew, her Li is Thane, but is obsessed with power ( I am a biotic god!) and really likes to blow up things/ throw mercs out of the windows.

I admit that I found the humans to be a bit boring compared to the aliens. Oh look a shiny new toy! When ME came out we didn't have much of a choice with FemShep, you got either Kaidan or Liara. Well, my FemShep has an issue with romancing anything with boobs, so Kaidan it was. Found him rather dull but tolerable, not a good foundation for a lasting relationship.

Then came ME2 and they threw male aliens in there. Oh yes! Finally! Again, no boobs for FemShep so that left...stay with Kaidan (no thank you, not my type), Jacob (no, reminds me of Kaidan), Garrus (uh, no, he got thrown into friend zone quite early in ME and well the thought of my FemShep sticking her tongue in his mouth and getting it pierced by his teeth was a bit off putting), and Thane (Holy Mary, Mother of God! Who is that!!! Yes, this is the one! I think I just died and went into Hormone Heaven!). Reminded me of DA:O and my impressions there. Zevran! Oh dear, come to me you naughty little elf. Thane had my FemShep the moment he dropped from the vent. Zevran had my Warden with his response to her comment about bed warming.

Each of my FemShep's reflect a part of me, I don't have one that is all me. Cameron, her penchant for blowing things up and her sense of no regrets. Hope, being a troll and mischievous. Faith, her heart. And even Malificent, her outlandish, ridiculous behavior and her "this is who I am, take it or leave it" attitude.

I came into the series on 2 so Thane was my first. I watched the intro video and was like "oh he's a pretty thing! Maybe there will be romances like in DA:O" He's always been special. Never take him and Samara though. It was like having both disapproving, philosophical parents with you lol. Such fond memories.
I didn't really get the whole Garrus thing until I bought the first one and played it. He's my special Mr Kitty now.
Kaidan....blergh lol My first impression of him was bad since I just met him on Horizon and he was a total douche. In 1 I could barely understand what the heck he was talking about. He was cute but he was all psychobabble and ken doll hair.
In 3 when Thane said Kaidan had been wanting me to come visit and should he know something about that. I picked the "We were intimate once" option even though it felt more like it should have been "We slept together once and now he thinks he owns me"

Taking my first love away from me is not cool Bioware, not cool.

Ok, I really laughed at that because it rings of truth.  At least to me.  I really did want to find the switch to his hosptial bed and fold it into a "V" shape with him still laying in it after he used the word "cheat."

I don't want to blame Kaidan.  It's not his fault that whoever wrote it like that apparently thought of women in the servant role to men.  "Oh, I'm soooooo sorry Kaidan, we were apart and then Horizon, I had a moment of weakness and humped the first alien that came to my room before a SM.  Please don't hate me!  Yes, he was an assassin and it's not really my fault.  He was so sexy and I was so upset over our fight.  He was a dying man, I felt bad for him.  I figured he needed one more good lay before he died.  I was doing it out of pity not because I loved him.  It's you I love, Kaidan, I swear.  Oh forgive me!  Now pardon me Kaidan while I go back out to the waiting room and give the dying man one more moment of happiness.  I'll be back to grovel at your feet after I'm done dry humping and making porn noises with that assassin.  He's dying!  Don't worry after he dies and no-one not even me will remember him, I'll let you back on the Normandy where we can resume our meant-to-be romance.  But don't feel bad that right after I jump back into your pants if I have a dream where I hear that assassin's voice.  Pay no mind to that.  Oh I love you!!"

Meh...

I don't know about everyone but Thane was more than a pity f**k to my Shepards.

That was cruel Bioware.  Cruel to portray Thane as dying, then coming to love Shepard only to have her think of him as a one-nighter.  What kind of message is that?  It's ok to toy with someone's emotions if they are dying?    Scares me more that they purposely had a FEMALE Shepard act like that.  What exactly does that say about where they place females on their importance scale?  My FemShep was reduced to what I can only describe as a bar w***e.

That part is most disgusting. I mean Shep's behaviour. You summed it up just right. It's my Shepard that i don't recognize, maybe some people really treated Thane romance like a one night stand, but not me.

Now I really enjoy going through ME2 to make  screenshots. Thane is awesome as usual and I like him even more.

Thane is up to something...

ME3 was made for men and men only. I wouldn't be surprised if DA3 only allowed you to play as a male. To me the entire game is atrocious, not just the ending. I've never been one to complain about games. I didn't feel the need to come to the bsn about DA2, but ME3 just fills me with such hurt and exasperation.

@Porcelyn - That is my feelings as well. I have had plenty of games in my life that I found boring, not my taste, bad, even atrocious. But this game was different. It's not like going into an IP blindly. Many (most maybe) have been in this series since ME1 (or got it slightly backwards and started in ME2, then went and purchased ME1 and started a bunch of new play throughs). Point is, we knew what to expect in quality (having first hand experience with the first two games), and (of course) we had expectations about how the game would actually be like (storywise, Shepard and other characters-wise.....). The game took a swan dive off the Grand Canyon.....<splat>. So even though I have "wasted" my money and time BEFORE on other games, I didn't have a starting point, or the familiarity with the IP to get bent out of shape about it, when it turned out bad. I chalked it up to leaping before learning (should have read more user reviews and the likes). I NEVER pre-order games, and this one I did for all the reasons I listed above. Stoopid lady. Me = SUCKA!

Just watched.  This does not sound good.  Considering the new forum terms, though, I wonder if we'll get spanked for discussing it here >.>

Moira, I don't believe a word they say. Not one word. Fool me once and all that. Oh boy several minutes of epilogue. They really think one dlc is going to fix the garbage they pushed out. Pretty obvious they still don't care about Thane. I'll gracefully retract this statement if it turns out to be wrong but they burnt their bridges. Sorry I am so angry today. My cat broke my mum's china vase with two of the roses from my dad's memorial in it and I am very upset with him.

I'm not expecting much from them with this dlc either. I would be surprised if anyone form the ME2 crew makes it in there. At the very least they should fix those flashback scenes. I will be more than pissed if I have to see Liara again.

Then it could have something for the rest of them, but how much could they give Thane. He's still dead in everyones playthrough. Maybe they will at least give us him in a flashback.

I still wonder if most of it will go to the characters that were in your crew from ME3.

I hoped the IT was true. Now I can erase ME3 from my memory and pretend it never happened, yay! Shepard keeps her Normandy, Thane is with her, cured and at full strength. Together they face Reapers along with any squadmate I care for. After defeating the reapers they continue wandering through the galaxy and as a Spectres they bring justice and protect the oppressed. From time to time they land on some beautiful jungle/desert planet and enjoy their vacation. Ah, and of course there is no Shepard, only Mrs. Krios. :)

If only Bioware would have done something like this.

Well, my xbox's disc drive is messed up and it scratched the hell out of my ME3 disc, so if I want to be bothered with the EC, I'll have to use my PC. In which case, I won't know if they fixed the flashbacks or not because I replaced all mine with Thane.

As for the new forum terms, yes it has everything to do with the impending crap storm that the EC will most likely cause. I was in a BSN group that discussed the endings and had people who had the Space Edition and right after it was launched and as the Space Edition people were finishing and revealing the endings....the forum rules were updated in March. We all laughed because we knew why they were really changed because people were going to hate the ending, hate what happened to the characters and a storm was approaching. When asked a Mod stated in PM that it was not because of that but it's BS, they changed the rules just as the storm was forming in the background from the Space Edition people. Yes, they were writing to complain about the game.

I was a semi lurker in this Thane thread before the game was released (may have posted one or two times last year) but once I found out his fate from Space Edition people, I couldn't look in here anymore. Everyone here was full of hope and I felt like crying when I realized you all were going to get hammered with something beyond painful. Actually, most of us in this group could already feel the tides of despair that were going to occur with Thane and Jacobmancers. The only pure thing I experienced first hand was the actual scenes with Thane everything else I watched via stream from others playing the game. I was told Thane was coming up and I would cover the stream with another browser window and turn the sound off.

So, I guess I want to know if I'm allowed to talk about Thane in the story in this thread or not? Or am I just to talk about what I'd like to see from Thane, him nekkid, him in pirate roles, or does it matter because no one from BW really checks in here. Or if they do, they don't comment.

This is why I couldn't be happy or excited about ME3 coming out. Once I read what they had done to Thane in the leaked files. What excitement I had was gone. I hoped that the files might be old and that they may have added something but no such luck.

Are we not allowed to talk about Thane anymore?

ummmm.....k, just reread the TOS changes (saw it when I logged on, but didn't pay it too much mind). Isn't "what happens/ed" to our favorite characters "story content"? I honestly don't understand what they are trying to dictate here......If I discuss Thane in me3 (and that includes my experiences AND opinions about him) then I am most certainly discussing story content. And if I point out, "hey, there is nothing Thane related in the new epilogues" then again, that is both Thane related, and story content related; so where should that go?? Just let people have it out (within reason, of course). Time is the biggest debuffer of rage...not an Orwellian set of rules. I know I still rage from time to time, but honestly, the rage has quieted some, and in time (after that which shall not be named, apparently) it will be pretty quiet again. Moments of frustration, dissatifaction, saddness, you name it will exist, but it won't continue to be an all out flaming diatribe.

I'm just sayin'.......................

Oh, and......Thane. :)

*EDIT* Spelling fail....

I am going to go out and say what they meant was, "Please do not start EC related topics in places such as character discussions/Multiplayer/Non-Spoiler sections, etc."

I did listen to the little podcast and chuckled when they said it was hard to fit what they wanted in under 2 gigs which is the dlc content limit. Or did they say it was challenging to get it to fit in that size constraint? Well, I'm not listening to it again to find it. So, even the extended cut itself was victim to a few cuts. Why not just do what they wanted to do and if it didn't fit, make it more than one download? Haven't they already been to this dance and already seen what happens when things are cut, downsized, etc.?

I am in favor of just letting them rage, as long as they keep death threats and insulting one another to themselves. I have nothing better to do than to grab my popcorn and wait for the parade of, "that's it BW, I'm done, I'm gone from here" and two seconds later showing up on another thread.

Oh and Thane is NOT currently downloading the EC:
